So yesterday I had another bad session and ran like total crap:

(yes I know I'm a nit)

But today I had my best day ever:

(yes I know I'm a nit)

I ran sick good for the whole day except for the last 400 hands. At the highest point I was up almost 6k and then lost every pot I was involved in For example I 4bet the biggest fish on my stakes with AA and he calls with T7s and obviously flop is TTx etc. I'm soooo tilted right now. The fact that I lost almost 5k total yesterday and two days ago didn't tilt me at all. But my best day ever tilted me so hard lolz. I was about to quit when up 6k but I remembered peoplez saying to play as long as you can when you're running good but this time it didn't go well. Bleh. I know it's pathetic but I'm soooo pissed off lolz. I also misplayed one hand in the end of the session where I played my draw in reraised pot against a regular in a way different from the way I'd play a real hand and he made a good read and c/r me all in with QJ on JTxx board when I had AQ for FD + gutshot + two overcards and couldn't fold getting almost 4-1 odds. I'm pretty sure that he'd fold if I bet more on flop and more on turn. Meh.

I'm also pretty happy about today cause I made a lot of good reads and plays. But still - I'm soooo tiled - can't remember when was the last time I felt like this. I didn't know that winning 3.5k can be that frustrating lolz. I don't even understand why I'm so pissed off.

edit: I've just realized while looking through poker tracker that I'm spewing a lot at nl600 so I'm gonna try to stick to nl400 and nl500 for now until I get to 30k or so (I've got like 26k now). I'm still up 4k for the month but I'm down 4.7k on nl600 lolz. It's kinda strange though cause the players pool is pretty similar.

18/15 isn't so bad, it's pretty close to what I run, was running slightly looser but now I got scared at NL200

what are you guys talking about 18/15 is extremely tight

that's not a bad thing at all, it's still extremely tight though. which is definitely profitable on prima

btw who is the "biggest fish" at your stakes with the T7?

in fact, extremely tight is probably highly profitable anywhere. i think you can make more money being quite loose, but it's really hard not to spew when you play so many hands. so a rather tight style is the best option for most people.

some people reeeeeeeeeeally pull off the super-loose style well though, and they do it with almost no spewing. like cts...so amazing

If there is one thing I have learned from cardrunners video it is to change gear. Anyway I've had my best session playing tight aggro.

yeah changing gears is pretty key. just remember that changing gears is not an arbitrary decision, but a reactionary decision. you should change gears when your current gear has led people to perceive you in one way, and by changing to some other gear you'll profit more. but if your current style is crushing the game and nobody is adjusting, then you have no reason to switch. make sense?
