I spent the last two weeks collecting my mind and getting ready to start playing again, and feel like I'm ready to give it another go, with proper BR management and an increased focus due to stress reduction.

I'm moving into a new house now, and will start dealing poker on the side at a local casino as well.

I left myself $25 when I stopped playing about a month ago.
After a couple two hr sessions on NL2, I'm now rolled for NL5, and will be working my way up the limits slowly, until I hit NL50 where I plan to stay and play for atleast a few months, maybe more.

me and 2 of my friends drove for 5 hours from southern california to northern california to one of their families parties where they had a sublime tribute band and a keg.

So it was a normal day, until I remembered that I still had a 30min lesson available . Without losing anymore time, I woke Floofy up and told him to come at my 2tables.

Then I proceeded to let the floofy skills do the work. Pokergod probably owed him a buck or two, because he managed to call down from the skies about 10 big pocket pairs (including 4-5KKs) in about 50 hands.

well ive practically demolished 25nl after tilting like 16bi when i ran pretty horrific 10days ago, im happy to say that im at 50nl and im crushing that too , i think at the rate im going im moving up to 100nl by next week so i hope fulltilt doesnt give me one of this sick sick bad runs where i can practically taste the vomit at the back of my mouth lol
i can truly say that posting reading and frequenting this site has been soooo helpful to me, im a cardrunners member and i rarely if ever, post at their forums, i just watch the same videos just for a confidence boost. i especially like the low limit and taylor's vids best, some fruitypro also. i like the insight the people here give, honestly, i dont apply the more advanced topics to my game yet, coz i feel i dont really need it at the moment, so i can honestly say that i have a lot of insight on the med stakes scene and how people play there but i think ill just stick with the abc advice here for now. thanks a lot liquidpoker!

Played around 800 hands today. Went up ~$100. The good news...i've finally reached the 3k mark on UB (3300-3400 including rakeback). Can't tell you how good it feels to be building a solid BR. Last few times i'd get upset and cash out a thousand here and there and leave my BR pretty meager. My goal of 4k before August 22nd stands, should be easily attainable (knock on wood). So i'll start 100NL when I reach 4k. Hopefully by xmas i'll be at 200NL. 200NL is a place i'd like to stay at for a year or so. I think that's the first limit where I can significantly improve my game, so i'd like to take advantage of that to the fullest. Hopefully i'll be getting drunk tonight. Cheers.

basically my first poker entry.

no pt because i dont use it because i see through souls and dont need no bitch ass program. and its hard to use on UB.

anyways i now believe in karma(not really). i loaned bum ass rush 500 bucks the other day. and im running like jesus.

im up like 4k in like 2k hands at nl400 and like 1k in nl200 tonight on 30 minute session right after i woke up donking it up playing super lag.

I put a decent amount of play in during July. I started at 50 NL but just am not feeling comfortable in online cash right now. I shifted to the $16 turbo SNGs and did pretty well. Here be them graphs:

To start August I'll continue playing the 16s. I've just about got all my debts paid off which will get a huge weight off my shoulders. I'd like to have a 4 figure month at the 16s and maybe mix in some tourneys or move up in SNGs. I go back to school at the end of the month so that should free more time for playing as it's kinda difficult at home. I'd like to sat into some WCOOP events too but we'll see how that works out.

Impossible. Can't win. Won't work.

Whatever I do at 50 nl fails. Bluff? They are all fucking stations, call call gg buyins. Don't bluff? Oh, that's the guy who doesn't bet without a hand, fold to him. GG buyins.

I think a big hole of mine is raising with a wide range in LP. I have a whopping 23% PFR on the button according to position stats, and play about 21/16 - 20/15 overall. 23% PFR on the button is not that big, but since everyone calls with any fucking 2 in the blinds im throwing money away. Position is irrelevant if someone is a calling station.

Another big hole is being too predictable on the turn and river. I rarely 2nd barrel bluff because I can't tell who will fold and who won't. I'm pretty good at putting people on hands and can tell when they are weak, but that's pretty useless if I have air and they won't fold.

I don't know what to do. Post advice in comments please, 30/10 players are destroying me.

edit: I think I just fuck up a lot of big pots. Gonna reduce # of tables I play and see what happens.

July review ofcoz. I cashouted everything and left myself w/ 800 bucks. As I write this post my BR i $2200, so it looks like I spewed 900 on donkaments in July.
No more freakin donkaments in August! Once and for all!

yesterday i dropped ~$240. Lot of bad beats. Today, however, I was given a lot of donations and made it back. I'm now getting into the habit of reviewing all of my hands to find some leaks. PT (<3) makes it so easy to do and i'm noticing a lot of stuff already. Highly suggest everyone starts doing this...if you want to be a baller like mig you need to put in the hard work. Cheers.

I picked up 375 more bucks today in like a 10 minute session against Elvis-Senior today at 30/60 razz. He quickly left after he busted (bought in for 300 twice). Enough of that though Im gonna get to razz at the end. My results for holdem( I havent played much because my computer sucks when it comes to running pahud and pokertracker, so I thought about laying off holdem a bit and playing more razz which has been awesome):

My results in the last week of razz 30/60 since ive been keeping track have added up and the final total is 3232$. Pretty sick because I may have played maybe 6 hours? maybe 1500 hands. Pretty Awesome and I hope it continues.

Holdem -- 2552$
Razz -- 3232$
Other -- 500$(estimate)

Total -- 6284$. Woohoo I love Razz!!

Sooooo, it ended alright after yesterday's downswing (I started off making 500$ in an hour so that's why the fall is so huuuuge) I managed to recover today.

Played.. hm. Better, had some luck (and some bad luck). I played a little bit looser/less scared during my second session today, made a few stupid mistakes because of it probably.

Anyway, nice that I was able to salvage July at least somewhat (well the graph is july+1 hour of august).

Maybe I'll post some hands later, or you can just check the mass hands I posted.

And so ends another breakeven month. I got in a decent amount of hands considering all the RL shit/events I had going this month. I played a bland session this morning (+20) to finished the month off.

Feeling confident at the tables though; opening my 3-bet game a bit, and I've recently been calling people down lighter on the river, after the turn has been checked through, and the results are slightly in my favor I think.

After a lot of advice, I've dropped from 9 to 6 tables, and I think I like it. Gives me more chance to concentrate on each of my actions, and I can actually see the tables on my P.O.S. monitor now. One thing I've noticed after moving down to 6 tables is that my numbers haven't gone up that much at all. I've been running pretty steady at 14/12 or so. I guess I can no longer use the excuse "too many tables to play any faster". I suppose I'm a nit at heart

Poker

So yea, I've been playing poker for about a year now. I've done between 25 and 30k USD (Not sure after all cashouts and such, and can't be bothered to look in pokertracker because my computer is too slow), which is a fucking shitload more then I figured that I could make when I started out. I've got green numbers on every limit from NL5 to NL400 and even if I'm playing NL100 now after a recent cashout + downswing I'm on my way back really fast. I won't cash out anything this more this year unless something happends so I'll probably be back at NL400 in a month or two.

Other random facts:

I've been playing everything from standard TAG (NL50) to 44/40 (a sick week on NL100 this spring), which I think has helped me a lot with marginal situations since I've been in them a lot.

I still can't fold shit. I've succesfully called down 3 streets with J6-high IRL. However, I was drunk. Sick reads lol^^.

I've made a lot of friends, both IRL and on the internet from poker and even though I'm not superclose to anyone really on this forum, except that I'm working on a project with a lot of the Swedish dudes, I feel that I've learned a lot about the correct attitude from people on this site. I'd like to say thanks to every evil lowlife who has told me to stop my crying, because they've been right more or less every time.

I'd also like to say thanks to Nolan, MilZo and others who works as my self-esteem when I run bad.

IRL

Ok, basicly I'm not doing that much this summer. I'm working out a bit and now I can handle +90kg in bench press which is pretty good for a computer geek on 80ish kg. I'll try to get to 100 soon, should be piece of cake.

One of my rommmates, K, randomly decided that she'd move in with some 45 y/o peruan dude with 2 kids. I'm trying to be supportive and everything, but all I can thinks is "OMG FOLD PRE-LIFE!". Anyway, that took me to the funny situation that I had to get another roommate or live alone with some girl who have had sex with like the greatest friend anyone could ever have while I tryed to figure out who I was, why beer was all over me, wtf that bush did in front of the sky and why I couldn't get away from the fact that something seemed wrong. Don't get me wrong or anything, I'm not jealous or anything since I really like that dude and if there someone in this world I'd like good things to happen to it's him (well, I like myself better, but he's a close 2nd, AND he's very good at basketball). However, this would still be too much like a bad sub-plot in "friends" or something so I got hold of some dude I've never seen but whom I've been speaking to over the internet for the last 10 years or so and he'll move in with me in a few weeks. Might pwn, lol. I'll teach him poker.

That less-then-superhot girl from earlier post IMed me a week ago or something. She seemed less then happy with her job and indicated that she really thought that I was immature. Well, guess what, I am, but I'm not taking care of old ppl who shits themselves for a living. Bitch.
