Was at a friends after partying for days and wasn't really in the right poker mind set but felt I could still do well. Ended up losing about $270 dollars over 800 or so hands. I drove back home, got something to eat, cleaned myself up and was determined to make all of that back. Luckily, I received a $200 donation from a donkey (hands below) and I outlasted the bad beats to come up $50 for the day over 3k hands. Here are some amusing hands for your enjoyment:

BR related news. I'm at $3500 and UB decided to be generous and offer me a $500 reload bonus up to 100%!!! So $500 extra + rakeback = my new goal for this month is to reach 5k before I have to go back to college. I won't be starting 100NL until the 23rd (when I move back) so hopefully I can easily reach my goal at 50NL..maybe go a bit higher with some good runs . Cheers.
ETA: apparently it won't let me post multiple hands? Wtf?
well last night i almost tilted after grinding approx 7 hours and losing 5 buyins to complete coolers like set over sets and aa vs kkk type of hands. set over set was like 3 times, and the rest, aside from the aa vs kk hand, were just blinds from 8 tables card dead for hours and hours lol.
i was surprised about how i carried myself thoughout the whole session never tilting and everything, after that grueling session i even felt happy that however bad it got, i never ever tilted and made stupid macho moves just to push back those aggro pf players. kinda nitty in a way, today was a different story though, i said to myself "if i play like i played yesterday, im winning everything back and then some, and i did, i did! plus 1 bi:D life is still good even if it's bad. lol
August started off not good so far for me. I had a really bad short term spree at $200NL which made me move back to $100NL again which was a bummer. Not a huge deal, it happens. But I ran my roll a little thin so if I run bad at all at $100NL I may move down to $50NL.
I keep telling myself its all about grinding it out, so I'm trying to learn to 12 table right now. I've also became pretty passive with my roll requirements. I'm moving down at 40buyins for the last level and up at 40 for the next, which is unlike me but whatever. But I mean, its no bigs. If I can pull a good roll for 2/4 by the end of the year I'll be pleased with myself. If not, okay no big deal.
I've been discussing a lot of "out there" theories with Pawel lately and thats been pretty good. I really feel like the kiddo respects my game and obv I have a ton of respect for his. The thing I love about it though is he likes to play a low variance game while I like to play a high variance game and it makes for seeing both sides of the coin easy and interesting.
I've also been talkin to Moloch a lot. That kid is solid. I haven't thrown a HH past him yet where he's woke up with the wrong answer. Oh well, adaware shipped his roll away so hes busto now. [[RUMORZZ LOL]]
Alright, thats about it. I've been posting on LP a bunch lately and browsing 2p2 but for some reason have been avoiding CR.
Golf sidenote: My swing is still terrible but Greg has been helping me a ton. I left my driver in my buddies car so I won't be able to hit the range this weekend since I have 1.) no car and 2.) No clubs. I need to get my new bertha and odyssey ordered since I'll be playing Kayak here in a couple weeks for the first time in 8 years! I'm juiced!
One thing I want to rant about: This PokerEV shit has to be just about the most annoying shit ever. Every fucking knob job wants to post pictures of their graph "OMG I TOOK SO MANY BEATS" shut the fuck up and grind it out no one fucking cares. Badbeat stories, NO ONE CARES.
Alright, peace out. Here is my sick 12 table setup if anyone cares, holla.
Another Horse tourney and The Bourne Ultimatumby D_Finkle, August 04
I played 3 tournies today... a 15 dollar horse tourney in which i took a rough beat hitting a K in stud hi/lo, where only a 10, J, Q or K does not improve my hand (i was the only player w/ a shot at the low). Then played in a razz satelite tourney for the WCOOP. I saw 77 hands 6, 7, and 8 handed.... i won 2. GG. Then I played a 1500 FPP horse sat for the WCOOP. Myself and a guy named DonaldTrump took it down. So congrats to him as well. He played it really well at the end. We had been at the same table for most of the tournament and though we mixed it up a little bit, we stayed out of each other's way for the most part as we had been the two chipleaders.
Also, if you have not seen the Bourne Ultimatum yet, and are a fan of the series... WOW... go see this movie. I have not seen a movie more than once in theaters since i was 9 years old and watched Wayne's World for 2 bucks each time. I will probably go see this one in theaters again. It is that good.
Recently I've been tilting like a monkey and everytime I do so, I've been losing literally like 1/4 of my BR. I play 50NL and just now after a few coolers/bad beats, I went fucking nuts and decided to play some sngs that were way over my bankroll aka (120$, 55$ and the occasional 33$ one). Not surprisingly, I only cashed in one of like 10 tries. Man I gotta stop fucking tilting. It's killing me........
I think it's about time to say 'goodbye' to PokerStars for a while. I'll stick to Everest and try to make a decent roll there. I'll definitely come back to PS to gain Supernova VIP status, but not before I'm properly rolled at least for NL100.
I really don't know why, but PS's soft somehow makes me tilt. I play a couple of hands and then I become more and more irritated due to not winning anything. Finally I donk off a buy-in or two before eventually end playing.
That's the reason of transfering my Stars roll (I ended up even on their site) to Everest. Everest is full of retarted Frenchman and Italians, mixed w/ fishy 40-year old Germans and nitty predictable Dutchman and Swedes. I have a sick winrate there and hopefully it won't decrease.
That being said, it's time to concentrate fully on NL50 at Everest.
As some of you may know, currently I live in London. I decided to spend a whole year here in order to improve my English and start studying in Manchester from 2008. At first I wanted to find a job, but I think I'm too lazy to get up early every morning. So finally, after some thinking process (it hurts a lot, I gotta tell ya), my decision is to play poker for a living and withdraw $1200 every month. Of course if I continue winning on Everest and increasing my roll even cashing out each month. If not - it's time to get a job, bitch .
Well, looks like you finally reached the end of this post.
Thx for reading,
GL everyone!
P.S. Actually, I have a job now. I'm translating English CardPlayer articles for the Polish edition. Not a well payed job though.
So I've been playing poker for a long time now. It all started when I played at Bugsy's club. I would race home from school to enter the free 800 player tournaments and sit there for 4 hours to win $0.32. After getting bored of winning so much money, I stopped playing for around a year until I started university.
I met another LP regular, rANDY on my corridor and we became fast friends. I started my bankroll with the free $50 from party poker. At this point I still hadn't discovered LP and continued to play thinking I knew it all, and slowly grinded that 50 up to 150.
Enticed by UB's first deposit bonus / rakeback, I put my party poker money on there and slowly tripled that up to around $300. At this point I joined LP and started to realise just how shit i am at poker. I took full advantage of all the ipoker free sign up bonus offers and earnt nearly $400 playing on them.
Last month I decided to cash out everything and stick $600 on full tilt. I havn't played many hands last month but I'm expecting around $60 rakeback, playing a mixture of nl25 and nl10 when I've felt less confident after a string of bad beats.
Anyway if you've made it this far, congratulations.
I wana thank everyone whos taken their time to give advice on any hands I've posted and I'll update this blog every so often to let you know how I'm getting on!
Grinding hard and will continue to do so until I get the green light for passing on to the higher stakes at microstakes (wow that sounds dumb)
