How long did it take too

I had my first 30k+ month 13 months into my "real" poker career. But I had played some before that, mostly grinding freerolls and pennytables from time to time while underaged so I had some experience.

I heard someone named NeillyAA did it within a week.

It's not a matter of time, really.. It's more how much effort you put into learning the game. Most players will never have a 30k+ month.. A lot of people never even get to 30k bankroll.. I think you need to be realistic about this game, and the questions that you address show that you're not. I mean, it's nice to have goals but your goal is so distant that you're bound to be disappointed 1000 times before you'll get there.

A question for those that are doing 20k+ a month, how may hands/hours is that a week on average? I'm assuming you learn a lot more as you go, so returns go up.

you will make money if:

you play abc at FR nitring 8 hours solid robotic poker at stars
dont care about results and never tilt.

maybe in 2 years you can make prolly 20k playing 1knl FR multitabling

i had my first 20k in my first month of online poker. got meat's $25 for $75 on teamliquid.net. bust. did it again. bust. again bust. then deposited 500 couple times discovered limit insta played 10/20 all the way to 100/200 and also got 2nd in 50k or 100k freeroll for 6k or so. and i busted next week. didn't cash out a dime. =o. i did this like 30times+ again and again untill i finally learned bankroll management from rek which was like 10buyin rule. it was really hard to follow since i already had a taste of high stakes. looking back, i was deffinitely worser degen then neilly. difference was i had money to spew around with

what im tryin to tell you is its not about how you make 30k its about how you do it. Any1 can luckbox their way into 30k. In poker, making money is not skills, knowing how to keep it is the true art.
