Things are going good at 50nl so far. Also been playing more of the 11$ 180 man turbo sngs. Bubbled cashing in one today due to a really bad timed steal push into a big hand. Had some bad beats in cash today but I pulled out a nice +2 buyin day.
Selling a beautiful 4 month old Acer 24" 1920x1200 monitor to anyone here that wants it for $200 not including shipping costs. I will offer it here for 2 days or so before going to craigslist or Ebay and probably charging more. Will accept payments on Stars.
PM me w/ msn or w/e if interested. It's really a great lookin monitor, nothings wrong with it tho it does have a dead pixel but you don't notice it unless u hunt for it or have a pure black background.
I think overall I was playing pretty well, although bluffing stations a tad too much for my liking as well.
Currently struggling dealing with stations when I miss. OOP if I dont cbet they bet and I obv have to fold. IP if I dont cbet they lead into me on turn and I fold. Mmmmm, probably need to tighten up and play more broadway type hands and call down for value more often? Stop opening / isolating with tons of junky small sc type hands? See flop for cheap then build pot when I hit? Guess I'll keep experimenting.
I also suck when someone limps, folds to me in the bb, I have air and check, they take down pot on flop. Not sure if I should just let them have it, or whether I should be bluffin'... but honestly this isn't as big a deal to me as the station problem. I'm not even sure how I suck so hard vs 90/10's and 60/20's.
Anyways, here's the graph. Played from 4:30 am to 10am'ish with a break in between, then brain crashed and I slept from 11am -7pm then started watching SC with a friend so couldn't get an evening session in but w/e. Hopefully I'll wake up early again and get 4-5 hours in before noon tomorrow.
Im a microstakes grinder who makes not very many FPP points on starts. Is it better for me to have an account on ftp if I can get rake back? I dont play any higher then $.10/$.25 atm.
Ive signed up with another site then VCpoker now. Same network though (iPoker).
My new "home" is cardozapoker and I got bumped up to 5/6 VIP levels and got a 27% rakeback deal.
Much better deal then I had before. Will be much more profitable to just massplay like a crazyass now with rakeback
Watched the latest poker after dark episode today with taylor/raptor and cole south from cardrunners vs gabe/doyle and eli elezra. Pretty nice episode.
Will be e nice series I think =) I think its great that they've started to invite more online pros to those types of programs lately, much nicer to watch then
donking phil helmuth whining of some1 sucking out vs him with a flushdraw when he minbets and give them superodds.. ^^
and within one month amongst numerous other things he has...
*made a 30 thousand increase of troops in Afghanistan
*created almost 1 trillion dollars (u do realize that's 1 trillion more dollars out of thin air and more into the negative right)
*added an additional 17 thousand troops to Afghanistan to the first 30 thousand

A good start for any actually wanting to get a clue or education about what is really going on financially... This was 21 years ago and you will hardly if ever see stuff like this on mainstream tv nowadays.
If you take the time to listen and learn what this man is saying...you could learn a lot and hopefully get on the right side of the tracks before the train comes and the middle class is completely gone
This is the ONLY politician I see or hear that I trust and and the only one being honest with himself while actually giving thought to THE PEOPLE besides himself/family/corporations.
That first video was his predictions in 1988, and since he was right, I've found you guys a more recent and much shorter video so you can know what to expect.
This was Feb 2009
The future is in your hands
I can't say it enough times, security and freedom is not the same thing
Or at least... almost. Nice change of pace to use this blog for something else than whining about pokerbeats for once.
I am leaving this friday and I am super psyched about it. Some people on the forums seem fortunate enough to live in/nearby the mountains but I actually need to make a vacation out of it (ergo, I am not that good at snowboarding, only doing it one week a year...) since the nearest mountains are around a 6 hour drive. Going to Austria (somewhere in the middle of the Tirol providence) and we took a pretty high ground village this year since last year we had pretty sucky snow at a village that was on the foot of some smaller mountain chain in the Alps. Weather forcast is saying that it's snowing like mad in the area so won't be awesome weather to board but whatever, I guess it's way better than having shitty/no snow and good weather. Maybe it will clear up even and we'll have solid powder and a nice sun, that'd be sick awesome.
Just got myself a new board (at least, it's new for me, been used for two weeks) and I really want to try it out. It's currently in the shop to get it's edges sharpened and a waxjob. It's a Rossignol Scope from 2006 with Rossignol Unit bindings. Nothing too much state of the art but I got it for an extremely cheap price (thinking price/quality ratio, didn't get it for 25E obviously) so I am cool with it. I am buying a brand-new board next season anyway if I get the money. I guess I got to grind a little more but I'll get back to that after the trip. Should probably make a grinding schedule for March after I come back and grind more since I am back in the groove but just not making nearly enough hours. Especially since I dropped out of school (going to enroll in a new college in September, the other one sucks ass and got worse by the year, classes dropping out, education wasn't worth shit) so I want to make use of the months I have and grind my ass off but I am too lazy... Should really grind up a roll so I can grind somewhat regularly for solid money when I am back in school so I won't have to take up some crappy job for beer money and shit. Besides, I also just want to prove myself to everyone that I am smart enough to make it somewhere in this world.
Anyways, that's about it, not much to say pre-trip. If enough people are interested I'll make a solid trip report after I come back. Let me know if you'd guys like that because that'd mean it'd have to be extra alert on taking some pictures back on the slopes and everything. http://www.liquidpoker.net/userpoll/draw.php?poll_id=780
Poll: Trip report?
(Vote): Hell yeah, bring back some solid stories !!!
(Vote): Like I want to see your ugly face on these forums...
For everyone else going snowboarding this weekend or whatever (hello Jason) have fun and shoot some pics.
Went to a casino for the first time ever.
The games are just as bad as people say- I didn't even bother bluffing, I just went pot pot shove after raising TT+ AQo+ pre. There was like 6 to the flop on average, and there were never any preflop takedowns.
+$180 for $1/$2 NLHE. It's a nice confidence boost after getting shitkicked at NL25.
Yay useless blog.
EDIT: I left the house for two days, and my roommate decided to tape paper over my Harrington on Holdem books. They now read "Humberto! on holdem" and Harrington's eyes are taped over so they're all googly and such lolololol my roommate doesn't even play poker- he just watches it with me sometimes.
Wow, this is my first poker blog in quite a while.
So, in my last post, I said I was going to start off at 25 NL to get back on the wagon. Considering I was playing consistently at 50 NL when my hiatus began, I thought that 25 NL would be no prob. Well, when it finally came to me logging back in, and opening tables, I got a little cold feet, and thought that it might be a better idea to get the ball back rolling again at 10 NL (groan). Once (if) I make $100 at 10 NL, then I'll move up to 25 NL.
I mean, if I can't beat 10 NL, I probably shouldn't be moving up, right...?
When I last played, I was 9-tabling 50 NL. I opened up 6 tables of 10 NL, and was completely overwhelmed - how the F did I ever do 9?! I figure it'll take a bit of getting used to again I suppose, so I'm starting with 4 and gonna move from there.
I was a pretty constant 13/10 nit when I was 9-tabling, and - as expected - my game opened up a bit going down to 4 tables.
Although today went shittily (sp?), it felt really good to be playing again.
Also, if any friendly people out there are down to swap a sweat session, let me know!

How often do we fold the flop here. At 50 NL, I'd probably fold the majority of the time tbh.

Very disappointed with myself here. Not quite sure what I was thinking on the turn. My flop raise got me in the perfect spot for a free turn, and I fucked it up.

Comments needed on this one. drawflush1 was being very active at the table. Do you call a bet if he pushes? If I bet $3.90, and get raised AI, do you call? C/F the best play? Ty
