The greeks just became the team i despise the most on this WC, they don't deserve this at all, they didn't deserve to get out of the group, they didn't deserve to reach ET this match, and now they ll probably win. This is the weakest Costa Rica yet @ this WC and they still played waaaaaay more efficiently. And the dives the greeks did on such simple stupidass situations make me despise them even more (i get it if you dive on a really important place, its part of the edge of the game... but midfield @ slowball,or that GK @ corner wow..... ) , they are absolutely pathetic. So disgraceful...

No he said in the post-match interview that he dove in the first half outside of the penalty box. Somewhere around the 35th minute or whatever. He told the Dutch reporter because he wanted to apologize and said it has no place on the pitch. Any other time he supposedly dove, he didn't. He should've gotten a penalty in the first half too.

Btw, Colombia is +388 on 5dimes right now in 90 minutes vs Brazil. Considering they're playing better than Brazil I think it's a great bet.

yeah but mexico also should have gotten a penalty on the first half when a dutch defence kicked him in the face, and the last one yes marques did touches robbens foot but it does not warrant a penalty especially when it didnt impede a likely goal or anything like that.

And im being 100% objetive I have no emotions invested in this

Sad to see Mexico out of the world cup, they didn't deserve to lose this match, but many times football roulette decides on its own. Great game by both teams, best match so far on WC. I expect to see now Neth in the final.

Guys let's get real: the ref didn't call it when there was 2 penalties during the first half and the one he called was not one.
Not only Marquez barely touched him (if he even did), Robben did a hollywood dive to emphasize it.

I live Robben, I think he is very much entertaining player and skilled (when not injured lol) but that one was lame really.

Mexico surely didn't deserve to go out like this but well played holland for pushing it untill the end. You always need that bit of luck to win the big tourneys ;-)

Robben's penalty was a bit cheap, but to be honest Marques is too clumsy with his foot and Robben takes advantage of that.

However, he should have had a clear penalty in the first half.

Great WC so far. Colombia been the best team, but haven't really been tested either. Will be a really interesting game against Brazil.

IMO Marquez stepping on Robben's foot (the way he did) should not warrant a penalty at all. WTF if penalties are given for slight touches like that then we would have 10+ penalties per match. Atrocious. I was cheering for NLD btw, It's just that I hate when refs change the outcome of a match, even if it's in "my" favor.
