2-1 Bhullar imo

Decent debut for Bhullar.

He doesn't throw leg kicks, and he gassed after 2 rounds. He trains part-time at AKA.

He reminds me of a much lower level Daniel Cormier.

That was baffling. That TJ would possibly miss weight as a reason isnt a strong enough reason considering they went with a Borg who no1 knows and who has gone ahead and actually missed weight 3 times. TJ isn't super famous but he's definitely not just a nobody in the public eye and I think enough people would've realized there's finally a real threat to DJ thus creating at least some sort of public interest and tension in a fight of his. Something he complains about ('need more $$$') and something that's been missing in pretty much all his fights. I enjoy watching Dj but the reality is that most people don't and as long as he keeps being stubborn about just beating up 125ers that no1 but hardcore fans know, nothing will change for him no matter how many records he breaks

I think its not so much that people hating watching DJ, its that DJ never gets real contenders so it gets boring really fast. Its like if McGregor after defeating Aldo decided to sit on his ass and defend the 145 belt forever. There would obviously be interest for his defense against Frankie, maybe a Holloway rematch, but it would quickly get old if he beats all competition easily.

If DJ moved up for a super fight i think there definetly would be interest.

Hm, I thought he was also offered the Garbrandt fight upon him returning from injury, but I'm mistaken. That would've been a cool fight.

Anyways DJ wants to get paid because he s good at what he does, he completely disregards the public's interest which is obviously a terrible mindset when you're a professional entertainer. He s the exact opposite of McGregor when you think about it. His request of receiving the purse, if TJ misses weight was absolutely fine though, imo.

Got an offtopic question - what happens to Whittaker? He has to wait a year before GSP & Bisping happens and then the winner taking a few months break only to unify the belt or what? Or are they just gonna have the division run with 2 belts with a defence of the interim belt as well? Super weird.

Exactly, his mindset is the total opposite. Its like McGregor thinks "hmm what fight will i do next that will blow the fans's mind" and he doesn't seem to care so much if there is holes in his record. DJ on the other hand seems obsessed with a perfect record and seems to think "who's the easiest guy i can easily beat next".

I missed the last 7 fights, but I'm glad Nunes won.

Shevchenko will drop to 125 and fight for the title in 2018.

it doesnt feel like a robbery because Valentina didnt hurt Nunes, but it was a clear cut win, Nunes just landed like 3 jabs and weak kicks and when she took her down Valentina landed from the bottom many hard punches and Nunes didnt land a single one.

I thought Amanda Nunes dominated that fight and won all 5 rounds. 50-45.
Watched it with GF, we both felt that way. We were shocked, to hear it was a split decision.
