I am interested
I am an 18 yo University student from the United States, have a background in Warcraft 3, am analytical and determined, and have people that could vouch for my accountability. I would be happy to reveal more personal details and background via msn, skype, pm, or irc.

EDIT: When I say people I mean ex clan BAD people :D, people you would know either first or second hand.

Well if the student doesn't work out, he can just lead them to the forest and run. With the huge number of poisonous, well everything, in Australia, it shouldn't take long for the person to be taken down, then gobbled up by some huge insect.

Seriously, Australia has way too many creepy animals

lol im sure ur kidding but i mean, there's probably the same number of bear fatalities in america. to be honest, im scared of rattlesnakes and bears if i ever visit USA

(I was told to post this PM here)

Im interested in your coaching, but I've got a few questions I hope you can answer.

How long will your students have to live in Australia for?
Until they complete the 300k contract

Will you be coaching your students individually or in a group?
Im looking to take on 3-4 students.

Will you be paying your students monthly?
Yes

Will you be coaching FR, 6max or both?
FR, my lifetime 4mil hands at fr im a 2.6ptbb winner 6max im 0.3ptbb LOL.

Do you require your students to play a specific amount of hours per week?
yes

Anyways, I'm 22 years old from Canada, Ontario. For the past year I've been pretty much living off online poker. I play nl100 FR, im currently crushing it at 4.6bb/100 over the past 110k hands.

I've been wanting to move up to nl200 for awhile now but I withdrawal alot to pay my living expenses and im not very good at taking shots at the next level.

Here's my PTR, it doesn't track my results 100%.

U seem prospective student keep in touch

wobbly,
I'm definitely interested in the coaching. i'll even move to Australia next month. I play through 200nl, but mostly 100. I got 3 months of coaching from D_Zoo from April through July. Feel free to ask him anything about me. I beat 25nl and 50nl for 5ptbb and 100nl for 4ptbb. PM me your Skype/MSN or whatever and I'd be more than happy to talk further about the coaching.

I was kinda interested in this but not sure it's the best move right now for me considering the cost/benefit of everything involved.

A couple questions:
-Where is this place you're going to let your students rent out? An idea of the living conditions seems like it'd be pretty important for someone deciding to pack up and go to another country for what will probably be 2+yrs, which brings me to the legal agreement...

-Obviously you're going to make the students sign something, but is that going to be it? I knew a guy who entered a coaching/profitshare agreement and needed to provide his SSN...but it occurred to me there's no way the coach was organized enough to go somewhere and get a background check done (if only to verify the SSN...not even sure if an average joe and go can do that kind of thing). Basically what I'm asking is what kind of legal precautions are you gonna take to make sure you're not wasting your time? 2+yrs and 300k is a long time, and I'm not sure a lot of the guys that are gonna be snapping up your deal fully understand the amount of time/effort they'll need to commit. Just thinking a bit ahead b/c staking in general is pretty stressful and you might be better off just grinding and maybe mentoring a really close personal/online friend that you're sure there won't be trust/honesty issues about a deal like this.

-The coaching. You mentioned like 2-3 guys. The chief concern for the student is obviously that the coach be not someone who can only play, but can teach as well. Usually I see this kind of offer come up with a well known coach who has a lot of students, with most of the people taking the offer being past students instead of new ones. Could you go more into detail on your past experience coaching? Maybe an outline of your methods and reasons why you're a good coach? I'm trying to phrase this so it doesn't sound douchy, but if the coach can't teach well and the student doesn't learn much and just has to grind out his 300k, (kinda like what defrag was getting at), it ends up being really time consuming and unprofitable for all parties involved (since you'd make more just playing).

For what it's worth, I'm still v interested in visiting sydney for a spell. Is there any chance I can just pay rent and live in this place you're setting up, for example if you don't fill up with 4 students. I cook, and clean from time to time. =p

If you do hourly coaching, I'd be interested in that as well.

PS: Here's an example with pics/information that might help you "market" this better. Adding to the whole "pics" question.

edit:
Kind of a side thought. Why don't you just write up a draft to the contract for prospective students to look at? Doesn't have to be public, but it makes a lot of sense. Like, when you say there will be a min. hours requirement, it'd be useful for me to know how many hours that is.

bleh would be all over this a couple years ago.

is this going to be an ongoing thing? would potentially be interested starting around spring next year depending on how some other (non-poker) life things turn out.

Are you talking about 50 percent of table profits or 50 percent of total profits(inc rakeback)?
