meh, am I only one that dislikes the fact that action is going way too fast?

Yeah, I feel the speed of the episodes... I mean, Ned is already "crippled" by the fifth episode. But then again, this is an HBo production and seasons range from 10-14 episodes at best... Hopefully next season we will get 14 seasons for a slower but more meaningful pace.

things are going fast indeed. But if it was slowed down, then it would be hard for the tv show to be any different from the book, and the tv show wouldn't have any originality to it. This is both good and bad i guess. I didn't really like the added scenes too much, but nevertheless another good episode even though it didn't have the wall or dothraki in it.

The first season is 10 episodes. The second one is longer (I forgot how long). My book is 800 pages and they do about 80 pages an episode so it seems well paced.

However, a couple things threw me for a fucking loop. Did I skip a few chapters where Renly was being fucked by Loras? WTF? What kind of shit is this? And I thought Lysa (Catelyn's sister) was supposed to be a chubby bitch. Other than that, I loved this episode. I thought the take of how Ned got his leg fucked up was better than the book's version.

The action's fast paced but they're executing it well, given their constraints. I agree that the tourney could've been a little more drawn out, but it would've cost them on the rest of the plot. Only reason I wanted more with the tourney was because the significance of Loras and his reputation as this paragon of chivalry and knighthood as well as the Hound's participation aren't that well-established before the tourney's already over. IIRC, Jaime gets defeated in this tourney as well and that joust would've been sick to watch.

and any thoughts on the guy playing Jamie Lannister character? i havenbt read the book, but if he is a total dickwad in the book then this guy seems awesome for the role. obv my fav character next to the IMP

^ yeah... the imp is by far the best character i've seen in the series.

After rubbing one out, I came to the conclusion that the succulent nipple that the young boy had his lips gently around was probably prosthetic. It looked too perfect.

Yeah, in the book Jaime Lannister is a big douche. The guy playing him is perfect. He looks exactly like how I pictured him.

And +1 to the imp. Pro actor is pro.

so far my favorite characters is Tyrion the Imp and John Snow
Jaime is a huge dick and my least favorite character.
