Yo guys I'm here again with a meaningless blogpost. I just feel I am supposed to write something about past few days lol.
So I started to play tennis. I'm really good at it but just for fun, I don't feel like turning to be a professional. I play almost every day since I started, for a hour or two, and I feel really exhausted and tired, because I wasn't into a sport and now I play and play... well I have to do something with my body so I will keep playing almost every day...I should start to work out on some gym machine or smth...
Today in the morning we had a school trip for two days and I skipped it, basically I just don't want to go because our teacher is a "bigfatass" lady with bigger "trashtalkmouth" than Mike Matusow have, and the organization of that trip was also very bad..as far as I know few of my classmates also skipped it so maybe we could hang out for a beer tonight, if i won't be outside with a girl I am trying to date with, she is so cute and so cool, mmmh I just want her so much ^_^
Even I feel tired from Tennis I can say my mind is ready to play some poker so maybe I will make some small deposit to play nl2 and get bored of it in one day, or I will look out for some possible stake deal, for nl10 or so, anyone who will be interested just PM me, I'd be happy...
At the hend of this meaningless blog post I will add a picture of some random Asian girl because they are the prettiest :Q except some hot european blondes...
cashed out 8k already. going back to micro and play an insane number of hands starting tomorrow. looking for other stuff to do today and try to invest most of my roll to low yeilding but stable shit. stars is giving me moniez but the stress sometimes ain't worth it anymore. plus im thinking of being a prop player at a big local cardroom thats supposed to open next week. stars and poker will always be here anyway, im just trying to open other doors for me. im sad about it really that i need to do this to my beloved BR again, she's been good to me this year but i keep fucking her over lol. peace and hope you guys run well.
First of all I'd like to say, sadly, that it's a no go for wsop me for me.
I am in Brazil, my student visa for the states expired end of last year and I was trying to get a tourist visa. Problem is the interviews for tourist visas are booked up to september. I tried getting an emergency interview, ps even sent a letter to the american embassy, yet they did not accept it. Apparently winning 12,5k to play in the largest poker tournament in the world is not an 'emergency'.
Anyways, I think it's for the best. Fact is, I get to keep the money and 12,5k less in my pocket right now makes a big hole.
Now to topic title. I'd like to thank tomson from lp! Weeee.
Here's the deal, close to a year ago I decided to get a coaching session and who better than tomson, I thought. I really enjoy his insights in the hand discussions, definitely one of my fav players to read comments on. We ended up having one session and I think it went really great at the time.
Then this month, as I told in the previous blog, things have been going great in poker, both in cash and tournies. And I thought to myself, why not make it better by having someone analyze my game and help it go up more. So I spoke to Tomson, and he readily agreed to give me another lesson. Now, since things have been going good, I got lazy in making the video and left it aside.
Last few days I have been playing an unusually large amount of poker and you can guarantee that my length of play is directly correlated to losing sessions. Nothing motivates me better than trying to end even. Eventually if I play enough I start losing focus and making errors... yadayadayada (we have all been there, right?)
So saturday I had my 3rd losing day in the month, and it hurt because it was a deep losing day. I have been playing tons of 5/10 6max and hu. Started the day by losing AA vs KK aipf and AA vs AK aipf, was one of those days. After that, a few mistakes here and there and I am down a bunch of bi's.
I decided to make a video of me playing. It ended up 1:30 session due to connections problems in the end. But watching the vid was really good to get that 'outside' perspective. I learned about myself and a bit of my thinking process just by watching the video. Things like me over-worrying constantly about my table image and just some other details. In the end the thing I took most out of it is that I was not 100% focused and that deteriorated my play. Now a days I really think of sessions less in terms of time, but mostly in terms of quality. I much rather short sessions with personal great quality than long sessions with poor quality. And as time goes by I always forget that and slowly start building up the amount of time I play, amount of hands until I reach a peak (this weekend) and eventually it pops and things start going bad. It something that requires my constant attention as it seems to naturally occur.
This vid helped me see this 'crash' beforehand and I am immediately made proper adjustments, or so I think hehe. Today, after taking a nice break and being really fresh to play more, I started one of the best sessions I have had in a long time. Things almost seemed easy.
Thus, Tomson, before doing anything is in someways responsible for this! Thanks Tom ! Anyways, I plan to make a new video for him and get that lesson for I am thirsty for some hand discussions.
When im running bad i usually just keep playing and playing until i bust through. Unfortunately by doing so the last few days ive formed a couple bad habits and have tilted at times. I think more than anything i need to play a little less and relax. I want to clear this bonus on Stars though so we'll see how that goes.

Played 6,100 hands today. Im pretty sure thats my personal record. In the middle of it all i had a 8 buy-in downswing but still managed to come out ahead $60. Heres the gay graph and results:
changing ftp table background?by shaneomac, June 23
i changed the file to the picture i wanted, but when i did that it cut off the top seats in the fullring game. how do i effectively change the image to a paint image and still retain all the ftp table elements?
I need advice on what I should be playing. Atm im rolled for mtts up to $22/$26. I also have ~750 in W$. I am wondering what the best value mtts/sats are for my W$. Im looking for a plan on how to put my W$ to use to ultimately make my bankroll bigger, whether it be me winning a ME seat or whatever. Also, what would be the best way for me to play mtts within my bankroll, and also continue to build it via satellites and such? I dont know how much sense im making right now im pretty jacked on adderol and such but hopefully you get the idea.
Summary: Rolled for 22/26$ mtts, also have 750W$. Want to steadily increase bankroll via mtt sats as well as take shots at the bigger buyin mtts, safely.
Pretty blah week, running fairly bad spewing my fair share once I'm tilted. On the upside I've been stopping without doing any real damage to my bankroll which is always good. At the moment it seems no matter what my play is it has been wrong. Get it in top 2 guy runs out his draw, get it in with an over pair villian hit a set. Just variance but that doesn't make it any better, just understandable. Gonna keep at it and see where I can be by years end. On the upside I should be hearing back about that job sometime early this week and hopefully I will be getting a second interview. Guess only time will tell.
When you are having a doomswitch...
like...
1) losing top 2 pair all-in on the turn, losing to a 2 outer on the river by him catching a set.
2) losing top set all in on flop to catching turn/river one out for 4 of a kind
3) losing 4 of a kind to a straight flush caught on turn allin on flop
4) losing AA to 77 allin preflop, and him catching a 7
5) losing nut straight to nutflush on river
6) losing JJ on AJ4 flop to QQ by villian catching K10 on turn/river
You start to wonder if poker really is as skill involved as you thought. I thought I had an advantage in poker against my opponents, I thought I could win with a decent bb/100. I thought poker was not a pure gamble. I started to notice at NL5/NL10 villians shoving AQo UTG and folding when you make a normal sized raise 4xbb+1 with a premium hand PF. You wonder where has your edge gone?
My bankroll dropped from $275 down to $150.
So I quit for a few days, I quit playing for about a week after I lost 11 buyins. Of course not all of it was bad beats. I became tilted, I succumbed to open shoving PF with hands such as KQs, and then it hit me. What the fuck was I doing? I started to realize I could no longer play like this an think it was profitable. So I dropped back down to NL2 and I grinded for a little, I grinded for about 4 hours and ended up 4 buyins. I stopped playing 9 tables, and played 4 to re-evaluate my game and think about the hands I was playing and not playing roboitcally. This helped.
In the 4 hours I played today, I ran like shit. Not once did I get AA, KK or QQ. Instead, I got AQo, 44, QJo, and I just outplayed my opponents postflop. When they showed they were weak, I bet and they folded. When they showed they were strong, I check/folded. I did get into one risky spot with AJ on AK5 rainbow board, He had A10 though so I was lucky, but then again, why call with A10o from out of position against me?
Good luck everyone at the tables. There is an abandoned prison by my house, so I might go out later this week and take some pictures of it.
Havent been running that good, but if I put in the hours it'll change, so no worries. Other than that, pinbaLL is coming down to my place to chill, play poker, drink some beer and so forth!
Now I got to clean the house.
OH I got this sick story of a guy who has been stalking me (sending me creapy text messages) and calling me, I finally found out who it is. So that update will come later on!
The total for NLHE is -$1586. Total for PLO is $1590. There's $100 or so in PLO RB that didn't get included because Poker Grapher doesn't include an RB option. I'm pretty stoked right now. Here's some pretty pictures:
