The point of that post was to highlight the fact that even with his mood disorder that had him hospitalized, RiKD held down that job for a lot longer than Baal could have. In other words, it's a double standard where he is holding RiKD to a "higher" standard than himself. I didn't read Kropotkin one day and decide to quit my job. I'll simplify it for you. Amazon gave us a raise to $15/hr, then they basically doubled the work. Not instantly because everyone would realize what was going on but slowly and calculatingly. I was a human trying to keep up with impossible quotas. I had to negotiate to take a piss break let alone a proper break which is against the law but the bossman doesn't give a shit. I quit because my working hours were miserable and I had a presumably better option lined up.

In that role there was no way up. Supervisor was an even worse existence. Team Leader seemed pretty bad. Store leader at least had some autonomy it seemed but was also chained to the store and a major dickhead. There was one corporate role that seemed ok. This guy would just go around the store and think about what was most aesthetic. Take some pictures and talk to the team. Fly or drive home. I bet he went back to Atlanta and had great meetings on the aesthetics of the fry fryers.
