The most logical rule change I can think of is that instead of shooting two free throws, the team / player have the option to inbound instead of shooting free throws, since its only the terrible FT shooters who are intentionally fouled.
Another option available, lets say once a team reaches a threshhold of fouls in a quarter (9 for example), then the team can shoot the free throws with any player on the court instead of the player who was fouled. This would also affect late game situations where the last 1 min takes 15 min to play out since you can now keep your best lineups on the floor instead of just the lineups with good FT shooters.
We expect them to change the rule, anyone have better options (without punishing the majority of players who are at least decent FT shooters)? |
