If D Rose continues to look like that throughout the playoffs, there is no doubt in my mind they can beat the Cavs

That was so enjoyable to watch

Bulls staying healthy is like trying to win 4 flips in a row

It could happen.. but I wouldn't bet on it

first game of Spurs/Clips didn't disappoint, so pumped for this series. too bad Doc needs to run his starters into the ground to have a chance, CP3 gonna be on life support by the end of series.

Bought the clips to win the series at +160 and took them as a pick em in game 1. To me paul deandre and griffin are like 3 decent maxes with some dysfunctional kinda bad pieces around them but serviceable enough to all in all outskill/out talent spurs

i'm still kind of leaning Spurs, but it's def close and wouldn't be surprised at all to see Clippers take it. SA needs Parker to be playoff Parker and Green to get out of his slump. and maybe Splitter or Baynes to lay Griffin out a couple times :S

will be interesting to see what Pop has Leonard doing defensively next game.

Clippers starting 5 are among the best +- in the league (I think they are #1) they just have a terrible bench. If you watched game 1 this showed, once the clippers started sat down SA cut the 12 point lead in in like 3 min. Seems like
CP3 >>>> parker,
Blake > Duncan,
Deandre > any spurs big,
Leonard >>> anyone hes up against,
Reddick = Green.
Spurs bench >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Clippers bench.
If spurs can breakeven vs the clippers starting unit, they prob win the game a huge % of the time

CP3 is an animal, so under-rated. Playoff Cp3 is just ridicilous. That being said they cant beat GSW with their awful bench production. They would prob need to play their starters 42+ MPG.

i think they'll need 42+ mpg vs Spurs too. i know CP3 had slightly less in game 1 but a lot of things went right for the Clippers that game. Spurs shot poorly and just missed a bunch of shots they normally make. Blake and CP3 played about as well as they've ever played. i think they'll continue to play well, i'm just not sure they'll be quite that good every game of the series. Spurs don't really have a good answer for Blake, but it would be fun to watch Kawhi try like TimDawg mentioned. and Crawford was on fire, but he's mostly been inconsistent in the playoffs during his career.

kinda depends too on how Parker's ankle is after twisting it in game 1. i know he's old, but he definitely wasn't himself after that happened. which is kinda big since imo part of CP3's big game can be attributed to not having to expend as much energy guarding him (and defensively Spurs can just throw Parker on Redick/Barnes or something and have Kawhi worry about CP3 if they want).

thought pop did an awful job coaching game 1.

-i would run hack a deandre the entire time my team was in the bonus. patty mills, jeff ayres and matt bonnar? we gonna need all 6 of your fouls guys.
-parker is hobbling around and still played 29 minutes. would have had cory joseph in right away.
-having the said hobbled parker guard cp3 is silly. put kawhi or green on him. sure he might blow by them but he will have a lot more trouble doing what he did.

the clippers match up well vs the spurs. theres just no big who can stop blake. the only possibility is to maybe do something crazy like have splitter on deandre, kawhi on blake, duncan on barnes, cory joseph on redick and green on cp3

i would also be fouling blake hard the entire series until he is mentally taken out of it. have baynes tackle him a few times and hes gonna curl up into a ball and take mid range shots only.

its not like doc has many bench options, but id basically play cp3, blake, deandre, redick, barnes, 38 minutes each, play crawford 30, and find 12 minutes for a few scrubs to fill in while there are other starters out there. doc has no clue how to stagger rotations

all of that said, the spurs shot like total shit and were still somewhat in the game. think the series is still about a flip

as for other playoff stuff:

-memphis should be about -1500 vs portland. portland is close to stone dead, wants no part of grizz physicality and POR has the worst defensive backcourt ever. lillard and mccollum are like swiss cheese, beno udrih is lighting them up. LMA is amazing and completely matchup proof, but the man cant take 35 shots a game and carry your whole team
-GSW is gonna steamroll through the playoffs. took them at +200 to +220 before playoffs started. think theyre close to 50% to win it all

-its funny how some teams just own or match up extremely well with other teams. for instance GSW >>>>> MEM. but MEM >>>>> LAC. but GSW only slightly > LAC. and GSW > HOU, but SAS >>>>> HOU. really strange. will be some fun matchups in semis and finals.

-and nobody gives a shit about the east.

was tempted to put a bet on Warriors at 11/5 or whatever the odds were to win it all after reading Nate's article about Vegas possibly underrating them, saying they should be closer to 50%: http://fivethirtyeight.com/datalab/is-vegas-underrating-the-warriors/

from what i've read though his track record in sports is much shakier than in politics, partly because he was one of the first smart people to use statistical analysis on elections, while there have been a lot of very smart people applying statistical analysis to the major sports for a long time before he came along, so i thought there was a decent chance Vegas was still sharper than him.

nate silvers only verifiable sharpness was during those election prop betting lines that he wrote about. other than that his sports betting picks have been str8 gutterball

yea i came to the same conclusion, was just saying my past thought process out loud i guess. part of me still thinks Warriors are underpriced (prob not nearly as much as his model suggests) but i'm not betting them so w/e.
