I think Durrr, Antonious, Esfandiardi, Greenstein and maybe Laak is playing really good. The other weak tight legends made most of their money at times when nobody knew poker was even a skill game and got too lazy to evolve their game

now ur talking u finally included the crucial piece of info that makes ur criticism viable
I definitely think Jelle has some valid points in this discussion, and so has the opposition. What alot of you 100nl grinders berating people on high stakes poker fail to realize is how diffrently these games play compared to 100bb poker for pennies online. Most players are playing way over their roll and most of them are way over 200bbs deep, causing some players to make suboptimal decisions because they are playing scared or trying to reduce variance.
Lets put you 100nl grinders on a table surrounded by cameras playing 10/20 and we will see how optimal you will play.
That being said, some of these plays we have seen in the seasons just cant be excused. I dont think Lederer has played one hand well so far.. That isnt all that strange as howard is an old school player from the days when you could nit it up and win alot of money playing very abc. I think he understands most mathematical concepts of poker pretty well but my guess is he isnt playing much at all these days(why the fuck would he, the guy owns full tilt poker ffs, he laughs at durrs pokerdb stats) and the AK hand against durr is such a perfect example of how much poker has evolved and how lost howard lederer is in this new enviroment.
what wackass site is this nigga?

Haha I liked it when Laak was pushing Patrik around a little for fun and he was still just sitting like a rock, just as the commentators said "wtf is he touching me for?!"

I agree with all the variance-reduction part. Only Durrrr/Antonius and Ivey are in their comfort
zone playing those stakes, I guess.
But even if Howard does select hands as a nit - he plays 11/7, imo- I really think he plays
very strangely postflop, making a lot of mistakes, not ABC at all. The only ABC part, is the ability
to select the good cards preflop. But his turn play with TT was so horrible, I mean, if
he really wants to reduce variance, why not check/call turn and river ? Easy play, weak-tight, but still good imo. I really think he looks like all those super bad break-evenish nit-regs we can find
on NL400 fullring tables on FullTilt.
