Quitting LP + Coaching

You know, it never occurred to me I could just "quit" LP. I think imma do just that.

Loco, you are clearly overreacting, think about it yourself. Are you ready to give up site which in the first place brought you into this game/taught you how to play, just because of one person that does't agree with your view and expresses that in quite arrogant way?
Yea LP became quite a waste of time, just because there almost zero actually usefull material, yea there are a lot of users who enjoy berrating/fighting with people etc. I myself semi-quit LP just because of many negative emotions i got there while posting my blog. There are people(e.g. baal) who enjoy you seeing you in pay and they are ready to bite you whenever possible.

But cmon, its the LP, whole ex BW community, all BW friends etc. (well most of the old users no longer posts). I feel there like at home and i owe a lot to this site and i would never quit it just because i got in fight with someone or because it stopped producing usefull information..

Well most LP regs know each other for ages, and in Loco's case it woulnd't be right to treat LP as a random internet website.

I read someplace that when people communicate, almost all of it is body language, pitch, tone of the voice, context, all that stuff which really matters, and shows what people mean and stuff lol. And on the internet, people miss understand eachother all the time, and it shouldn't be taken serious or affect us at all.

Just shrug it off, rise above it.

Well thats sorta the point of LP these days, its more about wasting time than learning, but in a good way. Also I do get a lot of info on current stuff that go on in poker here. So like if you wanna quit because you dont want to waste your time and be more productive (har har who wants that) obviously its your choice, but dont quit because something nazgul said about a comment you made, who cares lol

Didn't read the whole thread but whatever he said. I mean it's all ex bw players, did you really think there'd be 1 or 2 person that would say "i love you" instead of "lol @ sucky redline" on this nerd forum ? Hardly they'll ever be.
I also think that's a good way to keep a very good friendship, because it isn't about "wow you did great" but rather that "mm good BUT..." and it never ceases. It's a good way to improve.
But hey, nobody's stopping you, afterall i'm pretty sure it isn't different than any other forum. Pretty sure you'll be coming back after a while ~

this is probably the most important (internet) community im a part of. pretty much the only ex-bw poker community right now. i'd think, even from a selfish standpoint, remaining a member of this community would be extremely important not only for the friends but also this community will look out for eachother.

whole thing seems like an overreaction. clashing viewpoints happen. maybe look at it from naz's side, all the recent scamming hurts him a lot more than any of us since he owns part of the site. if i were in his shoes on a personal level i would be unbelievably offended and hurt at all these people that come to my house, act like a friend, and then steal money from other friends here.

who gives a shit about the owner of this site, it's about the community. just because u dont like bill gates doesn't mean u dont use word.

It has just given me the additional push that I needed to make it happen. It officially became unacceptable for me to keep posting here after that. I obviously am never getting a green star after this too, so what is there left for me to work on? Nothing.

My game has improved by itself because I dedicated the hours in the past months. I have literally learned nothing at all from LP in these past months, simply because there is not much HU content here and the discussion is made via MSN with fellow HU grinders. If you believe that because I've improved so much I somehow owe it to the site to stay here, I strongly disagree. What LP gave me I feel like I have already given back threefold. It has become apparent that it does me no good for my personal life and I have done my time with internet communities.

Thank you all for your posts, some of you are great dudes and I look forward to meeting you guys and playing some StarCraft 2 with you.
