Uhh this is very sad news. I had so much respect for Chip.. Definitely one of the best from the old poker school.

o wow very sad, chip was one of the best all around players in my mind
I was looking for the interview on cardplayer's "The Circuit" (didn't find it) when they had chip as a guest, it was just fantastic and a must for anyone who hasn't heard it
2part circuit chip reese interview really great interview he tells a lot of interesting stories about starting out and coming up and crushing the cash games. You have to skip to about 1/2 to 2/3 way through in each of them to get to the chip reese interview part.

Chip was the single best player I've played vs online. It was a very small sample obv but he was owning CTS at the table which not too many people can do and it just seemed nothing worked vs him. Also this was before I even knew it was his account.

He was a father with a young son that he was raising well, too. His son is a rising star baseball player

Chip Reese isn't one of the TV pros that gets an undeserved amount of fame for getting lucky in one or two tournaments, he was the real deal and a very good card player. If we're looking at overall proficiency in all poker games, he was one of the best, if not the best
He never chased after fame, he had a lot of interesting stories to tell, he was a good dad and a good, thinking person
