HELLO YOUTUBES! It's been a while. If you have no clue what I'm talking about, you obv have not witness the musical genius of Ronald Jenkees so go youtube his ass asap! One of my New Years Resolutions was going to be to start updating my blog again, but since I'm super bored right now and my sister's house has the worst internet in the history of internets (can't even 1 table without getting disc every other hand) I thought that I might as well start updating my blog today. I've had a pretty rough last couple months in my life. A couple days after I came back from Mexico, I got a call from my dad that my mom had a stroke. At the time I was stuck in the middle of the 2k at WSOP going into Day 2, so I couldn't head back but my dad assured me that it was minor and she was going to be fine. Then a few days later my mom had another stroke, this one much worse. I'm not really good with the medical terminology and shit but my understanding of the situation was that the 2nd stroke was causing pressure to build up in her head so they had to do some brain surgery to remove the pressure and fix the swelling. After the Main Event (which was a disaster on it's own, that ended on the 2nd day for me) I immediately headed back home. My mom was in a coma for 3 weeks, and it was just really tough for me to see her like that. My mom eventually woke up at the end of August and was stable and coherent of her surroundings. The stroke had taken a toll thou, as she is bed ridden for a while, and is in the process of learning how to talk again. I stayed in the Bay Area for most of August, before heading back down to San Diego to move in with my new roommates: FrinkX and [vital]Myth.

Back in San Diego, things are chill as always. I spent most of September, October, and November surfing and playing poker. Raidan909 constantly told me over the summer that I was the laziest poker player he'd ever seen, since I would only log in 30-40k hands a month, and compared to my roommates over the summer, yea I was lazy caz they are all the sickest grinders of life. But I play WAAAAAAY more than both FrinkX and Myth combined lol. I swear if FrinkX replaced Diablo 2 / Call of Duty with just poker grinding he'd be such a monster. And if Myth takes a 1/10 of the time he spends trolling LP and turned that into serious grinding times, he'd be at nose bleed stakes by now.

In October we met up with a bunch of 2p2ers that lived in San Diego, along with Clayton and the ever so infamous carrotsnake. Meeting carrotsnake was pretty awesome actually since he was my arch nemesis back in the NL100-NL200 grinding days on stars. We found out that there was an entire house of 2p2ers that lived 3 mins from us, of which included: Tommyhawkers (aka ONEFINEAZN on cereus), TJorTeeJay (aka: RunHotBaby on cereus), Jfish (aka: SmartLAG on FTP), Sponger, and ktrieu (aka Mr_Tea). Had some fun nights chillin with those guys. In November, Rekrul decided to move his ass to downtown San Diego, and got a place in the same ballin' building that Markus (LURPED) lives in. It's pretty sweet having so many poker players in San Diego, esp to hang out with caz they really understand what you do. Like, I can't be complaining that I just played 5 hours only to make $500 after being up $3k to my college friends who have some $15/hr job caz then I sound like a douche bag. But the other poker players get it!

Me & Clayton from 2p2/Leggo

As for me and my poker, summer was a disaster over all. I was up 18k in the first 3 days of playing cash games at Wynn 10/20, and then spent the next 2 months bleeding it away. I ended -24k live, and -12k online (FUCK U FTP DOOMSWITCHING!) along with -40k in WSOP tournaments (Sorry peachy ) After summer thou has been pretty solid. I put in the grind, been playing upwards of 60k hands a month online, and have had constant 15-20k months in August, September, and October, before hitting a looooong break even stretch in November, ending in -2k for that month. December was one of the better months of the year for me. I moved a lot of my roll to CEREUS and other euro sites to grind (thanks Tommyhawkers for the advice), and been doing some sick heads-up grinding of 2/4 - 5/10. Live poker went awesome for me at Bellagio, as I ended up 12k at 5/10 and 3k at 10/20 along with being up 5k online all before the 15th of the month which was real nice. Only played 4 tournaments during the Bellagio series, of which 2 I bubbled then I cashed in the last one which was 13th in the 5k for basically nothing. Went back home only to see myself come back a week later when Evan made his WPT final table. Ship the life-shippin' shit hollaaaaaaa~~ Ended the year up somewhere between 175-180k which is some lol since I only made 63k online while spending most of the year online grinding. I need to play more live imo

So right now I'm just back in the Bay Area chilling. I'm stay at my sister's place playing with my lil nephew whos closing in on 11 months old. I'm trying to get the lazy ass to walk, but he has the thunder thighs which makes holding himself up difficult. I was walking at 10 months so this kid better get walking before I leave to SD. He can stand on his own, but now he needs to start moving in one direction. Visited my mom in the rehabilitation center and she is doing better. She is still in the process of learning how to talk, but is awake, very coherent, and is very emotional. The doctors are really optimistic, saying that it will be a slow recovery but she is making big leaps in rehab and will be able to come back home in 6 months.

Me and my boy Mike (the guy who did the cliff jumping earlier in my blog) who is moving back to San Diego in Jan.

My New Years resolutions:

1. 2500+ hands a day. 6 days a week. MINIMUM! I don't see why this can't be done. Poker is my job now, and the time it takes to play 2500 (~3-4 hours) is like nothing.
2. Work out more. Going to lay off the surfing for Jan and Feb caz the water is pretty fuckin cold, but recently in replacement of that I've been going to swim work outs at UCSD 2-3 times a week. I'm going to try and make that atleast 4 times a week and make better use of my 24 Hour Fitness membership during the nights when I don't go out. I really feel like I play better / more poker when I'm active with my life.
3. Update my blog. This is just the begining bitches...
4. Stop tilting my roommates. Somehow I find ways to keep them on infinite amounts of tilt.
5. Get more New Years resolutions.

One last pic, finally got the bigger size pic from Blair's WSOP Bracelet win from the summer, here you go LP:

Random MMA thoughts (TL;DR)
   Daut, December 29

or many of you this is going to be a tl;dr (too long, didnt read). i dont care, read what you want, just gotta get all the random thoughts in my head out.....

-i liked how wandy looked at points during the fight. he still has that insane focus and drive to murder his opponent. he is a bit slower nowadays and his wildness doesnt work out as much anymore because of his decreased speed. this will hurt him in title contention fights but hes still a very exciting guy who people should love to watch and he could definitely put out good fights still, just not top 5 205 ones. i think a move to 185 could be fun, as well as some good fights vs some other 205s that arent rampage/shogun/rashad/machidaanderson if he moves up and a couple others

-rampage looked soooo nervous coming into the fight. im a huge huge wandy fan but coming into this fight i felt like rampage had every advantage. better technical boxer, better cage suited style, has improved, wandy has gotten slower, etc. but as they were doing their cage entrances, something looked really really off in quinton. he was scared to death of wandy, you could tell. in that walk my confidence in wandy was reborn and i was pretty sure wandy would finish off the threepeat and tko him. it took a minute or two but he calmed down, settled into his own and looked good.

this win will give rampage a huge amount of confidence and to me its clear that right now hes the best 205 on the planet (unless shogun comes back 100% and says otherwise). he says he wants to rematch forrest and i still think hes a huge favorite against forrest. he will KILL rashad. this isnt a "forrest has a better reach than rashad so he should be able to pepper and have an advantage", this is a "god poor rashad is going to die if he fights rampage". the only people who have what i think is a decent shot (>30% of winning) vs rampage are shogun (who at 100% is still a favorite) and machida (who gives anyone fits).

-ill take the first tangent and talk about how good rashad looked. hes so quick, so accurate with his punches and extremely composed. forrest was doing a really really good job round 2 but rashad never faltered, stayed really confident and eventually found a spot. now, as stated above i think rampage will obliterate him. but it appears as if his first title defense will be against machida. that should be a pretty fun to mma fans (but might be kinda boring to casual fans). rashad is real fast but doesnt have the reach machida does, and should have some problems hitting machida cause of lyoto's own speed. i suspect it will go to a decision and either machida will win because he peppered a lot more, or rashad will win because machida didnt pepper that much more and rashad controlled the octagon.

besides machida/rampage i think he matches up really well vs a lot of other guys in the division. extremely well vs jardine (who leaves his face open for rashads quick striking), well vs wandy (same thing as jardine), not THAT well vs chuck: lets face it, chuck is a passive outboxer with good reach, good takedown defense and really pinpoint striking. if chuck could come back 100% i think rashad vs chuck is a tossup. in either case though, rashad has earned his #2 spot in the 205 division and has most certainly earned his belt so congrats to him. of course he will be ranked #1, but we know the true #1 is rampage.

-machida is fighting thiago silva next. i dont have much faith in thiago silva's proclamations that he knows how to beat machida and i see machida winning a UD. then he will fight rashad and we get to see an interesting chess match that people will sadly boo. im really excited to see machida vs top competition. he matchs up really well vs wandy/chuck/all wrestlers/all bjj guys/most of the division. i do think machida can beat rampage because rampage still hasnt shown he is going to deal with leg kicks and machida wont get hit very often, but rampage can cut off angles and control the fight. i think machida can beat forrest, but again thats not an easy fight for him. same with shogun. same with rashad. only the fights happening will really tell us what will happen.

-i talked a lot about a 100% shogun in the previous paragraphs and yes its all speculation and praying, but i think shogun will come back very strong. if he doesnt, well, just delete his name from all those paragraphs and hes not who he used to be. if he does come back well.....he is a nightmare to fight against. really aggressive striker like wandy, but also has better wrestling, faster, is still young, and has better reach and slightly more technical punching. every fight fan should pray he comes back 100% because then it adds another element to the 205 division and will make things a lot of fun to watch. if he doesnt....lets just remember him for what he was and how much potential he had.

-i think forrest looked excellent the first two rounds. his lack of a spectacular area in fighting is really going to hurt him vs a lot of guys. hes kinda good in every area, but lacks the power, athleticism, speed, and doesnt have amazing wrestling or bjj so its going to be hard for him to beat really really tough guys. however, he is a smart guy who has learned to use his size/reach very well, will outwork anyone, and never gives up so he will continue to compete at a high level in this division for a long time.

-i think nog just looked awful. he looked old, slow, depressed, worn, everything that we knew would eventually happen but didnt think would happen when he was only 32. i hope (and dont hope cause its a morbid thought to want him to have depression so he has a brighter future than we think) that he had some depression or something going on mentally that prevented the old nog from coming out and fighting because he looked really really bad. it made me want to immediately drop him from the top 10 hws because it looks like he just cant cut it anymore, sometimes youre only as good as your last fight. it wasnt like wandy who was still ferocious and focused but a little slower, or chuck who got flash ko'ed by an extremely quick handed fighter in september, he just looked really bad. this is what made me the most sad of anything from ufc 92.

people get old, their bodies break down and they arent the same anymore. its a sad thing that happens in heavy contact sports and fighting sports. it was only a matter of time till the massive amounts of abuse took its toll and i hope this isnt the last we have to see of nog. thankfully a guy like fedor hasnt taken much punishment (because hes just that much better than everyone) and will continue to fight at an extremely high level for a long time to come, allowing us as fans to see some of the fights we've always wanted to see without having to wonder how it would have went 5 years back.

-mir looked really good. not "OMG HE WOULD DESTROY AA, BARNETT AND FEDOR", but very good. crisp boxing, decent kicks, obviously improved cardio, very relaxed and composed. i think hes definitely the #4 heavyweight in the world right now and should be a favorite on brock given his size, newfound cardio, good boxing, and his obvious submission advantage over brock. i think mir will give trouble to anyone in the ufc, and hes similar to a gonzaga right now, but a little better mentally and with much better cardio. will be fun to see how the ufc hw division unfolds with gonzaga/kongo hopefully starting to step up to a higher level so we can see some fun fights and matchups.

-i tried to rank the heavyweight division after saturday night and couldnt get past #4. it was so hard for me to rank. my top 4 is fedor, AA, barnett, frank mir. after that it became a blur. lesnar and sylvia have to be in the top 10 in my opinion, and preferably #5 and #6. after that, having to choose 4 fighters out of werdum, gonzaga, kongo, sergei, overeem, crocop, nog, randy, aleksander, and ben rothwell. (imo cain, carwin and junior are not ready). i guess ill just type rankings and not be a copout, but imo theres a top 6 then a pack of guys who are either over the hill, unknown potential, and solid fighters.

my top 20 in order: fedor, AA, barnett, mir, lesnar, sylvia, sergei, overeem, gonzaga, kongo, randy, ben rothwell, crocop, nog, werdum, aleks, junior, carwin, cain. for #20, bleh who even cares, gilbert yvel? i moved nog so low because of my above arguments about how it looked nog was done and not just a fluke fight. if i thought it was just an off fight id have put him #8 and waited to see how he turns out, but i just dont have any faith in his standup/reflexes/speed anymore.

-im really excited for k1 dynamite and you guys should be too. here are some of my breakdowns on fights (who gives a fuck what i think!):

aoki vs alvarez - really cool fight. at first thought eddie would handle aoki because of great striking, good sub defense, good wrestling, but seriously, i thought the same thing about jz vs aoki back in may. what makes this different? really hard to call but im gonna say eddie UD or TKO but would not be surprised if aoki subbed him, or got control of his back or something.

hansen vs JZ - i think JZ wins pretty easily, either by TKO or UD. hes stronger, great wrestling, great bjj, really good sub defense, i just dont see hansen having an edge here. i was surprised to see joachim is 5'10 because he always looked really small to me and i always thought he should fight at 145, but i guess he has a reach advantage? i dunno, i think JZ wins this. lets not forget he was widely considered a top 3 155 before the aoki fights, and his skillset is very diverse and hes great everywhere.

crocop vs hmc - wow, hmc is so indestrucible (only ko or tko was broken rib vs badr), and this is an mma fight. i dont know if crocop can ninja an armbar like fedor did but who knows, he seems pretty confident in his grappling skills; didnt he agree to a sub grappling fight in one of the dreams vs a gracie??? really weird fight, im going out on a limb and say crocop by armbar (hahahaha sick pun amiright)

badr hari vs overeem - k1 rules. sorry alistair, badr is the man. his combos are so incredibly fast and i dont think his chin is THAT bad. does anyone know if there is a weight limit to this? theyre both big guys, badr is about 6'5-6'6 225-230, overeem 6'5 235-240. i just see badr winning by tko or in a decision, hes just too good.

sakuraba vs kiyoshi - i honestly dont know lol. i dont know much about kiyoshi so ill avoid this one! my rant/thoughts, my dodge!

jerome lebanner vs mark hunt - weird fight as well. both have been fairly inactive lately. jerome has had knee problems. who knows how his knees will be this fight and if it needs to be stopped because of it. i assume jerome would win by UD if both were 100%.....but that seems impossible. mark hunt by either ko or ud.

and NOW its time for a small rant about this card. while k1 dynamite does have really great fights and cool matchups to see, it bothers me that the fights dont really mean anything. the only implication to anything on the card is that if alvarez wins he should auto win fighter of the year. besides that....if aoki wins what does it mean? he gets to fight another cool fight in a couple months? ok....if he loses? same shit. i really love that the ufc fights mean something in terms of stepping stones for title shots. everyone's goal is to win the belt and to get there they have to put together a series of wins. when people are fighting over in japan in 2 or 3 different promotions, its just a bunch of fun fights that fans want to see without much meaning besides overall ranking in the division and possible awards for fight of the year, fighter of the year, etc. how to fix this? i dont know. have dream get bigger and have fighters defend belts, have obvious depth charts with who gets next title shot etc.

hmm anything else i can rant about?

-diego at 155.....really excited to see diego vs sherk, diego vs kenny. i think sherk beats diego because of better standup, close ground games. diego vs kenny......kenny might just outfight him on the feet and keep it close enough on the ground to not lose. not easy fights for diego but definitely head asploding ones that icant wait to watch.

-my first thought after the thiago vs kos fight was that thiago matched up perfectly vs gsp and had a good chance to win. well im back to reality and i think gsp will set up his takedowns much better than kos did, and also will come up with a good gameplan to fight him. i still think thiago matches up well....just not as well as i originally thought. i say gsp -160 to win this.

before we get there though, gsp has to get through bj. gsp should win with good legkicks, avoiding boxing, using his wrestling smartly. obviously bj can win if he controls the ground, gains top position, is allowed to box for extended periods of time. really cool fight and should be a really really good one. but i would much rather see gsp win just because of the future matchups in each division (and possible moveups to 185 to fight anderson) are better if bj is at 155 and gsp is champ at 170.

-and finally the 185 division is a wreck. why is leites getting a shot over okami/maia? i understand okami is kinda boring but he beat anderson and has definitely earned his shot. he had a shot and had to pull out because of a hand injury give it to him again . anderson by murder over thales.

and why are rich/hendo fighting to be TUF9 coach for middleweights. rich moves up to 205, fights hendo at 205, then winner comes and coaches tuf and a 185 fight vs....bisping? can we please have maia tuf9 coach, that would be so much better.......

-TITO FIGHT IN AFFLICTION VS BABALU OR LITTLE NOG. TY

-and finally, some awards for the year, mostly stolen from mma live's categories

fight of the year: 1. carlos condit vs miura 2. hansen vs alvarez 3. torres vs maeda

fighter of the year: depends on k1 dynamite..... if alvarez wins hes #1. if alvarez loses, thiago alves is #1.

breakout star: gegard mousasi. nobody knew who he was last year. went 6-0 this year, won dream mw gp, and beat a sick striker and sick bjj guy in same night.

ko of the year: 1. rashad vs chuck 2. kos vs yoshida so many other great ones i cant pick after that

sub of the year: 1. palhares armbar vs salaverry 2. miguel torres vs chase beebe (torres was jockeying for a sub for like 2 or 3 minutes and there was some sick technical shit going on, highly recommend you go back and watch this) 3. asilva vs hendo honorable mention: dustin hazelett reverse armbar, nate diaz triangle, frank mir leglock brock, cb peruvian necktie, the aoki top position gogoplata was cool as well

upset of the year: forrest vs rampage was huge and also had great meaning. mir vs nog i was so sure nog would win but i dont know if it can be considered an upset with how bad nog looked. if i knew how each fighter would look in the fight i dont think this was an upset at all. and huge underdogs winning like junior dos santos, and the guy who beat gomi should also be considered. overall i give it to forrest for 2nd year in a row lol

TY

-and finally, some awards for the year, mostly stolen from mma live's categories

fight of the year: 1. carlos condit vs miura 2. hansen vs alvarez 3. torres vs maeda

fighter of the year: depends on k1 dynamite..... if alvarez wins hes #1. if alvarez loses, thiago alves is #1.

breakout star: gegard mousasi. nobody knew who he was last year. went 6-0 this year, won dream mw gp, and beat a sick striker and sick bjj guy in same night.

ko of the year: 1. rashad vs chuck 2. kos vs yoshida so many other great ones i cant pick after that

sub of the year: 1. palhares armbar vs salaverry 2. miguel torres vs chase beebe (torres was jockeying for a sub for like 2 or 3 minutes and there was some sick technical shit going on, highly recommend you go back and watch this) 3. asilva vs hendo honorable mention: dustin hazelett reverse armbar, nate diaz triangle, frank mir leglock brock, cb peruvian necktie, the aoki top position gogoplata was cool as well

upset of the year: forrest vs rampage was huge and also had great meaning. mir vs nog i was so sure nog would win but i dont know if it can be considered an upset with how bad nog looked. if i knew how each fighter would look in the fight i dont think this was an upset at all. and huge underdogs winning like junior dos santos, and the guy who beat gomi should also be considered. overall i give it to forrest for 2nd year in a row lol

zzzz bumhunters
   SakiSaki, December 13

I feel like I have been ranting about this enough but fuck, Im so irritated. I have played alot of stars lately but today I figured id hit the HU tables on ipoker for the euro peak hours. Now, ipoker has a limited amount of heads up tables, its not like stars where another one pops up just as one gets taken. As I scout for action theres 20+(!) 2/4 hu tables with one reg on each, and NONE of them will play me. Now I havent been really active on ipoker HU as of late so I am not well known, and I dont think any of these guys really know if I am a big winner or a complete retard. Just the fact that a buy in for full makes then sit out and say "no ty"

FUCK YOU! First of all, these guys are fucking pathetic. Bumhunting on 2/4 is like boxing 4 weightclasses below you. You will bash on the little competition you get, but you will never improve and you will stay a bumhunting 2/4 pathetic fuckface asswhipe reg cunt for the rest of your life. Id rather work at IKEA than bumhunt like these guys. Second of all, these guys are really bad for the games. Lets say you are a drunk recreational player wanting to play some poker on saturday night, you look at the tables and theres 20 of them with players who wont play eachother. Even if you are retarded and drunk out of your mind you will realize something is up.

Being put on sick lifetilt after not getting any action I decided to be the 2/4 HU terrorist for a couple of hours. I sat at ALL of the bumhunting regs tables. At most I think i was on 12 HU tables and all the fags sat out on me. A couple of them even started arguing with me, like they have any fucking standing in this. The way I see it, if you want to be a little cuntfaced cockbag bumhunter fuckhead and only play drunk shortstacks, fine. Bless your soul. But if you chose to do this, there is a price to pay aswell. If you encounter someone who isnt drunk and/or retarded, leave the fucking table. Thats the price of taking gameselection to a retarded new level. Dont stay at the table and start whining, just FUCKING FUCK OFF YOU PIECE OF SHIT GOOD FOR NOTHING SCUMFACE. Gameselect all you want you little faggots but remember that theres a limited amount of tables available and I, who will play anyone, have the privelige of taking your table if you dont see me as a fit candidate to play against.

The most suprising thing of all was that none of these bumhunters seemed to understand my point. They all acted like I was a retarded moron who blocked their tables when in reality they are the ones blocking mine. I was called "imature", "acne faced nerd", "retard" and one guy even asked for my adress so he could come and beat me up. lol.

Anyways, the whole thing is getting pretty ridicilous, and eventhough I kinda enjoyed being the kinga of 2/4 hu, its not really worth it having to fuck with regs for 40 min everytime I want action. If there 6-max games wherent so juicy I would just cash out my roll from ipoker and move to ftp.

Rant over. gg imo

I was on the 2+2 Pokercast!!! + New Car
   Joeingram1, December 11

Hey all, i was on the 2+2 Pokercast the other day as the second guest after some old 7 card stud pro Danny Robison

You can check it out here.

http://pokercast.twoplustwo.com/index_plus.php

My interview starts around the 1 Hour 33 Minute Mark of the podcast, although they do call me a nutjob towards the beginning of it lol.

I haven't played any poker in the past like week. Just been getting things set up to move into my new apartment. I ended up getting a new car 2 days ago. I probably spent to much but I still have good bankroll + I am staked for my regular limits + I always wanted a nice car so I was like fuck it and decided to get one. I ended up buying a 2004 Mercedes C230 Kompressor Sport. They were surprised that I walked in with like 20k in 100s to buy a car but luckily I didn't spend anything close to that. I haven't had a car in like 2 years but before that I was driving Ford Tempos or Dodge Neons so this is a solid step up. Hopefully I do well in the upcoming few months so I can ship the M3 for summer lol.

603k Hands in November, Prop Bet WoN! 25k Month!!!
   Joeingram1, December 08

Sorry for the delayed update on my blog and my 600k hand prop bet. A few people were asking me to let them know how things ended up. I wrote this a few days ago but my computer had to restart and I lost like 7 paragraphs I wrote on here, then I took a went back home for a few days.

I did complete and win my prop bet!! I ended up playing 24 hours straight and a 37k hand session and ended at 603k Total Hands Last month.

This is my toal graph, it is missing some hands but I started being staked for 100nl about a week into the prop bet so I actually ended up about 1.5k more of my own money as I was down a throughout the month at 100nl when I was playing on the stake.

Here are some totals for last month

VPP- 169,323
Hours Played-359 (89 hrs a week)
FPP Profit- 14.5k
Profit Playing 4.5k
Prop Bet Profit- 6.1k
Total Profit- 25.1k

I am having an article in the paper here in Chicago written about Me and the prop bet+uiega, an interview on a poker website that I should be doing this week and I just got a PM about doing like a 10 minute interview tonight for the 2+2 Pokercast with Mike Johnson & Adam Schwartz which is crazy since I listen to that every week it comes out lol.

(edited this in) Some people were saying how I had an awful winrate playing throughout the month which is true I did but before last i was playing really LAG game and I had to basically tighten it up completley because I realized I couldnt do it all day every day, all month. So the first week I played normal and made a ton, then the last 3 I was watching movies/tv/internet while I was playing which killed my winrate. This month I have been able to get back to my old game and am doing really well and have a good winrate going so far.

Why did I do it? Some people were saying how I must have not have any friends/family/life anything like that. But last month I was still talking to my friends on the phone everyday, and got to see my gf a few times and family on thanksgiving while maintaining 12-13 hours a day 24 tabling. They all understood what I was doing and were pretty excited of the chance that I would be able to make that much money playing a game online. I basically chose to do it not really having any idea how hard it would be but was extremely motivated by the prospect of making 20k+. My biggest month before last was about 4k and my bankroll at the time I started last month was around 6k total so the chance that I could set myself up for a long time and make a crazy amount of money was really the motivation I needed to get it done. It is really still a surreal feeling that I made that much money in a month and honestly never thought I would be able to from playing poker/working in my life.

Some people were asking me what I played before the bet? I started playing 25nl online in June of this year, just like many other people out there I was dreaming that one day I could make 5k-10k in one month eventually from playing poker. I didn't actually think it was possible but I still worked on my game with aspirations of moving up. In late september/october I was a 50nl reg and I think i made about 4k in September because of a successful 100nl shot at the end of month and then this bet was formed and at about 11 PM the night before November 1st I decided to do it.

The original bet was 4 of us in the Micro Stakes Forum (on 2+2) on who could play the most hands but then I tried to get action at 2.8-1 odds that I could play 600k hands and was able to and then it began. I pretty much played 12-13 hours a day, 30 days straight last month, slept horrible, ate awful, but was able to get it done.

Was it worth it? I realize that I basically sacrificed a month of my life, sacrificed my realtionship with my gf (which now is over but there are always more cute girls out ther), set my phsycal condition back awhile (i worked out everyday forever before last month) but overall knowing that I can live comfortable for awhile, move out of my crappy apartment and finally have a nice place on my own and get myself a nice car on my own for the first time ever defintly made it all worth it.

Whats next? This month so far I've been 24 tabling 1/2 and playing some 400nl-600nl when good games start up and its going pretty well so far. Im still being staked for 100nl, 200nl so it is very good to know that I cant actually lose any of my bankroll unless I lose money playing higher limits lol. I signed a lease for a new apartment back in Northwest Indiana and wont be living downtown in Chicago anymore which is sad in some ways since Im right by the lake and beach but am excited to move back home where all my old friends/parents live and I will finally be able to not walk everywhere again. Im going car shopping next week too so will keep the blog updated on what I spend the winnings on plus how my progress is going in moving up limits.

Some parts of this post arent in order but I had it written well before and then deleted so I am pretty sure I covered everything in here. Thanks to all who read my blog throughout the bet and for the positive comments, defintly kept me motivated to succeed and I appreciate everyone reading. If anyone has any questions or comments you can pm me or post them here!! Next step is Supernova Elite Pursuit next year!!! Should be fun

i sharted!!!
   Daut, November 30

I didnt want to put this in blogs because it disappears after 5 entries get put up but i guess ill just move it to general after it disappears. the title of the entry explains a lot.

so its my moms birthday and my dad, my mom and i went to a thai restaurant about 30 minutes away. the food was pretty good, we had some good soups, appetizers and my drunken noodles main was tasty.

anyway we're wrapping the meal up and i feel some gas coming along. anyone who knows me pretty well knows just how much i love to fart. GOD I LOVE FARTING. theres just nothing better. so i rip one or two and they leave a delicious aroma around our table. i think my parents smell it but they havent made any comments yet. so i go to let another one out but its more than just air.

i felt the liquid poop hit my boxers and my eyes hit the back of my head, i gulped really hard and excused myself to the bathroom. as i was waddling towards the mens room all i could think about was not getting any buttsauce on my $90 lucky jeans.

i get in there and theres a tiny little mess on my favorite pair of boxers. i remove my shoes, then my jeans and underwear and drop them in the trash. it was one of those single toilet mens rooms where you have the whole bathroom to yourself so i was ok to walk around stark naked from the waist down and not get any stares from neighboring bathroom attendees. i finished the poop, cleaned up and walked out of there with a new airy breeze reaching my privates.

this was only the second time ive ever sharted. the first was about 9 years ago, i was 15 and playing starcraft and back then all i lost was a ladder game. this shitting experience was a lot like playing starcraft. basically i was protoss, my poop was zerg, i early expo'ed, the waste 9 pool+fast speed upg for lings and ran his lings by my photons. this is the last mother fucking time ill ever let those goddamn lings past my choke/anus.

im sad to part with my favorite boxers, but i guess they are a small price to pay for the enjoyment of the poo. its also sad that from now on i will fear farting without the aftermath of a volcanic eruption in my pants.

563k hands this month, The end is near.........
   Joeingram1, November 29

Yes have a life for the people that will just read this one blog and assume I do not have a life/friends/ne thing else in the world lol. You can read some of the other blog posts that have pics of me/gf and where i talk about my prop bet.

Such a sick awful last like 2 days, finally ran decent and went up 2.4k in 2 days then next 2 days lose 3k by just winning every single pot and getting it in with the nuts and never holding, most frustrating thing ever and I wanted to quit playing so many times but couldnt do so. My game has suffered this month but I think next month it wont be to hard to get it back to my old lag self rather then playing like a nit. Going to sleep now to wake up at 8 am and finish this thing, not going to sleep until I do it.

[/IMG]

At 563k total hands and have cleared 14.5k in fpp bonuses so far. Have 161,222 VPP for the month. My HEM is missing lk 6.8k hands but here is the graph, obv the last few 100k hands have sucked for me . Almost over though.

539k Hands this month, Almost to 600k!!!!
   Joeingram1, November 28

Been a few days since I updated the blog but things have been going along well. Had a pretty good past couple days and up a few K.

This was my session from the other night where I got ahead of pace and made a good amount along the way, i had to quit at the end though because I took 2 sick beats and lost like 350 and was sad because i was almost up 2k.

Decided to go back home to my parents house in the who live in the suburbs of Chicago so played like 16k session yesterday on my laptop and hated it, so small to look at lol. I love the setup at my apartment so so much more. But I did clear another 4k fpp bonus yesterday and am about 6k vpp away from getting my 3k milestone. Will hopefully clear a 1.5k fpp bonuses too before the end of the month so I can include it in the monthly profit.

I ended last night at 539k Total hands and was planning on waking up today early to get started again and play a marathon session so I can finish up tomorrow a day early. Im very excited for this month to be over so I can fix my game again and get back to the style I have been playing previously, rather then my tight style I have now adapted to playing. Has affected my win rate a ton and hopefully I can get it back up in the upcoming months. Going to go get to work and try to win this!!!!

Here is the graph, missing 6.5k hands, this was from 2 days ago so dont have yesterdays session in it.

6-max adventure

Today 8-tabled 6-max on pokerstars for like the first time ever. It was a very unpleasant experience and I donated alot of money. I ran pretty awful though I think but I definitely spew preflop in alot of spots cause I am a retarded HU player. I keep thinking ppl are cold 4-betting me with air so I ship like A9 and get owned by AK every single time

I have noticed a couple of things about these games though and also come to some realisations of why 6-max anoy me so much. My first point is, most of these regs have very little clue about how to play postflop. The games are very agressive preflop with 3-betting and squeezing all over the place, which 100bbs deep pretty much means that the only streets where there is play is preflop and on the flop. By the turn you usually have half your stack in and all of a sudden you are a donkament player pushing or folding. Its soooo tilting, I try my best to keep the pot small and play some pots in position but flatting raises in the co or btn often result in a squeeze from the blinds/btn.

Its so constraining I actually feel like I am playing a donkament or on a table full of shorties. So much is about preflop/flop equity and so little is about outsmarting or outplaying your opponent.

Now I didnt game select at all pretty much cause I dont know any of the regs and this was just one session so maybe I just ended up on tables full off aggrotard regs but god do these guys remind me of me 1 year ago. Fuck you cardrunners, you have turned 6-max games into sit n gos.

Im not saying that these games arnt profitable because they definitely are. Theres still plenty of fish and most of the regs are like I said pretty clueless about postflop play. + some of them play even more retarded than me preflop and thats saying alot. Im pretty sure that playing something like 25/21 like I did this sesh is far from optimal in this day and age. Playing a controlled 18/16 TAG style and trapping squeezers alot with big hands and playing a in general smart and controlled tight style is probably going to rake in the big bucks.

One thing is for sure, stars need to add 200bb tables or I will have to move to ftp if I plan on playing more 6-max.

Oh and I have a question aswell. Why doesnt the HEM graphs have a line for won/lost in all in spots? All I can see now in my graph is total winnings and all in ev graph, but how does that tell me how bad I am running? Like, for today both hu and 6-max my all in ev is at -$800 and my total winnings is at -$4000 but could just aswell mean that I lost 800 in all in situations and that i spewed of 3200 making dumb bluffs and calldowns in non all in pots yes?

Keep it real boys and girl

Another 24k hand session, down a ton, 442k Hands
   Joeingram1, November 23

8 more days of this and then it is over, I cannot wait. Slept like 5 hours and now up and ready to grind another 20k+ hand session out. I dont even know when I eat food anymore, I never seem to be hungry and the only thing I eat is like chips/candy or Mcdonalds, I need to get this back on track next month and get some sort of normalcy again. But it keeps me super motivated seeing all the positive comments on here and on 2+2 from other people, hopefully I really can influence some others out there to grind some more and make more money for themselves also!!

Some people asked me on here and 2+2 like what was my poker story and basically I started playing online in June at 25nl 9 tabling. I played live poker before that so didnt have a job at the time and was making just playing 25nl and learning the game. At the end of june I started 24 tabling one day when I found out you could play that many and grinded 25nl till like August when I built up my 100 deposit to like 2k before after a bunch of cashouts to pay for things and i took a 50nl shot. I had my ups and downs along the way but always beat 25nl for a really good winrate along the way. I played being a 50nl reg at the beginning of September and into October with a few 100nl shots in the mix throughout all this but never could get my online roll past like 3.2k.

Finally in October I put in a 17k hand session at nl100 one day and made like 1.1k and that boosted my roll to like 5k. At the end of September I got a stake to play 100nl/200nl so did that and made me and my staker 2k before we decided to do this prop bet in the forums, which I wasnt even going to do until the last second I changed my mind and probably my life and decided to. I remember playing 25nl like 3 months ago wondering if poker was for me and if you could actually make this money that you see other people making in the forums and was dreaming that one day I could have more then 5k to my name. Now here I am with 17k on stars, clearing another 4k bonus, about to hit a 2k milestone, and will win about 8.3k in the prop bet and it is a very surreal feeling.

Someone asked what I will make in fpps/prop bet this month by itself and I will have 2 $4k fpp bonuses, a $2k and $3k milestone and 2 $1.5k bonuses. From both prop bets if I win them I will get back about 8.3k, I put up about 2k of it thats in escrow so will make like 6.3k from that. Thats about 22k from that I stand to make.

Also I was asked what my goals are for next month and really am not sure as to pertaining to poker, I am moving into a new place at the beginning of the month so I can get out of this room I have been in lol but I've never had more like 2k on me ever in my life so I defintly am going to go on a shopping spree and buy myself alot of nice things. Probably going to get a car also as I havent had one for the last 2 years living in the city in Chicago. I'll probably grind nl100 next month and make a few thousand from that and clear a 4k milestone along the way.

Basically just take it easy as I prepare to go for Supernova Elite starting in January. I am setting my goal to become the first player on Pokerstars to achieve this next year but there are some high stakes sickos who play a ton so it will be a tough challenge, but one I think i can accomplish. How sick would it be to be the first person to achieve this of everyone that plays on stars.

If anyone has any questions or anything they want to know just ask in the comments and i will answer them.

Here is my day yesterday though, i was down like 1.8k at one point but managed to only end the 24k hand session down 1.1k lol go me. Just running super bad and almost chased losses but finally had to stop and pass out. I really wanted to keep playing but couldnt keep my eyes open anymore.

At the month I am at 442k hands, 2k ahead of the pace and feel great about making it now and hopefully will make it a few days early.

As to the hands from the last 2 days I guess these 2 would some up my days well. Its just frustrating grinding for hours and having this happen consistently.

24k hand nl100 session, up a dolla lol, 418k hands
   Joeingram1, November 22

Just got done with my session, played 24k hands at nl100 and end up a mother fuckin dolla lol, plus like 7.5k vpp. I ran really really bad when i was focused but the last like 8k hands i was sleeping. I did have a point where i was up 500 then was down 1.35k next thing I knew but grinded my way back to even.

At 418k total hands, only 2k off pace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will post some interesting hands 2morrow but im about to pass out.

I just realized i still have to play 108 hours more this month, jesus fucking christ lol idk what I was thinking doing this but I guess the money will be totally worth it as the most I have ever made before was like 4k-5k in a month, 25k+ will just be surreal considering i was a 25nl grinder like 2-3 months ago. 108 hours 10 more days!

Running good
   SakiSaki, November 21

Well, in poker I am doing soso and not putting in all that many hands, I just feel unmotivated and bored with it and I try to avoid playing when I feel that way. But in life I am running pretty good at the moment.

I never considered being a full time poker player all that long. It is something I definitely want to experience but I have always had my mind set on educating myself sooner or later. The past few years I have on and off been thinking of going to medschool. Medicine facinates me alot and I think it would suit me perfectly. Unfortunately it is really hard to get in since you pretty much need perfect grades from high school(which I definitely dont have durr) or you can score a top score on the swedish "högskoleprovet" which I guess is the equivalent of the american SAT.

Yesterday I recive the results for högskoleprovet which I did like a month ago and I binked it at 1.9, 2.0 being the top score so I was very close at acing it. Now this morning I read in the paper that getting into medschool has become alot easier on several schools in sweden and that you now proably only need 1.8 or 1.9 where you used to need 2.0

I am very happy right now, I will apply to a couple of schools next semester so if all goes well I will start school again next fall. This would be pretty great, I think just playing poker without a plan has been wearing down on me as I feel pretty useless, but now I have a goal set and I can spend the following year just getting as good as i possibly can at poker and bank as many dollars as possible.

Ship my life ogoggoo
