well all i would think is that it has something to do with believing in god t_t (not trying to make fun of religion or whatever, just thought it was peculiar b/c it was the only non-poker thing i noticed)
but fair enough, your spirituality shall remain a mystery to me |

Won 5bi at NL200 PLO
won .5 bi at NL400 PLO
What exactly does that mean? NL = no limit and PLO = Pot limit omaha. I'm confused, I assume you mean 1/2 PLO and 2/4 PLO |

He is doing this because he feels like he has a safety net due to all the people willing to stake him when he goes broke. Because of this he can continue being irresponsible and not have to face the consequences of his actions. |

also - when i was in mu - multiple times i tried getting brad to pay off my debts and offered him x2 the amount for it (right when i moved to costa - right before about 35 + 45k *80k* was made)
but mu was at 40k before that was happening and i was paying 2/1
and he wasnt willing to pay any of them
i havent had any of my own cash really for the last year other than living expenses.
now that im playing again on my own, ppl should feel like those ppl that are waiting for money from FTP. Elated that they are MOST Likely going to be recieving everything they have been owed for a while. And its easily forgotten that I paid off 20k of 27k/*54k won @ vancouver* just to make it so its 11k + PTP *6.4k*
not ez diggin out of holes that you can make yourself
do what u gotta do or get to doing something else, obviously you guys know pokers what I'm going to (gotta) do.
I only posted this on LP to stir up the forums etc, I don't play PLO at all, I was pissed, in the mood, 1 tabled and ran like god. What can I say
I am a poker player that has a ton of gamble to him and as long as im rolled for the games I like to play, I don't mind taking risks.

if you can't quit poker i would at least try to disassociate "gamble" from whatever romantic notions you seem to have of it. |

Thing is, the level of self denial he shows would make the act of getting professional help very difficult. And it wouldn't be very effective even if he did somehow end up there if he kept the level of self denial up in his head. But hey man. Being in 'debt/makeup' or whatever it is for 58358935 years and managing to travel to Costa Rica...talk of moving to Canada and etc...pretty impressive. In a twisted way. |

i quit poker in 2010 or w/e when black friday hit for 6 months.
i was 40k in debt.
baza88 found me and backed me for MTT's.
I paid off 20k of debt on my first trip to vancouver.
my 2nd go around w/ brad i got deep in makeup fast, and couldn't really get out of it to finish paying my debts, but do not get me wrong, it was always my intention to get all my debts paid before i start stackpiling cash.
haters can hate, say all the idiotic remarks you want.
I've been doing this for all the right reasons for the poker industry and my own name, and the name of LP since this is where I learned..
i went 40k in LOAN Makeup by OTHER peoples decisions to OK it and back it, and they were all aware it could take a very long time to pay it back, which is why the debts are to ppl with over 100k br's etc.
1 of them have asked me for the money (Lee) and is OK with when Im going to pay him, and everyone else doesn't care, since they are robusto as shit, which gives me time to make it and not worry, esp since they know I am working my ass off to get this square.

I feel like it's not hate coming at you but rather disgust by the same decisions being made by you over and over again. From the looks of it, people still try to help you once in awhile then you post hands from a game you said you weren't meant to play, then you quit, then go again, then quit. Being 40k in debt from something other than school loans, a house loan, maybe even a car loan, seems a bit odd and makes me question said person in debt. I hope everything goes well for you but it is just silly to me seeing you play NL hold'em .50/1$, 1$/2$ PL Omaha, and all those pricey MTT's and expecting a steady income. It's like playing random professionally in SC 2, pretty $#%#^^ hard to do. |

ynot, whynot? im a freakofnature! jk - that was a one time thing, i know how terrible I am at PLO.
I've played 2k hands of NL50/NL100 6max yesterday, and had to run NL25/NL50 this morning cuz not enuf NL100 tables going, and don't like to play 3 limits.
Suprised how little of players there are on NL50-NL100 @ Heroz |

you did this "one time thing" about 3 weeks ago.
You actually ran it up to $1k (according to your graph, from that blog post). Which would have paid off quite a few people, but you're a degenerate so you gave it all back and then some, and then tried to claim that you were "up $100, finished down $200"
Then you said you quit
Now youre playing again.
Same pattern, same result, every time.
You always talk about "how much you've learnt" but you exhibit the same behavior in the same sequence. Its to the point that most people here can probably guess the contents of your next blog post.

Theyve probably read your blog and consider it as good as gone, you made an analogy of yourself to FTP post black-friday, youre actually more like Ultimate Bet.

Because you're traveling around the world with money from 2:1 loans, in the blissful belief that you'll run up a big score, get even with MU, pay everyone back and have enough left over for yourself.
I'm sure it was fun being in Costa Rica and sprinting down to Western Union to collect some funds that someone had sent you out of the kindness of their heart, so you could eat some food for the first time in 3 days.
This isn't normal behavior for a 27 year old.
Seek help. |
