JJ's pre fight promotional shenanigans are getting a little tiresome imo. Though to be fair, I don't think the UFC has done a great job of promoting her in this event and in general. Feels like she needs a finish in this fight or at least several highlights for her train to really get faster

I like Rose's demeanor heading in even if I can't completely tell if she's in full DGAF mode or if she's not fully confident

Joanna suffers from the same problem as DJ. She has no real competition, so her fights are never very exciting.
And unlike Ronda did, she doesn't do spectacular finishes, she just grind decisions.

I mean don't get me wrong, i enjoy Joanna and DJ's fights, but they need real competition.

Difference between them and Jon Jones, for example, is Jones even tho he had that invincibility aura, he kept facing killers and u never felt 100% sure he would win his next fight.

JJ vs Rose could be so easily promoted, they are both super badass, once JJ wins this the division is done though

I like how Bisping and GSP act promoting the fight, its trash talk but its funny and its not overly agressive e.g. McGregor - Mayweather type where you simply get sick of the acting ... its funny, its smooth and its chill

I'm not the best MMA better, and i'm biaised as a french canadian, but i would favor GSP. Here is my opinion:

Reasons to bet GSP:

Bisping is bigger, but they actually have the same reach.
GSP is a special king of talent. Usually, when a special kind of talent moves up, he just tears apart people from the higher division. Just look at what Gastelum did to Kennedy. Or what RDA did to Neil Magny. But GSP is an even more special athelete than both of those guys. And i think Bisping is over rated. We're talking about one of the best champion ever, fightning someone who shouldn't be champion.
GSP is a very calculated guy. He isn't a Conor type of person who takes random fights he can't win. He never accepted fightning Silva. If he took this fight, GSP himself thinks he is a favorite to win it, i'm sure of that.
If this was a pure boxing match, i would clearly give the edge to Bisping. If this was a pure grappling match, i think Bisping could stuff GSP's take downs. But GSP isn't a one trick pony like Maia. He is dangerous both on the feets AND with his take downs. His timing is genius. I think this will be the key to GSP's victory. Be threatening on the feets, and come up with take downs out of nowhere to secure rounds.

The last times Bisping fought good wrestlers, it was Kennedy and Sonnen. Both of them beat him. And GSP is way better than those fighters.
GSP has a big home town advantage. GSP is huge in canada.

Reasons to bet Bisping

Ring rust is a thing. GSP claims he is better than ever, but i think you can never ignore a 4 years ring rust.
Bisping probably has more power than what GSP is used to, and GSP has been KOed before.
In theory, this is a good stylistic matchup for bisping.

Iol those are the worst rasons ever to bet GSP besides that he didnt do well vs good wrestlers before, however this was pre USADA, and GSP has never fought post-USADA, that combined with the fact that GSP has been retired for ages and smaller its an easy bet on Bisping

Thoughts on GSP vs Bisping.

1.) USADA plays a pretty important role.
GSP in his prime was almost as jucied up as Overeem.

Bisping however never was that type of guy.
I am pretty sure he has used stuff here and there (everybody has)... but he never was a living pharmacy shell.
GSP was !

This is a clear edge for Bisping

GSP for the first time fighting without being juiced up to the max...
Bisping fighting the same way he always fought his career.

Only good thing for GSP is that he had 4 years to prepare his body towards functioning without all that steroids...
GSP is not stupid and he probably adapted halfway decent withing this 4 years.

Still USADA makes it Bisping 1 - GSP 0

2.) Natural Size
Bisping is ~ 184cm and 208lbs (sherdog numbers on Size are definitely wrong)
GSP is 177cm and 195lbs

This will, even though GSP is as strong as Bisping make a difference.

From my personal experience ->
Size advantage makes it easier to not be taken down
Size advantage makes it easier to stand up after being taken down
Size advantage makes it easier to take punches
Size advantage makes it easier to dictate range

Pretty sure at several times in the fight GSP will take Bisping down
GSP is just too good of a wrestler.
It will cost him hell of a lot energy though and he wont be able to hold Bisping down for long.

-> Bisping 2 - GSP 0

3.) Ring Rust/ Off time
Dont think this plays an important role.
Bisping has been off 1 year and GSP 4 years...
Both basically have the same Problem.
1 year or 4 years doesnt really matter imo.

Still 2-0 Bisping

individual Skills

Bisping is solid on all levels.
Good Striking , Good takedown defence , good BJJ, good Wrestling
Bisping never was that extraordinary talent.
Always that guy who was good ... but never " really really insane" good

Gsp however was insane
This actually is the only edge GSP has
extraordinary talented guys sometimes come up with incredible solutions to seemingly overwhelming problems.

Bisping 2 - GSP 1

Overall i expect a clear descision win for Bisping 60% of the time
Late round TKO for Bisping 20% of the time
GSP pulling some miracle 20% of the time

U see what i did there with A8 ? He 4 bets and there we go insta jam A8 : ---booooom -- . hahahaha ( Krantz)

I entered 3 teams into the 3-max Televised event. It didn't fill, so I am taking a shot.

Basically, the fight getting stopped in R2 via doctor stoppage = gives everyone who had Blaydes on DraftKings a BIG lead.

Blaydes would've gotten a lot less if the fight kept going.
