Speed Math - Page 5

keep getting between 30-40 everytime. Dont understand anyone getting 45+ consistently on this thing and I'm an actuarial student.

got a 14. Used windows calc for half of them.

Your arguement is totally invalid. Being extremely good at mental calculation IS a sign of intelligence. That obviously doesn't mean every smart people are extremely good at mental calculation, or that everyone who's extremely good at mental calculation are very smart people.

I suggest that for people that are looking to get better at their mental math skills is to read Michael Shermers book: "Secrets of Mental Math"

Your argument is totally invalider. You went on to summarize everything I said in the later two sentences of your post.
Smart people aren't necessarily good at mental arithmetic and people that are good at mental arithmetic aren't necessarily smart.

but I'm 100% sure el_tanque would not score over 10 without cheating

i saw this thread bumped so i clicked the test again and every problem was 30+11, i didn't do anything with the settings
