Neither do I. You make 1 gate tech he speedlings you lose. You make 2 gate zealots he roaches you lose. If loco truly found a way to beat this it would be revolutionary.

A ff buys you what? An extra zeal? You'd have to keep up some constant FF action for a while. You cant block chokes.

you can generally have 2 sentries by the time zerg speed rush comes so you can get 3-4 ff up before they break in. in that time you can either make more units, maybe get a colossus, get cannons, etc, just gives you a lot of time to tech or macro or defend

also you can let a few units up and divide their army (not half because zerglings can glitch through it, but closer to about 1/4 their army) and it forces them to back off

trust me the only people who have had of taste of it so far are zergs, so nobody can steal my build. I did show it to a couple LPers already. so far everyone thinks it's an insane tech and I'm confusing the shit out of the people I play and I think it's hilarious. I'm having so much fun with it I don't want to share it. I'm well aware that it's selfish and not the purpose of the beta but I don't care at all. there is a lot of competition going on in my division even though it's a beta. after iNcontroL bragged about being first in my divison earlier in the beta I said I'd challenge him for the first place and he accepted. If he gets his hands on my replays he will stop struggling so much for certain and I wouldn't want that :D

Well I guess there are no good zergs then because I'm always at the top of my division and I get matched with the best players from every division.

Just to give you a hint I have beat every single standard builds by Z with this so far, including fast speedling harass on KULAS RAVINE, that's right, the biggest piece of shit map for P. Same with blistering sands where they just break the rocks and there is nothing you can do about it but be harassed like a little bitch either by a roach rush or some shitty speedling build into mutas. I've destroyed those zergs easily and a lot of them are #1 in their platinum division.

he managed to get at the top of the division twice, and he wasn't even 1st for more than an hour each time but he took screenshots and posted it on his facebook page/TL net blog and he was like "me and louder are going to battle it out for #1!" ...

although I'm a overall much better protoss than him and i don't fear him surpassing me in any way anytime soon, i love to see him struggle and will do all that its my possible to stretch this out

is there a way to play this game without a beta key? wouldn't mind trying it out, but not planning on going crazy

you can, but i think you end up only being able to play the computer which is stuck at the 'very easy' setting and is basically equivalent to you playing your brother pav while he's jacking off

You know stargate opening is not super revolutionary if you mean that. Its just not that wide spread.

Well I wanna understand where people are coming from. I'm not sure people are playing versus the really good zerg players. I hear comments about robotics, stargates, etc but games are decided far before that. I've been playing one and I've been unable to stop his rushes without cannons. Not being able to block choke is killer.

He'll send in a drone and if you 1 gate you get lings, if you 2 gate adn actually produce zealots you'll get roaches. Just seems killer.
