Just moved to ub but couldnt avail of the bonus (, played a couple of games and things went pretty well then another shitstorm "wtf i dont believe you have it sucka!!!" series of setups tilted me a bit ( a ton lol) then i spewed being up 1bi to be down 2 on my first day and i remember saying "fuck online poker must really be rigged after all and doomswitch theories lololololol..."
so i ended up being up only 4bi for the week on stars and that really was depressing for me because i was playing super solid abc poker and had a 8bi 2 day run then this... back to 4bi, earlier this afternoon i played just out of boredom then lo and behold... this time it was rigged in my favor! ha! went up 8bi in 500 hands so now im at 900 level 25nl at ub. i think my game has improved a lot since last month but my self restraint still needs a lot of work, its just good that nowadays i tilt only like 2bi then stop and cry (lol) unlike before where i would be in this maniacal state and just blame bad luck on everything but me. i think thisll work out for me after all. the 100nl goal by december seems attainable again. this time ill make sure to cover at least 30k hands at 50nl with a winrate of 6plus to move up to 100. im really starting to appreciate what i did (buying the watch i really liked) because now i dont fear going bust anymore. i fear the possibility of moving up even more than going bust, which is kinda strange though. thats it for now and goodluck to all lpers.
btw. i had a good 2bi session before that and since ub keeps fucking up my pt and hud it only says around 6bi here.
Well, im a bit tilted right now, last couple days have been the worst in my poker "career"
I'm down $650 in a couple of days, which to me is huge. Completely raped by the weekend donks. I'm going to take a bit of time off from poker and relax.
I'm rolled comfortably for nl50 but nl100 is a long way away now.
I ran sick good for the whole day except for the last 400 hands. At the highest point I was up almost 6k and then lost every pot I was involved in For example I 4bet the biggest fish on my stakes with AA and he calls with T7s and obviously flop is TTx etc. I'm soooo tilted right now. The fact that I lost almost 5k total yesterday and two days ago didn't tilt me at all. But my best day ever tilted me so hard lolz. I was about to quit when up 6k but I remembered peoplez saying to play as long as you can when you're running good but this time it didn't go well. Bleh. I know it's pathetic but I'm soooo pissed off lolz. I also misplayed one hand in the end of the session where I played my draw in reraised pot against a regular in a way different from the way I'd play a real hand and he made a good read and c/r me all in with QJ on JTxx board when I had AQ for FD + gutshot + two overcards and couldn't fold getting almost 4-1 odds. I'm pretty sure that he'd fold if I bet more on flop and more on turn. Meh.
I'm also pretty happy about today cause I made a lot of good reads and plays. But still - I'm soooo tiled - can't remember when was the last time I felt like this. I didn't know that winning 3.5k can be that frustrating lolz. I don't even understand why I'm so pissed off.
edit: I've just realized while looking through poker tracker that I'm spewing a lot at nl600 so I'm gonna try to stick to nl400 and nl500 for now until I get to 30k or so (I've got like 26k now). I'm still up 4k for the month but I'm down 4.7k on nl600 lolz. It's kinda strange though cause the players pool is pretty similar.

Deposited $300 yesterday on Pokerstars. Figured I would get up early and try a new tournament. I am playing the $11 deepstack tournament. I will update my results when I am done the tournament.
Not going to play HU for at least 2 months. Book it.
- Don't have enough tilt control
- Lower edge than 6max/9max
- Less skill
Just played a guy who constantly (read: every flop) frontbet 2 into 2.85. Played well but the guy kept hitting his hands and I missed mine. Luckily I stopped before I tilted. Blew 1.6 buyins in the process though.

Put in most of the pot with him drawing to 3 outs. As usual, he hits. Don't think I can fold river - keep in mind he does this flop/turn betting pattern everytime, so you can't read into it. River looks bad but he really has a 7 or AQ or is bluffing, and pot odds dictate a call.

Wow. This has been bad. I have finally felt the weight and depression of a painful downward spiral into self doubt. I worked very hard to avoid tilting and today especially... I would play about an hour then hit 3 horrible hands in a row and be ready to push every hand on every table, but instead quickly closed PS and went to hang out with my girlfriend till she got a smile back on my face. Then I'd head back to the computer and try again after clearing my mind and doing a few incantations reminding myself that I could beat NL25.
Despite all that I kept losing, and losing, and losing... So I had a couple drinks and decided to make a big change - Super tight, 12+ tables and very aggro. Amazingly it worked. I ended up 18 tabling for a bit (weird that I 18 tabled 6max and used to have trouble 12 tabling full ring) and winning 8 buyins! Didn't fully recoup me as I was down a total of 14 buyins, but it sure was nice. I experimented with the idea of overbetting the pot... always. Seriously. My continuation bets were always over the pot, and at the lowest they'd be pot sized. I actually did 1 continuation bet that was 1/2 the pot and someone saw it, tried to raise to steal and I reraised and stole it back with air. That was a nice one.
Anyway, I am not sure if I just got really lucky for a bit or if this is a good strategy. I played about 13% of my hands and raised like a maniac. I varied my PFR from 4x the big blind to 8x the big blind (open raising). I also 3bet a bit lighter and much larger than the pot when I did. Then I'd hit the flop with overpot continuation bets and I got people to lay down left and right. The beauty was that the few times people DID call, if I had air I'd easily get away from it, and if I had a hand I could easily get them all in. I also found that even though I was playing much tighter than normal, the people who were at the same table with me for about an hour started treating me like a complete maniac. Yes, I was betting huge, but I usually had pretty solid hands to do it with. I started getting people pushing with KTo and worse. It was nice.
I completely got away from the blind stealing game. If I had enough time amongst the 18 tables to notice someone was stealing like crazy vs me I'd open my 3bet range a bit, but overall I let it go. If I noticed I was in steal position vs a super nit then I'd open up light too. I'd check my BB nearly 100% of the time and check / fold. If I did hit I'd overbet the pot. Again, mostly people folded but when they did call, I had something and got paid off for it. Usually the odd 2pair that you get outta the BB.
Anyway, that's my story for tonight. After about a 6 day downswing, finally had a solid winning session. I think I will try the same strategy again tomorrow and see how it comes out. Here's some graph's and SS's to put some visuals on this experience:
