I was in Val Thorens a couple of weeks ago - great place to ski/board.

HOWEVER SINCE I BROKE MY LEG THIS OLDYEARS EVE BECAUSE I DECIDED IT WOULD BE GOOD FUN TO GET ON THE FRONT OF THE TAXI AND TAKE A SHORT RIDE..........i won't be skiing this year

I've been in ValTho for about three times. There ain't too much of a clubbing scene out there, basically 3 clubs, the Malaysia, Baramix and one I can't remember the name of. Malaysia can be decent now and then. Usually the clubs aren't too lively though in my experience, just too many people that like to sleep relatively early. As for apres-ski bars, you being french, you probably want to avoid the Veronica Snow Cafe and Le Monde, which are basically colonialised by the dutch (including the music). The Shamrock Cafe is a nice irish pub to have a beer in a relaxed atmosphere.
Oh and skiing (screw snowboarding) in the 3Vallees is soo friggin awesome....never gets boring. Good choice F4zi!
