David Attenborough is the fucking nuts thread.
The natural world is the craziest fucking place ever.
Lets get some crazy animals / parasites / fish / mammals / etc up in this thread.
Ill start with one of my favourite and move moving features about the Blue Whale. I love that we can know so little about such a gigantic creature. It really blows my mind when i think about how little we know about the ocean.
and please excusr the fucking giant faggot trying to make this shit dramatic
Narwhal are fucking amazing, they almost seem fictional.
THE NATURAL WORLD IS FUCKING MADNESS! LETS GET IT ON IN THIS THREAD!
Everyone should own Planet Earth on Blu-ray at least. I like the shots showing scale, couldn't find the white birds (forget what they were) flying along.

BBC Earth is amazing, and indeed David Attenborough is almost hypnotizing with his voice, great documentary all together. Some clips from the first two Episodes that I could remember:
In the last one, starting at around 0.20-0.30 a white shark pops up. It seriously scared me a little - 720 resolution / fullscreen is advised =)
Look at his hand and equities, what do you expect him to have here, uno cards? - TianYuan

I wish I could be more helpful but just google them. I've seen pretty much every series that has been shown here in Australia (ABC channel) over the last 20 years or so and they have all been good. I tried to find some titles for you ie/ the private life of plants and the birds of paradise one but I think they are in the Life series? Not sure what episodes I have seen go with what titles.
"Attenborough is known foremost for writing and presenting the nine Life series, which are presented in chronological order below:
* Life on Earth (1979)
* The Living Planet (1984)
* The Trials of Life (1990)
* Life in the Freezer (1993)
* The Private Life of Plants (1995)
* The Life of Birds (1998)
* The Life of Mammals (2002)
* Life in the Undergrowth (2005)
* Life in Cold Blood (2008)
His voice is synonymous with wildlife documentaries for British audiences, and the principal series with which his narration is associated include:
* Wildlife on One (1977–2005)
* BBC Wildlife Specials (1995–2008)
* The Blue Planet (2001)
* Planet Earth (British version) (2006)
* Nature's Great Events (2009)
* Life (2009)
* The Frozen Planet (2011) (in production)"
Outside of these I would thoroughly recommend watching his appearances on Parkinson (4 I think) always great interviews and stories. Attenborough on Parkinson Another one

The Natural History Museum in London is having a special showing...think its called 'After Hours Science uncovered' on the 24th September 4pm-10pm....apparently a bunch of other countries are partaking in similar things on that day/around that time.
just found that. pretty sick. its of the fastest animal on earth with a small camera on its back. falcon that goes a fuckin 150 mph lol. also the end has a pretty sick bird that flies through very very heavily wooded areas. pretty awesome stuff.

His earlier documentaries are much more in-depth, with attenborough bouncing around showing his pure excitement at life! I recommend Life on Earth from 1979 which is just stunning and The Trials of Life from 1990 which is my favourite - it focuses on behaviour. You can torrent everything he has ever done. If you want to look up his others, they are The Living Planet (1984), Life in the Freezer (1993), The Private Life of Plants (1995), The Life of Birds (1998), The Life of Mammals (2002), Life in the Undergrowth (2005) and Life in Cold Blood (2008). All the recent ones annoyingly seem to be mixed up bits of film from the earlier ones now.
Researchers used brain scans to show that when straight men looked at pictures of women in bikinis, areas of the brain that normally light up in anticipation of using tools, like spanners and screwdrivers, were activated.
