CALL CALL CALL
u never have a flush here right?
plus this guy is an idiot. don't be a pussy just call I bet he's gonna show up with stuff other than a flush a lot of the time

think about it. he just called a massive turn overbet. he's probably looking for any excuse to shove this river with any draw.

i mean shit. watch him flip over k9. we can't be putting him exclusively on the flush here.

So he had the flush?

If she touches you 60% of the time, and is aggressive with her tits, you have it get it in before she crushes your nuts on the turn

vs most villains I kindof like the turn overbet if you do have the FD, shouldnt get many calls... I think I fold on the river unless i get the feeling hes a little crazy, since his turn calling range is probably pair+draw hands, and not many people are balsy enough to make this bluff.

Interesting choice to overbet the turn for value though, you don't think he can get away from pair+draw obv. Really nice play imo.

I would be so pissed to overbet turn like that and that card on river lol.

handbanana21   United States. Mar 18 2010 17:12. Posts 3037

awesome spot, he prob had a sick combo draw on the turn, but is still behind when he jams so wants to hit first. Def a fold i feel.

phexac   United States. Mar 18 2010 18:13. Posts 2563

This dude plays pretty retarded and is definitely a loser at the game. Not really sure what to do here. Only thing that really makes sense for value is something like Tc9c/JcTc/QcJc.

One reason I have for a call here is that your turn OB makes it look like you have a vulnerable made hand such as PP or a bluff and he is trying to bluff you off it it. I think I call here because I don't think he ever puts you on a draw in this spot and his backing into a flush draw is pretty unlikely. There is a good chance he's just being retarded here.

It reminds me Durrr overbet bluff on river vs Sammy.
Maybe he had just seen it, and wanted to try it out. lol ?

I think he can put you a often on a big pocket/AK(+FD ie) So he could be
shoving it so fast (~=so happy about it) with worse hands than you hold, like sets, 2pairs.
Since you most likely has a big pocket or draw that missed (if u dont flopped nutz like here).

I call, despite we are almost 2bi deep. With 50% need to be better here I would still call.

I agree...
Is this a bluff? very rarely, because of the way we played the hand
can he be valuebetting worse? not really given the board texture
so wp if you folded, even if you're on top of your range
edit-
I mean,if he puts you on a really strong hand is he really trying to put you off of it because Kc came on the river (repping a disguised draw that hit)?people don't do that often enough

new shit has come to light... a-and... shit! man...Last edit: 18/03/2010 22:44

this is usually a fold unless villian is super spazzy / eratic

Since you mentioned he is a SNE I would fold here and not think too hard about it

what the fuck did he just check call the turn with?
he checked the turn with no intention of folding, even to a 1.7xpot bet
must atleast have the flush draw
maybe he has the other flush draw
i think hes atleast got the flush draw either of them with straight draw as well.
maybe he only shoves when he hits and just check folds when he doesnt?
a7cc,JTcc,QJcc,QTcc,A8cc,A9cc,a5cc
is he check raising, QTdd,QJdd,JTdd on flop?
i dont know feels like theres alot more value than bluff.

I"m not sure if this makes me want to call any more. He's a proven loser, but a very slow loser, -1bb/100, which doesn't really indicate that hes super spazzy, eg the type to overbet bluff the river on a scarecard, but it might indicate that hes the type to chase draws without getting paid off enough when he hits.

Fraser   Canada. Mar 22 2010 03:52. Posts 4605

I mean check calling the turn there just to push river when you hit just seems like a simple minded play that a marginal loser would make.

Edit: just noticed that most of his losses are from fixed limit. Still 34k hands 2/4 6max nl tho.

so for all of 09...he was down like 100k....but SNE...does that mean overall hes up like 50-80k + two seats into tourneys?

wait wha?

edzwoo   United States. Apr 06 2010 18:23. Posts 5911

I said call because I couldn't think of a possible hand he takes this line with, and I've went through one or two situations where some really weird and bad regs played a set like this. But I forgot about 87cc,97cc, and A7cc

3 combos is a lot more than zero, so I might have to change my mind and go to fold now...

ATcc, QTcc, JTcc, A7cc, Q7cc, J7cc, 97cc, 87cc, 74cc, A9cc, Q9cc, J9cc, T9cc, A8cc, Q8cc, J8cc, T8cc

Hes defending his BB, people like to close the action with suited cards, 100% of these hands also never fold the turn
