Bust 200/400 Limit by TheBeachGirL, November 21

Planned on just gambling with 5k wound up, up 10k then like 3 hours later down -10k then insta nl25/50 and then Im all she wrote. That guy NU GATASBY is a freaking luckbox an he tilted me

So I burned roughly 37k and finally made it to a supernova but got no money to play, so Im taking a break for a few months until my brother get the money and I can be rerolled.

Like Im not mad which is weird? right?? I think this is shock or denial?

To The East Side.. by k2o4, November 21

Moving on up... ohhh to the East Side!!!

http://www.museum.tv/archives/etv/J/htmlJ/jeffersonst/jeffersonstIMAGE/jeffersonst.jpg

So after my first shot at NL50 with a BR of $1,230 that turned into a 3 buyin loss, I decided to stick to NL25 until I got back up to $1,250 and then give it another shot. Played a nice session but unfortunately folded AA vs a guy who went all in because of a freaking misclick, losing the half buyin I already put into the pot. He later told me he had AK. So I came out with about 2/3 of a buyin win... and a lot of anger.

Then I got inspired. I got motivated. I got pumped up. Why? Cause I read the RainKhan interview! Then I read Rekruls interview too. And I remembered how it's all about staying cool and composed. And I remembered that my fellow old school BW players were killing the poker scene. And I remembered that I can do it too.

So I hopped back onto NL50 with my $1,100 BR figuring I could lose 2 more buyins before moving back down, and just played my A game. I hit KK vs AA right away and KK overpair vs a set that I couldn't get myself away from, but then it was all glory as I cruised to a 6.5 buyin win for the session. Hit a new peak of $1,425!! Feels good, especially since I was just on my worst downswing ever.

I'm going to continue moving up a limit when I hit 25 buyins and move down when I'm at 20 buyins. I just need that extra security cause I'm a nit at heart.

And now I'm solidly into NL50! Glad to be here. It's definitely no harder than NL25. Dunno why I was so worried about it. Of course if I drop to $1,000 I'll go back down to NL25, but I've got a nice cushion now.

Graph and PT ss time

http://www.smiteam.net/uploads/8963screenshot%2011-21--26-31.png

2 limits to go and then I can make enough money to actually buy something real with my poker winnings, hell even pay rent? MAYBE!

Doomswitched IMO by sTrAtO, November 20

So after posting the 1st half of november results, I went on my trip to continue the good run... BOOM, doomswitch's on.

I've lost $500 (10BI's) at NL50 in 5k hands... Losing with AK against AA in AKx flops, hitting a set and overpair winning the race with an overset on the river, etc etc... standard for a guy on a downswing I know ;(

I can't win at cash games no matter what I do... I reach the breakeven line and immediatly after that I lose a buyin and have to start over again...

Because of this, I went to play tournaments the whole day and took track of them in a notepad. Here are the results:

1--$5.50 Rebuy @ Stars = $37.77
Entry: $5.50
Rebuy: $5.00
Addon: $5.00
Total: $15.50
2--$5.50 6max @ Stars = $0
3**$16.50 5:30 @ Titan = $0
4--$11 6pm @ Stars = $19.03
5--$11 1R/1A @ Stars = $0
Entry: $11
Rebuy: $10
Addon: $10
Total: $31
6--$3.30 Rebuy @ Stars = $0
Entry $3.30
Rebuy $9.00
Addon $3.00
Total: $15.30
7--$27.50 7pm @ Stars = $0
8--$5.50 8pm @ Stars = $0
9--$9.90 @ Stars = $38.88
10--$11 11min lvls @ Stars = $0
11--$16.50 @ Stars = $0
12--$3.30 3shot @ Stars = $0

Money invested at:
Stars: $168.50
Titan: $16.50
Total: $185
Profits: $95.68
Money lost: $89.32

I'm gonna have another tournament day tomorrow If I can and give it a 2nd shot and hopefully get lucky in some of them. Today was a bad day.

EDIT: oh yeah, I bought PokerAce Hud and I just cant get it to work... It doesn't locate me on my preferred seat (even when I have picked them at the PAHUD preferred seating options)... When it locates me, it doesn't refresh the stats and some other random stuff... NICE

Poker since Saturday by KeyleK_uk, November 20

Basically been running reasonably well recently haven't got any complaints. Only just got back to update my hands into pokertracker, here's the results since Saturday:

http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/9283/handhistory3ak8.jpg

Playing mainly 5/10 and some 10/20 when soft enough since saturday. The 3/6 games haven't been particularly soft and a guy made some hands against me.

All in all it's been going pretty good though, haven't got as many hands in as I'd have liked but then again I'm happy with the money made.
Interesting hands:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/319049 - at the end of the short handed game I was playing, same guy who won this hand:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/319051 - Not too far into the session, I've won a good few reraised and 2nd barralled pots to build up the stack to lose here.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/319054 - Hand was against quite a fishy guy who I couldn't see having me beat here, although I really didn't think he was this weak here.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/319055 - lol, sometimes you don't even need skill with this much luck ! :O

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/319056 - Thought I had it the whole way until the river then was like pah grr gotta call. Yay ship shipppppppp

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/319057 - Not even sure what to say here, must've been a blow up because theres no good reason for his turn play. He's a regular from heads up 10/20 - 50/100 on the site

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/319060 - Can't believe I got paid off for a set here!

Anyway theres a bunch of other hands but unfortunately they're not really that interesting. I'll try to keep it up and try to come up with some interesting hands later on.

Here's un updated list of all my hands since I started playing cash on Ongame from the 4th November.

http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/962/handhistory4bq8.jpg

Good luck everyone, my next post should be with some hand analysis!

God is dead and he died in 1988 by DustySwedeDude, November 20

So I've read a lot of Robert A. Heinlein books and I've found him to be a really wise man. I pretty much stole all of my moral values from his books. Here's a few quotes from those which I like a lot.

"Now let me get something straight: you are not in my debt. You can't be. Impossible — because I never do anything I don't want to do. Nor does anyone, but in my case I am always aware of it."

"Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own"

"Jealousy is a disease, love is a healthy condition. The immature mind often mistakes one for the other, or assumes that the greater the love, the greater the jealousy — in fact, they are almost incompatible; one emotion hardly leaves room for the other."

"Who said I was wise? I'm a professional bad example. You can learn a lot by watching me. Or listening to me. Either one."

"I will accept the rules that you feel necessary to your freedom. I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do."

Also, I can't get PT to work right now but I'm pretty sure I'm past 10k for the month, yea!

Tournament players unite! by locoo, November 20

Its time

I plan to become a full time tournament player. At least until I play the live EPT event I won the sat on, which is probably gonna take place on february~. I really wanna focus entirely on winning it since I feel that this is a super big oportunity handed to me and I dont mean to waste it.

Do you tournament players think I should 100% subscribe to PXFactor or nah? where should I start playing? what buy in? Definetly pokerstars I guess... Should I try any other sites too? I can deposit in a lot of sites if needed. Also how much should I deposit and whats a good buy-in rule for a newb like me? etc...

I could say my br is super overolled for NL400, and some could say its very well rolled even for NL1k especially thanks to rakeback/bonuses, etc, but Im very new to tournaments, so I should start from lowest right? (well not like 1$, but like 10~30$ ones?)

I just wanna play freezeouts and never turbos, similar to an event structure. I also plan on playing the ECOOP events (At least the NL ones).

Last, but definetly not least, if anything, first

Any great tournament player willing to make a deal in which I give profit% and he teach me, hourly rates or whatever? Im 100% serious about this, and I promise I would devote to tournament play.

I sure as hell deliver, just ask D_Zoo , I focus entirely and try to always get the best of teaching, and always listen to what someone better than me has to say. And more importantly, I play a shitload.

So if you wanna make any kind of deal im up for it.

Thanks for reading through.

PS : I think Ill play the Kopenhagen event, but feel free to advice me, I can choose the Warsaw one, the German, or the Bahamas one too.

Getting sick an tired of Lp members talking shit 2 other Lp Members, you know who you people are.
Played a heads up game today I got stacked and only after that does the player say "Im Lp 2 you should leave" I said "I dont care" then the player replies " Its your money).

Recognizing some heroes by Daut, November 20

I'd like to recognize some heroes today who have accomplished some great things of late.

Blair, known as blur5f6 online just destroyed FTOPS event #1 for over 145k. I didnt know he was deep that night but luckily the FTP server crashed and they had to come back the next day and finish the tournament so I could watch him end lives the next night. here's a recent picture of blair with his tin foil grill:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/staff/Daut/blair.JPG

It's a good thing for live tourney players that randal flowers is only 19 cause he has been owning live tourneys this year. He chopped the turning stone 5k event in august for 105k and he just got 2nd in the canterbury main event up in minnesooooooooota. I always thought that famous bunny was the Canterbury bunny but really it was the cadbury bunny. Oh well i dont really care its close enough so i made randal into a bunny anyway:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/staff/Daut/randal.JPG

Adam "Roothlus" Levy has recently joined the Daut mig naz team of all stars and wasted no time making a WPT final table at niagara, which was probably the toughest FT in the history of the WPT with actionjeff, scott clements, jon little, barry greenstein and redsoxsox. Rooth is known for (up until recently) having a special ed avatar on stars and advocating personal hygiene to success in poker. gooooo roothlus

http://www.liquidpoker.net/staff/Daut/rooth.JPG

And finally, last but not least, mr michael "martine23" martin. Mike just got 2nd in the 5k euro amsterdam classic main event. He chopped the event for 450k euros which is a maaaaaaaassive score. Here's a picture of him before the final table looking unkempt:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/staff/Daut/martine_hair.jpg

After he knocks noah "exclusive" boeken out of the event ,he asks him for some fashion advice

http://www.liquidpoker.net/staff/Daut/martine_eurohelp.jpg

Also, it appears that mike is a little smokey jr. Check out the resemblance between mike and this old picture of smokey i have:

100 BI, restart again.. by NeillyJQ, November 20

After long consideration, I've decided the only way I can possibly become a poker player and maintain a winner over the long run is to play on 50 BI's @ NL2 til I hit $500, and play on 50 BI at NL10 as well.

I'll then pace myself at 100 BI from NL25 on up.

If I fail this time with poker then im finished completely, my discipline problems have bested me too much in the past, and I can't allow it to continue.

I'll also be lookin for the fishy HU games whenever I can, but not vs anyone that has talent.

GL everyone,
Ryan (DReaMe)

50NL and snow by iD.iNsky, November 20

So with the first snow fall it’s keeping people out of the bank so I have even less work than I normally do(So I decided to do a quick write up). I received a stake of 1k for 50NL and the deal was set for 60buyin, 30 each(1500/1500).
So I completed the stake on Friday and it’s a good feeling seeing I am this persons 1st successful stake out of like 10 staking attempts. Of course I ran well having a few 10+ buyin days and a 14buyin Omaha night, but I have also put in a ton of hands. I have been 8tabling for a minimum of 4 hours a day (I put in more hands in that last two and a half weeks then in any one month before). I averaged about 4 buyin’s a night which is running good but its nothing that is out of the ordinary on 50NL.
My bank roll is at 2500 right now and I think I might grind out 50NL for the rest of the month with a few stabs at 100NL. My goal is to have a solid bank roll for 100NL by the end of the month. That is all for now and I hope I can keep cruising thru the micro stakes for awhile. Thanks for reading

Later
-iNsky

I would also like to give thanks to all the people who offered to stake me, it was much appreciated.

3d card AA T_T by PplusAD, November 20

I installed UT3demo like 3 weeks ago or so.
somehow AA didnt work on it and i downloaded a tool to make it work ->

now AA doesnt work in any other games anymore and it still doesnt work in UT3

I was so used to playing older games in 1600x1200 4x AA 8 AF
( heroes5 , Ut2004, NFSMostWanted )
that i cant play games without AA anymore.
They just look like total crap.

This makes me realize the AntiAlising funktion that came into play probably around 2002-2003 ? was the greatest thing that ever happend to 3d graphic games so far .

hm i am trying to fix the problem
but i will reinstall my whole system if i cant make it work again.

Playing 3d games without AA = no thx

didnt realize how good AA is untill i lost it

EDIT :

played a little session inspired by Mezmerize video
I ve never played this LAG before !

normally i am about 21/18/3 for 6 max

http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/8633/vvqai6.jpg

this session was 35/29/6
I only 4 tabled so only 350 hands played in 1 h 15 minutes.

was fun.
I am not sure if tight ABC poker is more profitable for NL20 than LAG ABC poker
but i ll give it a try.
21/18/3 really bores me

GL ALL

Hand Advice please (Loco?) by Verbloten, November 20

Hi Guys,

Played a small session tonight. Again i am trying not to play weaktight (loco...).

Ended session 16/11/3.33 (6 max)

These two hands felt a little weaktight - but I'm not sure...

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/318783

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/318781

Would really like advice on those two hands.

Also - any chance I coulda got all the money in here? How did I play this? I think I played it fine - except maybe let him bluff the river?

The grind continues by T8Suited, November 20

A profitable afternoon session (+291 over 900 hands) was negated by an uneventful and discouraging late-night session (-124 over 1.1k hands)

Afternoon hands
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/318703 65c Regular villain played his KK too casually
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/318704 96s I felt horrible about this one coz my read (I put him on an overpair) was totally off
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/318706 84h When I called preflop I thought I was on the button.

Evening session. Would have been a better night if my monsters held up more frequently:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/318666 66 =/
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/318682 JT SB special annihilated
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/318683 TT A positive hand. In any event I wasn't going to call down 3 stiff bets.

And finally, my new laptop:
