After blackfriday, I made a friend on sc2 on twoplustwo chat. I played a lot of sc2 during then as a substitute for my poker withdrawal and he was always there. He played some poker too and claimed to be a 100nl reg. I did some PTR stalking and saw that he's actually a barely break even 50nl rb pro and threw a lot of jokes from the 100nl reg claim.

After few month of solid sc2 grinding, I made a blog post saying how ill have ppl watch me play for small hourly. He read my blog and asked me if he can be part of that. Knowing his bankroll, and considering him a close friend that I recently spent countless of hours with, I let him sweat me for free. We talked a lot and still played lot of games untill D3 came out. I abandoned sc2 and conquered the D3 world. He didn't play d3 much so I lost touch with his progress.

Fast forward to now, he's playing up to 50/100 regularly and made over 250k+ from 3 digit bankroll in little over a year.

[x] hope is still there

Harder, less people play, fenced markets... what's not to like? Couldn't we just go back to 2004, please?

People stacked off with top pair regularly. Party Poker 10/20NL in 2007/8 makes .5/.10 nl look hard. My $/per hour about 1/4th of what it was back then and before.

People in 2008 said that ''the games are nothing like they used to be'' regurarly i remember

I think its usually people on big downswings that stand behind this type of talk
