On the other hand, My aces managed to win a lot of huge pots. They just got cracked once, but won like 4-5bigs pots

KK vs AJ

AA vs QQ vs 63(lol)
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/195659
AA vs QJ vs AK

And the very first hand of my 3rd session: J6 vs J8 in a unraised pot lol :D

Im very tired now but I'll go to bed happy cause I made a huge improvement to my bankroll after that horrible downswing I had a couple of weeks ago. :D

Starting over. by albonycee, May 18

After getting most of my roll frozen in neteller and blowing most of whatever i had left playing extremely underrolled, i decided to give online poker another serious try. So i consolidated most of my remaining roll, ~1k, on Full Tilt and for the last week or so ive been 4 tableing 50NL 6Max. As soon as i get a chance i wanna get another one of these Samsung monitors from stars.

Anyways here is the graph of May so far.

http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r262/albonycee/Maygraph.jpg

I know i dont play enough, but its tough for me to concentrate after the first 1k hands in a session. I usually start to watch Tv or browse forums and whatnot.

And finally i leave u this:
WARNING: MASTURBATION MATERIAL !!!

ridin dirty by Sheitan, May 18

Finally made it ! I feel so happy due to a very nice session today. Got off work sooner cuz it was very quiet and slept for like 1H30, When i woke up i destroyed the low stakes. Hum, not destroying like you do guys but in my mind i was DA machine. Caught many fishes bluffing for almost a BI and bust them on river with like second pair and them having nothing.

So i break even from now, with the winning in that donkament and being dealt in a milestone hand im up 205 bucks in 3 days, wich means 20 BIs wich is really nice for me. I really enjoy playing poker and i don't even tilt anymore when my aces or kings get cracked by POKERACEDUDELOL All In PF him holding 72o. In fact i realized i don't give a shit, i realized if i would give a shit then my game will be affected and i'll make more mistakes, so LET IT BE.

Here is a graph of the last 3 days:

http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/2765/breakevenfh3.jpg

And i got my biggest pot to date with a rivered full house, wich is the first time it happens to me, im used to get rivered but not river people WTF.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/195577 - I like teh river weeeee!

Anyway i think im gonna play much more poker than expected as i really enjoy playing the game right now. Take it ez LPers.

Soyeah, i've been able to play more hands now, which i wanted to do. My next goal #2 is going to be playing about 21-24K hands per week so thats about 3-4k hands per day. Going to play a little smarter these next 7 days. Also going to get my win rate up a little,
from 2.9 since i was getting this week. Any who, i'll post my results in 7 days from now, keep you guys up to date how im doing. I'll also post some ahnds i found interesting and put my input of what i thought. =)

Why is my variance so mad? by Critterer, May 18

I seem to go on huge heaters, and huge coolers, very often 5+ buyin swings in a 2k hand session for example. I dont know why this is? Am i played too aggro? playing at 20vpip/13% pfr in 6max or so.

Just seems odd becuase i read a lot of blogs and theres people who never seem to have any variance, or well like 1 buyin up 1 buyin down for a session.

My graphs go up down up down up down like mad, even in longer term (20k) u can see big swings in it.

Is there something i can do to lower variance in my game?

Two articles in bluff and the winnar is...... by Daut, May 18

Rodeoblue obv.

2nd place to heath:

http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/2386/dautcardaw7.png

too bad 2nd place gets nothing!

here's rodeo's masterpiece:

http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/9990/dautnutssmellyw5.jpg

go blow it and more chunks at strip clubs (inside joke that i should definitely write up as a blog entry because rodeo has literally the funniest strip club story ive ever heard)

I have 2 articles in bluff magazine. one is written by me, its basically about putting people on hand ranges and making logical actions, that was in the may issue, and the second is a WSOP preview article in june centered on me and a few other young players (eric froelich, johnny lodden and a couple other guys) who a lot of people dont know about.

ive yet to see either one yet, ill try to pick up a bluff magazine when i get to vegas.

For those of you who are new to the game, when something like that happens, quit immediately. You probably won't be able to make much money afterwards unless you're a really disciplined mothafucka. Thank god we weren't 3 or 5 buyins deep.

New teacher by PetrBlaha, May 18

I can't tell how much I'm excited. I've applied for private lessons and the result is that for this summer, I will have very respectable teacher : Corwin aka [vital]Myth

I hope that we will place strong bricks to that big holes in my play and that it is turning point in my poker carrier

Last several days, I've been preparing really hard for final exams @ Grammar school. I'm taking tests from english, literature, geography and sociology+psychology+phylosphy+economy+politology. I'm studying about 5-10 hours per day and after few days of complete frustration I finally seem to adapt to this style (since I've never ever learned so MUCH!)
If I'm talking about education, I should mention that I'm already submited to college

So yeah, everything goes well...let's wait for something to fuck up

have a nice day

It seems I need to re-model my online game. After reviewing some of these hands it seems I need to rethink how to aproach multi-tabling. Maybe less tables.

day 6 and poker can kiss my ass by PplusAD, May 18

Okay since i was running bad the last 2 days
i took a pencil and made some notes to check if it was just my impression or if in fact i get incredible bad beats.

So far 30 SNGs played Today
Stats for me Dominating an Oppenonet like
AQ vs KQ

4-17

Holla

I know 21 hands is not a big enough sample size ..
but 4-17 when it should have been 15-6 ( 70-30) in my favour
is

Down - 90 $ for today

i ll move down to the 2,50 $ SNG again
and just play ocassionally for fun.

Poker is alot more gambling than many people admit.
Variance is a very underrated faktor

IELTS pwnage by SneakrFreakr, May 18

So I just got my results from IELTS exam. And I got 8 out of 9 That means that I officially got into the uni. I only needed 6 so 8 is pretty awesome. 8 means that I have "fully operational command of the language with only occasional unsystematic inaccuracies and inappropriacies. Misunderstanding may occur in unfamiliar situations. And I handle complex detailed argumentation very well."

So now it's time to party a bit. I'll probably get pissed as fuck tonight so it's gonna be a gooooot weekend.

Pokertracker stats by rANDY, May 18

Wellll I just got pokertracker and the only stats I had to put into it was from when I played stars back in jan/feb. Im not too sure how to interpret them so wondered if someone could point out my worst stats and what needs improving.

Fuck May by DustySwedeDude, May 18

I hate this month. Dunno if I'll even make my goal of 5k profits. Gotta shape up if that's going to happend. Anyway, I'll probably try to study or something to make sure that I pass my exams and then try to be a bit more serious about poker next month.

Going to start a blog by mrpav.com, May 18

Its 4am right now, and i made a decision to create a blog each week. My username on stars is ==pav==. If been playing poker for about 1 ½ years now, been playing at .25/.5 all the way to 1/2. At the moment I’ve been playing at .5/1 and have nice results. Going to be playing there until I hit 8k and then I plan to move up to 1/2. For the past 2-3 weeks I’ve been playing only %16 of my hands. My goal for the next 2 weeks is to raise that number from %16 to %20-24. And yes, my brother is TalentedTom so stop asking me. =)
