RDA was -195 and honneslty in my mind it was a close fight. But RDA made it look easy.

I think UFC has proven us time and time again that raw talent > size. Maybe this can teach us a lesson on what will happen in GSP vs Bisping. GSP arguably best WW of all time, and Bisping had trouble against a 45yo Hendo.

james9994: make note dont play against floofy, ;(

Bisping's game isn't based at all around size though and I'd almost throw out a Hendo matchup in comparison. The size could factor into helping him fend off GSP's takedowns though. I can see the match just playing out almost entirely on the feet where it's going to be GSP's jab heavy game vs Bisping's technical boxing/kickboxing with Bisping having to adjust to someone a good bit faster than him for once

Lost a good bit on Valentina. Pretty bitter about the judges. The fight and belt swinging on that 'takedown' in round 5 is everything that's wrong with MMA judging in my opinion. All Amanda did that last round was push forward slowly and get countered until she almost accidentally reversed a takedown, took the back though doing nothing with it and then got Valentina down only to lay around to get punched in the face some more. But because she was on top, she gets the round. Archaic judging. One day, judges will be able to remember the 3 other minutes of a round even if a takedown happens, will properly give credit to strikes landed from the bottom, and will not overly give credit for a takedown that serves no purpose besides to kill time. One day

Just saw the ME, I'd say it was a pretty clear 4-1. Might be 3-2 too, I could see round 5 going to Schevchenko... Nunes did take her down and took her back but did 0 damage, while Shevchenko actually hit her quite a lot and damage> control so...

Control should be heavily valued. You can't control somebody stronger than you.

It's like, can an ant control a lion? No.
Can a lion control an ant? Yes.

To have control, you by definition have to be stronger. I thought Amanda Nunes controlled the whole fight, so she by definition wasn't weaker than the challenger.

The challenger wasn't able to break her control. Retaining her the win and title. Pretty simple to me.
