Sup guys, im back on the grind, feelin pretty good about life.. Going to all the doc visits with my dad and talking with some friends on vent has really opened up my eyes a bit more and made me realize how cool pretty much everything is.. I duno if ive been getting dummer or something recently but i totally cant spell anymore (not that i could very well b4)
Anyway im trying to get my self to play more so im open to action for a prop bet.
The bet would be, i have to play 60K+ hands in the month of sept, (i played 1.1K yesterday.) I cant play more then 6 tables of 6max or 9 tables of FR at once, i have to stay at nl25 or above, i will normally stay at nl50 but sometimes i get tilted and move down.
most hands ive ever played in one month was 45K and that was 16 tabling, so this is gonna b a challenge for me.
Im offering 3:1 odds, so if you put up 100$ and i loose i will pay you 300$. I will book up to 1K in bets, cuz i cant afford lose more then 3K lol.
Normal no funny business stuff applies, im just trying to get a little more motivation to get on the grind, if no one wants action then thats fine with me.
Other then that, i made a nl50 FR video, its about 30 mins long.. The idea was to go over alot of 3betting and opening up your game.. I played the session pretty lag but it was mostly against fish so its kinda odd, cuz id say it was prolly better to just play tight in that game and value town ppl.. but im gonna post it anyway, hope you guys like it, i plan on making another one today hopefully and just make that pt 2 of the segment.. i wont be making a 6max video, ive decided there are just way 2 many other ppl that would b alot better at a video like that, i know FR so much better then i know 6max.. i just play 6max pretty standard and i even still get in some silly spots where im a bit lost, so i dont feel like im a good person make a vid.
oh also just snapped a pic of my current setup, triple 24's and a 21 on the wall for audio visuals, nothing else 2 special.

I went and saw a doctor today that specializes in hormone and vitamin levels in your blood. She said only shes only tested 2 people that actually got enough Vitamin D in their day 2 day life.. Im gonna start taking it, id advise u ppls 2 do the same.

We went to the hospital today, left home at like 4am.. i ended up drinking almost all night, started the drive to the hospital at 4:30, so i just chose not to sleep.. sobered up and listened to some music most of the night then headed out. Got here, my dad was more scared then ive ever seen him.. while he was off in surgery i took a few naps in the waiting room and that was good.. About 4 hours after he left we got the phone call saying they believe they removed 100% of the tumor and there were no complications with the surgery, everything went totally as planned. As im typing this he is coming out of his anesthesia and i dont think he knows that they were able to remove all of it yet.. So i cant wait to go in with my family and give him the news. We are very excited because they all told us they wouldnt even try and get 100% of it because of its abnormally large size.. But they did and were all very happy..
First off let me say thanks to all of you for your comments and help out, it feels good to know ppl care and that this site is capable of being serious at serious times..
When i started with my blog on here a few years ago it was all just for me, i wrote to help my self keep track of poker and results.
Not to long after that i got caught up in writing for the community, i loved writing and sharing my poker/life experiences with everyone and kinda show that you dont have to be a 5/10+ baller to have some fun with poker.. But that lead to me just writing for everyone else and not my self, not that that is a problem, i just feel like at times now that if i dont have any crazy content i just shouldnt write, and thats not the idea.. So for a while my blog is gonna be about my life now, and just writing for my self, and i hope any readers still enjoy it.
My Dad just started a blog about his illness and was telling me how much just writing things down really helped him process things and have a better understanding on the situation. Right now thats not a terrible idea for me, and thats what started this change in blogging momentum.
Right now i feel like Raszi alot with the sleeping problems, anyone thats on facebook knows that guy has some serious insomnia problems.. Last night i went to sleep for about 4 hours then had to drive my dad and mom to OHSU hospital for a meeting with a pituitary specialist and then go to a pre-op meeting. After being in vegas for so long and having 7 other room mates, ive gotten used to the gogogo life style, i cant sit still anymore, im always fucking figgiting around thinking about how i could entertain my self, checking out shit on my phone, wondering if i shoulda brought my laptop so i could session.. i just couldnt fucking handle shit.. i didnt have much sleep and we showed up 1 hour for the first appointment and then it was pushed back another hour, so i ended up in a fucking waiting room for 2 hours with abs nothing to do.. i didnt realize how bad i am at just chilling out.
My Dad through all of this has been pretty solid, my moms a wreck, she isnt good with stress already, she tends to over react when anything endangers anything.. shes the kinda mom that will try and talk you outa driving somewhere cuz there is a little frost on the ground and she thinks the roads are icey and your gonna slide into a firey death.. Anyway, she is physically sick from all of this shit going on, any time my dad isnt looking she falls apart and start crying.. something else that also doesnt help is the city that this hospital is in (Portland, OR) for some reason stresses the shit outa her.. it is a very stressfull city, its built horribly and the streets are all set up in the dumbest way ever... Anyway i keep getting side tracked..
She hasnt been doing well, and im afraid that something serious could happen to her if my dad doesnt get well soon.. Stress is just such a fucking killer, i cant stand seeing both my parents fucking broken in one way or another with nothing i can really do except keep calm and not get mad lol.
I feel pretty raged up some times, ive been really good at personal life and in poker with not tilting, but like random people i dont know r srsly in danger, i think i feel very protective right now of my parents and its making me want to just kill anything that gets near or is rude or anything of that nature.
So as far as my dads updates, im not sure what all i included in the blog post before, but its been confirmed that his Pituitary Gland is very damaged because of a very large tumor that has grown in the space between the gland and the optic nerve. All his hormones will need to be managed with pills. There is only one thing that the pituitary gland produces that you cant live without, its called cortisol, so without his pill daily for that, it could be fatal and thats kinda freaked him out a bit.. The doctor today basically got us ready for the worst case scenario and said that we really shouldnt hope for anything to work any better then it does now because of the extensive damage.
That really hit home for my dad, for the firs time he actually started getting scared, and scared to go into surgery.. i mean it is brain surgery, but at the same time its not really as complicated.. We have one of the best surgeons in the country doing his operation so we ran good there and that really helps the percentages on all things like healing times and success rates of total tumor removal..
Right now nothing is for sure, we will find out on monday after his surgery how everything went and how much of the tumor was able to be removed.
The hospital is about an hour drive from our house, my mom doesnt drive on freeways so they really need my help now.. We booked a hotel very close to the hospital to stay in while my dad is in post-op at the hospital, which is supposed to be anywhere from 2 to 5 days, 2 if the surgery goes will and 5 max if its a fail. So tomorrow morning (well today actually but w/e) im gonna go pick up my aunt from the airport (another hour drive each way) and bring her back here, shes just hanging out to help chill out my mom and do w/e she can i guess.. shes gonna b pretty worthless in this situation but she wanted to help out so no one was gonna say no.
After that, monday at 5am we check my dad into the hospital and he will start his surgery shortly after that and ill stay the 2+ days up in portland until we can all go home one happy family again.
I realize this was a really long post, but if anyone made it through the whole thing, thanks for reading, it helps to be able to share with some people and get everything out.
Pokers been going great, my social life in this town is shit, i really need to find a place where rush lives, all the people around here use me cuz i have money and am always down to party and i have my own house.. I really like staying at rush's place, he lives with a LP'r that doesnt really ever post on the forms but is a constant reader, anyway his name is sam, they have both been really cool with letting me crash at their pad cuz my house is 2 fuckin boring.

Had some bad news on the family front.. My dad hasnt been well for a while and was feeling really tired and not really knowing why..
After alot of doctors visits and stuff they finally did a MRI and unfortunately they found a tumor pressing up against his pituitary gland and the optic nerve.. The tumor is about 4cm in diameter and is pressing on the pituitary gland which is about the size of a pea. This is causing him to have some problems, hes always had vision problems so they might get cleared up, but now hes having hormone imbalance problems so he needs to be operated on pretty soon.
This friday we are going to portland OR to have another meeting and do pre-op stuff, then we will come home for the weekend and return on monday when he will have his first (and hopefully last) operation. From what ive read, its very rare to have a tumor in this location be cancerous, so thats a good thing.. But the size of the tumor is a little scary, if it were smaller then the success rate of total removal is much higher, but its huge so were not sure..
Anyway thats whats been on my mind alot lately, i havent told many people because i dont wanna be babied around and have people feel sorry for me all the time.
Anyway i go up on monday and will have a hotel room there and be there from 3 to 5 days.. My family has lost a decent chunk of money before insurance will take over all the payments, and i think my dad is going to lose about a month off work in a very key season. Which all sucks pretty hard.
Im sure ill be playing alot of poker next week tho because ill have nothing else to do besides sit in a hotel room, ive still been having good results just playing some full ring games..
Where i need help.. my parents have asked me to set up a blog for him so instead of mass emailing the shit outa everyone, we can just link them to the blog.
The only blog ive ever had is on this site, so if anyone knows where a good place to setup a decent blog is, that would be alot of help. Something that you could theme would be nice also.
So i havent been up 2 much lately, ive been going between my home and rush's place in eugene alot.. Rush lives about a hour away from me and its a college town so theres just alot more ppl around 2 do shit with, and theres a poker room that i hope to be playing at more in the next week..
My city has been pretty bad, i know quite a few ppl here but everyones fucking busy working and shit and i cant ever get enough ppl to drink or chill or w/e, so its kinda tilting and drives me back to euegene alot.
Poker wise ive been playing nl25-nl100 FR recently, and playing some 45mans on FTP and doing well in everything. Ran a little bad at nl100 yesterday and thats prolly gonna keep me away for a bit but the games r so sick soft i cant wait till im properly rolled to play there again.
So the funny story, ive been back home for like 2 days and i get back and my computer is acting all wacky, the mouse is like acting up and it wont let me click on anything and sometimes it has the middle button clicked down, so i have to click the middle button b4 i can keep clicking.. it was REALLY fucking with my pokering and i couldnt figure out what it was, i figured it was a broken mouse so i swapped out mouses and it kept happening..
So i thought i had a trojan virus (one that lets ppl control my computer remotely) so i start running around geting virus protection n shit and installing stuff for a scan, and it keeps up.. then i was sitting in my bed and it kept clicking and fucking up the movie i was watching, and i was just like tilting and i rememberd i had a wireless mouse at one time so i started looking for it to c if it could b the problem, i found it pinned between the bed and the wall and constantly clicking on the middel button lol! Every time the connection made it through back to my computer it would click down and fuck with me lol.
So i didnt have any viruses and its kinda fixed up... my new setup is a cube of monitors, i have 3 24in monitors and a 21 , and two are stacked on the other two, i dont realy like it that much, the 24's r all good but the 21 on the 24 on the top right of the cube is kinda tilting me and i dont really need it to much so im gonna take it off. Ive been playing with tables cascaded most of the time anyway.
My goals for the next month are to just move up stakes pretty quiclky in cash and mtts and just keep surviving.. ive been seeing capaneo at nl50 alot recently and thats got me pretty worried if someone like him fell so far this shit isnt getting any easier..
Anyway tomorrow i plan on going to see the movie "funny people" then getting trashed with some youngins and then rolling out to eugene.
oh one more kinda funny story, i was in eugene with yomer and rush and some friends and we did some patrone shots, i did a few 2 many, i was at a dive bar at about 1am and playing some pool, some dudes challenged me to a game, it was 5 dudes and they bet amongst them selves, i wasnt gonna bet with um, anyway right off the bat i ran off like 5 balls and had a huge lead then the guys betting against me started fucking with me, talking shit, fuckin with the rules, just being bitches, then i told um i was quitting, they said they would stop, then one of their crew came up and in my ear so no one could hear he says "you need to get the fuck outa here" and i was like wtf r u guys serious? And they keep talking shit, so with 2 balls left, 1 ball and the 8 ball, i chuck the eue and just walk out and tell um to go fuck them selves, but i made sure the bar tender was watching my back, on my way out i hear um talking about going after me to beat me up, so i get outa the bar, check my back and run like hell...
the actually funny part of the story to me, so after that i roll out to a girls house thats a friend of mine and im blacked out and for sure crossing some "friend" lines and i guess we were play fighting or something and she pushed me and i fell over the bed and hit my head on the wall.. i didnt remember this but i woke up with a killer hang over and 2 bumps on my head that were scabbed over from bleeding earlier that night lol.. i normally try not to drink to much hard-a cuz this shit always happens to me.. but w/e its a good reminder to stay in check.

2 nights ago we were going to our fav sushi place down the street from our house and i park next to a sick new Audi R8, if u duno it looks like this.
So anyway, we pull up and i think like "who the fuck parked a 150K car here?" there is a gelato place next door and i figured some rich dude parked it there and went to get ice cream for him and his wife or something... So we go into sushi and its outa my mind and we sit down and start eating like always. After were about 30 mins into the meal the subject of black people playing poker in the south comes up, and i mentioned how there aren't very many minority's in the north west where im from, and so on and so forth, then just as bob is telling us a story about the whitest black guy hes ever met and joking about this guy (not in a really racist way, just like funny for anyone way).. anyway just as hes mid sentence a HUGE black dude walks right behind him on the way out, its a small resturant.. the guy doesnt stop or say anything, but we were pretty sure he heard.. so the dude walks out and we start giggling abit, and i say something like "ehh w/e if shit went down at least we got nolan here" then Doomer looks at us totally stunned looking and is like "that was rampage!" were like what the fuck? Hes like "that was fucking rampage jackson"...
im like OHHH ok thats whos driving the R8, he jumps in the R8 and i start laughing again realizing how close bob just was to death, rampage coulda just bonked him and ez KO.
My vegas life has been pretty laid back mostly, we went to Mesa grill with everyone and had a really good meal, i snapped off a few pics.
Yesterday we had a good pool session b4 we went to Caesars palace to go to a diff dinner place.

So after that we all went to Caesars to go to this crazy French restaurant called Guy Savoy, i didnt plan on going because i deff couldnt afford to have a meal there, so i went to the forum shops and did some shopping then hit up the 1/3NL table and won a couple bbs there, then headed off to meet them at dinner about a hour 20 mins into it, when i got there they were on their 4th or 5th course on a 10 course meal, everyone was having a glass of wine with each course, so about 1 more course after i got there, timdawg was too drunk / full to eat anymore so i took over his eating duties. Then the resturant guy came up and said he was freerolling me on drinks and the rest of the courses, so that was like 300$ worth of free food, which was pretty sick.

So after the meal is dealt the guys ran out a credit card roulette flip, the bill was 4K, so thats deff the biggest bill flip ive ever seen for only 6 people, i mean last year at craft it was 4K and we had like 13 people.. Anyway the flip ran out and timdawg lost, which sucked cuz he was the most -ev to flip anyway, he got snap tilted and went home to go to sleep after that.. Tim was pretty tilted and woke up early this morning to grind back his dinner losses, hes already up 6.4 K at 2/4 today lol..
In poker news, my live game is going really well, im playing very well and getting used to using live reads alot more. Im going to be playing in the main event, Mezmerizeplz has some of my action and Peachykeen has some too.. I still need to register, but when i do im pretty sure im gonna sign with pokerstars and take their deal.
