So it is the 19th of September.. I have been up all 7 hours of the day so far =0 which isn't intentional :@ I got home at around 12:30 then grinded till about 2 AM then went upstairs and had to clean my room up a bit cause the house is being appraised today or some nonsense. I tryed sleeping for awhile but couldn't : ( So I came back and decided to do a poor BR management while playing cash tables and entered a Sit N' Go.
The results were pleasing. A HUGE WIN!?! SO HAPPY?!?! Not only am I getting my hookah in 24 hours or so, but I placed 2nd in one of the most difficult games in the world, the 3.25 Turbo on Stars :D

So if people have read my blog before I've been talking about the team poker leagues that I played last spring. So I thought I would explain the structure of the league that I'm going to play again.

On the sitenote I've been playing alot of Dealers Choice lately. So alot of PLO and PLO Hi/Lo, and some random stuff like razz, 2-7 triple draw, 5 card stud, Badugi, Crazy Pineapple, Seb Holdem.

For the swedish people: Expressen/Poker

So, the team consists of at least 4 players and the maximum number is 8. We are 7 people in our time (like we were last year). 4 people in the team get to play. So 8 FR tables, and 4 of us are divided into 4 different tables (we're never allowed to sit on the same table). 10,000 | 25/50 | 30 min levels. So the structure is pretty good. Anways every hour you get a team action which means that the 4 people that are left meet and are allowed to bring a % (depends on the size of your stack) of their chips with them. So if i'm a good chipleader I can donate some of my chips to my team mates to keep them alive or vice versa. When then final table is arranged and lets say that our team has 2 players left then we can put or stack together, and we can also change play every button. It costs $2k per team roughly, and we won it last time So im hoping ofcourse that we can win it again. Oh and this time its in the whole of sweden, where the top 2 teams from each city travel to Tallinn to the finals!

Well it was fun while it lasted, but of course I run cold at the worse possible time. Came in 20th in the round 3 where top 18 got money back and 16 got seats. I got 4+ gapper shit for the last 35 or so minutes of my tourney and ended up pretty much forced to go in in the SB.

I've had some complaints about all of my negative blog posts, so here's a positive one. I'm playing really well again.

I had a short coaching session with PoorUser (which I highly recommend, he showed me some sicko things and it's amazing how he takes over a table) . The problem is he couldn't play any more opposite than i do. So my next session i tried to play like he played and i failed miserably. By the end of that short session I felt completely lost, I felt like the worst player at all of my tables.

After that I took a day off and when I came back I really got back to basics, just playing the poker that has got me where I am. I feel more comfortable and I'm playing better than I have in a long time. I think I hit rock bottom with my game and that's probably what I needed because it caused me to take a step back and reassess everything.

So hopefully this will continue and I won't write any more depressing blog posts

I've only got to use it for three days yet since i got sick 2 days ago so i cant really say how good it works yet but its really cool. It have woken me up around a 15 mins before the time ive set. The sound you sleep to are really great though and its pretty cool that it automatically turns off when u fall asleep.

To something other my dell is arriving this week and im pumped to get it so i can start grind again becouse this comp is completely shit, it lags so much when i 6 table with po right now and that makes me so tilted i cant play.

So I had a small 600-hand session today between classes. Started out a little shaky (QQ < KQ, then QQ < 77, then QQ < KT) but in the end it turned out okay. Caught a ridiculous string of cards, and managed to get people to call me. Graph (I hope):

this story is pretty fuckin lol.

so it rolls back to about 5 days ago.

I go to this free poker night with my friend. You get $1500 chips if you buy a drink, blinds start at 25/50.

My friend wins it in the most hilarious fashion imaginable. Obv he doesnt know the hilarity as he pushed T5 vs J7o but whatever.

He wins a $50 bar tab valid for 6 days (poker is on a weds) He was out on friday and i was out on saturday - we decide tuesday drinking is all good.

So we go up about midday and get like 3 beers each and some fries.

We go piss about in the sports shop and head back to mine. I say we should stop at the liquer shop on the way home and we but 16 beers.

we get home and watch some tv-links.co.uk then we put on some music and hop out my window on to the roof.

NOW APPARENTLY - SOMEONE DIDNT LIKE THIS

So next thing i know someones all peeling us out. the landlady is over and she all in my grill. Me and mate run out the backdoor and run to someone elses flat. They persue and catch up to us. We aagree to co operate.

I tell my mate that i think i might bolt. I decide not to but i tell him that ill take the fall on this one.

We stand around and eat some food and we can see security and the landlady outside out house.

I go upstairs and put on my air jorndan shorts to give me the best chance to run from the po po.

nigga whut. I go outside me and my friend flatmate talk to landlady and my friend say "is there nothing that can be done to resolve this?"

land lady say "no, ive had enough of this behaviour in the village"

i say "fine" and run down and jump in my car

i speed off and im quite obviously way too pissed to drive.

I turn around and come back to pick up my mate, when i pull in the drive way theres cops there. I pull a hard u-turn.

some nit a tries to be a hero and stand infront of my car. i speed towards him beeping the horn and he gets out my way.

I drive up the road then i drive the wrong way down a one way street, upon joining the main road the cops pull up by me.

I have 2 options here, slam into reverse and try out run the police in a 1000cc honda integra, or give up. I choose nit life and give up.

They park my car and i ride back to the village in their car. After a bit they decide they "cant trust me" and put me in cuffs.

i chat some shit through the window and theres a little crowd to see me taken down by the 5 0 for a 2nd time in a couple of months.

I ask the cop whats gonna happen and hes like "well we take you back to station then breathalize you then you can go"

realizing i wasnt facing anight in the cells i decide to co-operate.

I need to blow less than 400 to pass, so the pressure wass on.

I made the breathand sailed through with a smooth 800, fail.

So they fill some forms and read them out. I claim that my dad is my lawyer and i want to phone him. Then i decide not to afte blowing a 780 on the 2nd go.

They give me a lift home and i have a suspended licence, with a court appearance in a few weeks.

I return home and continued drinking, then went to the gas station for a pie coz i rule..

phoned my mum and told her what it do. She seemed down. I will be abroad for most of my ban so its fuckin gravy.

1/3 NL live

Villain hit a little heater and has been playing very very LAG the last few orbits, raising nearly every hand. I have 500 behind and he covers.

Folds to him in SB. He min-raises to $6. I have KsTc and consider repopping him here, but I have about 0 fold equity so I decide to flat and see a flop in position.

Flop: AdJdQh

YAHTZEE! Flopped the nut straight baby! He donk bets $6.

I raise pot to $36.

He thinks for a while and makes it $80 or something like that. At this point I'm basically salivating, thinking that he's either got a set or something like TPTK + FD, two pair, etc.

I think for a little bit and make it like $150 more or something. He TANKS forever - I'm hoping he doesn't have the discipline to fold what seems to be obviously JJ/QQ/AA.

After like 5 minutes he FINALLY says ALL-IN. FUCK YEAH BIOTCH. HOLD UP ONE TIME BABY!!

And what does he flip over? KdKh, for a gutshot and backdoor flush draw. LOL. turn and river brick, and I rake in the $1k. Live poker is so easy.

The rest of the night was sick too. Flopped the nut flush in a 4 way raised pot, flopped set over set, had AA like 4 or 5 times with action every time, flopped the nut straight, etc. etc. Profit for the night: $1200. 4 BI in 6 hours of non-deepstacked live play is definitely nice.

Anyway, I've been playing more live than online recently. Moved to Eugene, OR and they have pretty sweet poker rooms downtown, don't even have to deal with a casino or anything. I'm up about $8k over 20k hands this month online, so that's been going quite well too. Recently moved to 3/6 and have profited just a little over only 2 or 3k hands. Would post some graphs but my new computer has some video driver problems that prevent screen capture.

Oh i guess i could touch on poker. Ive been super lazy all summer and just playing enough to keep me in spedning money, not really trying to move past 25nl.

Well now that im back in school my motivation is coming back again. Im gunna try and grind up through the limits now. Its gunna be tough cuz ill still have to cash out a few hundred a week since i dont work. Wont be too bad once i get to 50nl. Once i have like 30 buyins for 100nl ill prolly switch to a fishier site (i play ons stars obv)... we'll see tho, who knows.

OH yeah! and also! i came in 3rd in the season 2 of the ladder. ship teh 75$ yo. pretty pissed that i was #1 like all season until the las ttwo tourneys but w/e.

News from from my life: Started uni again, taking political science and canadian history, should be fun. I also joined the Libertarian party. Again im just starting my pol sci so maybe next year i may look back on that and laugh, but ive been following politics reasonably closely the past few years and the libertarians are the only party that really speaks to me. Besides, how much more of a poker player ideology could libertarianism be? hehe

OOOO ok and one more thing., ive been playing a little bit of PL 5 card draw lately and i fucking love this game. This might be totally ass backwards cuz of my short sample size and total ignorance about draw, but it seems REaALLY low variance. Ive just been playing it for kicks here and there, but i want to look linto it some more because it has been insanely profitable so far... I dont wanna go into detail cuz im so new to it but theres alot more strategy to it than i thought there was. Its so insanely easy to put people on near exact hands, and so cheap and easy to bluff. Poker gets real easy when u stop dealign with ranges and can put someone on an exact hand m,ost the time. Anyways, I checked the intructor lists for anyone that teaches draw but none were listed. If theres any good draw players out there wanna talk about a little bit of coaching, PM me.

Anyways, this WAS orignally just gunna be those three pics but i guess im chatty and i just love u all so much.... anyways lol

So I've started grinding the pennies with 50 dollars my friend fronted me on Stars. But before we get to that, lets learn a little about me.

I go to University, am currently in my 2nd year, studying Social Science. I like the Ottawa Senators, Arizona Cardinals, used to love the Montreal Expos, and love Jagermeister. I dislike Budweiser, but will drink it because as a man named Ben once said "All beer is manly". I just started quitting smoking, Belmonts were my downfall of choice. up 16 buy ins in about 12 hrs of play at 50NL. I'll need to get in a few more buy ins before i move up to 100NL but before i do, i'll probably need to get rakeback. i've been meaning to do it yet i haven't had much time to cash out. i'll probably do it within the week.
