David can you give us a preview of how the new software/skin update will look like, that was one of my big reasons for not playing on merge, too tilted by client.

I would if I could but then I'd be in uber trouble, but lets say, as a former exec of PS, I give it my seal of approval from what I saw, but i did not see all the functionality in play, so to be conservative, it should be at least as good as PS was 3 years ago if that helps.

Ok, so I want to try this thing out and have a question:

A "skin" on the merge network just means that the room names and promotion deals are only for that particular room, but all the skins actually share the same player pool on the merge network?

to live the dream you gotta play the game

Yes, that is exactly that, of course all skins 'should' vary in their VIP rewards and promotions, but some sites just opt in for doing just want the network does. But the player pool is all shared.

Cheers,
David

hey david,

i stumbled a blog about the risks of playing at a poker site that still allows US players.

http://www.quantitativepoker.com/2011...ot-to-play-optimal-game.html?spref=tw

i was wondering what's your opinion on this. i was planning on putting some money on merge to play 200nl.

thanks.

I play 9-13 tables comfortably on the skin

Dvo - i know tons of players are grinding nl100 and mtts on merge skins, cashouts are a tad slow but still good from what I hear.

Keep your BR at a certain amount, cashout some profits each couple days playing it safe. theres fees on most cashouts but s'fine imo, atleast we can still play some places and build some rolls after the DOJ bitchslap

i love the merge software. 12 tables is so fast and pretty

anyone think it is a leak that i only use the 1/2 2/3 3/4 pot buttons and basically nothing else or the 2x i guess but i bet now with buttons only unless i gotta overbet

I played yesterday for the first time since black friday and DAMN did it feel good. I was just 4 tabling 10PLO for some fun but wow did i really miss poker. I love the chat boxes that pop up, it lets me do things like "Im with STUPID --->"

Most of the issues have already been mentioned and i hope the new layout will be sweet and fix them all.

My 3 main issues are:

1. Really hard to tell who the action is on
2. Really hard to tell how much was bet
3. Really hard to tell who is still in the hand, the cards do not stand out enough and as far as I can tell I cant change the color from that brick red?

Obv it just takes time to get used to a new site so overall im super pleased w/ Hero poker.

One thing that I find annoying is that for some sessions actual win/loss does not match holdem manager reported win/loss. Normally it's small, just a few dollars. But today is was exactly a buyin. Seems like HEM is missing some hands?

Nitting it up since 2006
