Been reading this thread about a guy with social awkwardness, he's basically the bodybuilding equivalent of floofy. There's vids of him being really random around girls, it's pretty funny.
Random stuff about my life recently: I've been going on runs recently, I think it's good to do regular exercise. Helps you sleep and maintain focus in other aspects of life eg. poker.
Speaking of poker, I've started playing again after a long hiatus. I've been 12 tabling 25nl 6max, after 30k hands I'm running @ 4.5ptbb/100. And honestly I don't think I've been running hot, if anything I may be running slightly below expectation. I should move up to 50nl, I'm definitely rolled for it, but I feel like I should grind out another 30k hands at 25nl considering I feel so comfortable, and to see whether I can maintain a 4-5ptbb/100 winrate.
I need some help figuring out how to do something with HEM. I want to filter by actions, which I figured out how to do (like only hands where there was a checkraise on the flop). But I only know how to filter it for me, and what I want to do is get HEM to give me all hands of my villains. Not sure how to do that.
So to try and be more clear, I want HEM to show me all hands in my DB where a villain took a certain line, like Open Raise preflop, cbet flop and check raise turn. I can get HEM to tell me all the hands where I took that line, but not sure how to get it to give me hands when villains took that line.
Just checked the tracker, and I've played 45hours so far this month, still feel I've barely played anything, maybe I'll reach my goal of 80 hours xD (weee)
With the training, I did good first days, but I'm struggling hard with my illness thingy. Fruktosemalabsorpsjon thingy.
But yesterday I got a 2 hour session with this super food nutrition doctor expert, and it was priceless to me, found out so much lol.
Found out that what I have will make people tired, and a word I couldn't find translation for in English. But if I had to try and explain it, it makes me extra lazy, fatigued, not taking initative, not being active, something along those lines.
What it is is, im allergic to sugar, half of the molekyle atleast, fructose, and if I get any, I can't go to the toilet, and my stomach gets painful and hard, and the longer it goes on, the more tired I get, the more I sleep, and the more fucked up everything gets.
But made me feel really good, to hear from the doctor that It's a serious condition, and I'm not THAT lazy after all xD
weee
Seen 4 poker vods or so, gotten to page 10 in one poker book, and page 30 in one, so some catching up to do there as well.
IN EUROPE.LOOKING for Friends for amsterdam.by VeGeTTa89, December 19
I am IN EUROPE. Landed last week from the states. Currently in Frankfurt Germany. I am planning a trip to Amsterdam for new years and i was wondering if there was anyone here in a close by country/city who would like to come. Hit me up at my PMS. I will be checking them regularly and shit. It should be a blast, just trying to find enough people willing to maybe split gas or a hostel or some shit like that. Plus we dont know many people here in germany so it'd be nice to get a group thing going. Amsterdam should be insane on new years. hit me up plzz...

Anyways, just went on christmas vacation from work, and im off til the 11th, I'll probably work throughout the holidays on some stuff. Going to Munich on monday to celebrate x-mas for a week. Gonna come back and grind my nuts off, so please let me run good poker gods..!
Besides today, I've run really good this week. The way I this week went I would basically go breakeven for a while and then I would get a rush of hands where I'd take a few stacks and then I'd just quit. It obviously feels nice to end a session up, but I think that if I want to get to real stakes any time soon I'm going to need to stop quitting when I get up a bit and just put in some more hours. I feel that I'm ready to move up to NL5 but I'm just going to stay disciplined and wait until I've hit a $100 BR. 77.7% there, that must be lucky right?
Things I need to work on:
- Identifying better players and learning how to play against them
- Putting more thought into what flops not to cbet (I basically cbet any flop that's not 4way or more)
- Putting in more time (Any advice on what a decent amount of hands per day is at 8 FR tables?)
This is an unusual hand I played today. Normally against this kind of action I would fold but him leading into me after checking to me on two streets didn't really make much sense to me. Would it have been better to check back on the turn to pot control? The villain was a complete unknown who just sat down a few hands ago. + Show Spoiler +

Well the year didn't go quite as planned due to a few things i mentionned in earlier blog post... but I'm still happy with my results, I think I've done somewhat fine...
I don't have any graph for you guys cuz I don't track my hands and I play several sites... I'm just way too lazy to open PT everytime and learn to track hands on a few software I never bothered trying... so yeah I still keep in mind my results every month...
Extra: -$16 000 (deposited money on stryyke poker, ongame network at that time, seems to be cake now, never paid me, they seem to be busto)
December is not done yet so I might make an extra 10 or 20k but I won't play as much as usual due to christmas, going out to see family a lot etc.
Let's hope I manage to make 1mill in 2010, and anyone who's coming to PCA, see you there!
Here are a bunch of pictures of my house as promised, bathroom upstairs isn't totally done yet but you have a decent idea of how it's going to look like...
whats the point of me even playing poker anymore... i cashed out most of my roll at the start of the month, mainly so i can 1) buy presents and 2) reevaluate my game.
but when i run 10-20 BIs below EV every week, is there even a point to me playing anymore? i am fucking cursed, it's unreal how bad i run...even at micros where people throw money at me...

i fucking hate whine posts but i can't fucking move up because this type of shit hand happens at least 4 or 5x a session.
Thats right, after discussion with my coach I have decided to take a 5 BI shot at NL100. http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/580c9.KEKE.png
I think the main reason for me is that my in game skills are good enough to do so, but I also plan to keep my Supernova while having a full time job, and that would be damn hard playing only NL50.
I have abandoned my plan to move up at $4k and take a 10BI shot, but I will instead be taking aggressive 5BI shots and go back to NL50 at $3k.
At the beginning I played really badly/nitty/spewy for no reason. I also spewed about 6BI in those 2.5K hands because I overestimated the regs really badly. They seem to be the same not enough adjusting regs like those at NL50, they just spew a lot less.
So I guess its my usual NL50 routine - brutal table selection, lag preflop + nitty postflop against the regs, and exploiting the fish with whatever I have in my arsenal thats suitable.
And as I don't think I will be able to keep this up at more than 4 tables, I might also do some 6-8 tabling at NL50.
Long term goal
Still stands -hit $10k to go pro next summer to pay my way through last year of university (My dad will chip in roughly for my rent and I will start saving some cash from my Salary. Beginning January lol.)
If I maintain my SN I will hit that goal just by being a FPPro. Hope that it won't have to come to this though.
PS 100nl regs, meet your enemies !by the cleaner, December 18

If you are not already aware iPoker will be implementing a new policy in the New Year which will categorise players depending upon certain criteria. The new policy will also impose penalties upon card rooms that in essence, have a high proportion of winning players in relation to losing players.
Regrettably therefore, we are being forced to restrict a number of accounts in order to comply with the new policy and to avoid penalisation by iPoker and it grieves me to inform you that we have no option for the time being other than to restrict the cash game stakes at which you can play on Victor Chandler Poker.
We sincerely regret having to take this action and hope that the policy will change in the future so that you may once again enjoy playing cash games at Victor Chandler Poker. In the meantime, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience that this action will cause but know that you can still play in our tournaments and on any other of the Victor Chandler suite of products.
Yours sincerely,
Victor Chandler Poker"
i guess i knew this was coming
prob wont be able to play until after new years then
