I personally want Conor to win easily, simply because Conor is like the fucking perfect guy for the sport if he actually lives up to the hype. He is insanely fun to watch, has sick skills, sick personality, etc. Not only will he move up to 155, but i wouldn't be surprised if one day he has the guts to take shots at 170 if needed.

I never watch MMA (except GSP for obvious reasons) but I'm glad I tuned in for this one. Holm was just spectacular. She stuck to her game plan and pretty much toyed with Ronda. Even before the final lethal kick/pounding you could tell she had the victory in the bag in the way she just pushed her down like she was garbage. Rough night for Ronda for sure. It reminded me a lot of GSP vs Serra. It's funny because at the very beginning of the fight I was telling my friends "it looks like Ronda has never been punished for being overconfident and overaggressive and it looks like she will never stop until someone punishes her". Hopefully she will come back from this like GSP did and owing Holm a lot for teaching her to get on another level like GSP did.

Matt Serra had a one lucky shot that KOd GSP that could happen to anyone, this is not what happened, Holm absolutely demolished Ronda, if they fought next week Holm would be favourite.

I dont think Ronda can beat Holm in any near future (obviously can sneak up a submission sometime), now lets watch Cyborg vs Ronda for a title shot :D

Conor grew on me a little the way he acted after beating Mendes as he showed some humility and emotion for the first time. I'm sure he only acts the way he does to hype fights, trying to create a draw etc. He's certainly successful at doing so, he def gets people to love him or hate him (me included obv), but I still much prefer the guys who go about their business without the need to hype fights, talk shit etc. I accept what he does is smart in terms of creating revenue and I expect he's a much nicer person outside of mma, but I like the quiet and humble guys and don't really like those who run their mouths and hype fights in the way Conor does, he's just not my kind of person. I'm not sure about Aldo, I've never taken a dislike to him from interviews etc but maybe he's done things outside the cage that I don't know about? How come you dislike him?

It's not that I dislike Aldo but Conor is just way better for the sport/business if he becomes undisputed champ. The bigger the UFC becomes, the more people get inspired and drawn into it, which allows us to witness more special talents throughout the years.

oh I almost forgot...

Called it motherfuckers!!!

:D

The highlight of the fight to me was when Ronda got frustrated and bull-rushed in and fell face first when Holly wasnt even there anymore... crazy athleticism though she landed on her knee so fast like a cat

Fair point! Can't deny that

One day good. One day bad. And some days, even hope

I've heard GSP say it many times, he didn't respect his opponent and he lost because of it. He vowed he would never repeat the same mistake again and said he learned the most out of that loss. This here is the same thing. Rousey didn't respect her opponent. It's just that it showed a lot more here than in the GSP vs Serra fight. GSP wasn't that reckless for sure.

And yeah I'm not saying the whole fight reminded me of their fight, just the situation/mindset of the defending champion. I agree that Holm was on a different level here and most definitely would win again in another early fight.

I'm honneslty not confident Holm will be favorite in a rematch. We will see.

I agree with Baal thought.

Holm didn't get lucky. She totally outclassed Ronda.

That was my favorite MMA moment since McGOAT vs Mendes and Weidman vs Silva I. I am so fucking happy. Amanda Nunes vs Holly Holm is the fight to make, but Rousey will probably get a rematch or in a less likely but possible scenario just fight Cyborg and retire and Meisha Tate would get a shot over Nunes for political reasons. Holm would wreck Miesha but not necessarily Nunes. Nunes is the most manly fighter in terms of technique along with Holm. I realize that some would construe that as sexism, and to you i'd say fuck off.

194 coming up, sick ass card, already have a lot of bets down. Some shit cards in between.

+$177.00 on the night which is terrible considering the whole picking Holm thing. Did well in DFS tho.

Dana White is clearly phazed.

Rousey got destroyed, physically outclassed and mentally not there because of the publicized beef between her mother and coach

I never said the opposite. I thought Holm had a perfect fight. She's the better fighter. I was not comparing the fight itself mainly, rather the mentality of both GSP and Rousey coming into the fight and the aftermath. They both came into the fight expecting to win and didn't respect their opponent. In Ronda's case though it was an even bigger mistake because her opponent was actually much better than her, unlike with Serra and GSP. And I'm saying that just like with GSP this could be the best thing for Ronda because she no longer gets to feel like she's on top of the world -- it has exposed the holes in her game and it should allow her to reach new heights if she stays focused and works hard.

Though it should be said, the GSP vs Serra fight wasn't just a lucky one hit KO, GSP got battered. It all starts from this one heavy shot though which may or may not have been lucky, hard to say imo.

God damn, Holm looked so much more on point than her previous fight :O!! Really rose to the occasion. Ronda looked... not good, but largely Holm's fault for just destroying her in every way.

Squeeled like a little boy/girl when she won :D

Hm.. Off-suite socks..

Haha same, several moments of just cheering out loud :D Cut angles so fucking well, and her takedown defense was solid.
