I disagree. The cream of the crop who did the transition to poker were all successful. The really good ones who didn't do well in poker didn't put nearly the efforts necessary into it and that is all. I don't know of any really talented SC player who gave poker a real try and failed.

You can select all the warp gates with W, no need to use a number, but I also just hotkey all my buildings to 3 so you can cb faster and just tab thru all the buildings.But def get used to using W when you have warpgates, but it will only select them and not regular gates.

I see. Well, my old SC habits die slow, as I hated War3 I'm not a fan of tabbing at all. I'd rather form 2 groups of my units if I had 2 with special abilities (sentry / HT comes to mind).

Anyway, after finally understanding a few things about this game I went like 15-5 in my last games and got promoted to Platinum Div2.

I know division rankings are hardly relevant, but still...I'm pretty proud to be with such elite players

No they suck lol. Except for a midgame roach-hydra-muta switch / rotation, that can be fucking annoying if the Zerg knows how to play around with them.

Roach rushes blow 1 gate + forge + void ray rush rapes it into submission (you can also use your first void ray to defend vs the rush if you fuck up and let him break your ramp, it kills them moderately fast or forces them to run around and you get free hits). Otherwise IMHO a zerg is better off going ling -> FE -> Muta / hydra -> muta / hydra roach.

Someone tried going roach / corruptor vs me the other day which caught me off-guard, he raped my timing push due to corrupting my colossi Thankfully I killed a few drones earlier with my first few zealots (he rushed roaches without any defense on close positions) so I didn't get behind too much and could finish him later. It's an interesting strategy tho, P relies on a few key units wayy too often in this game so far. At least I do

Does anyone want to practice with a Silver level player? I'm definitely not good enough to hold my own against anyone who is probably in Platinum and I might still get rocked by someone in Gold but I'd like to try and play a lot of games so I can not suck so badly. Plus I don't know the BO and counters that well.

You forgot the biggest star in that division, around 20 rank or so, taking it easy, doing his thing but hes gonna be huge :o

zvp looks imbalanced or i use wrong builds with protoss. whenever i get to play zerg vs protoss it is just an easy win, just mass lings hidra and gg. When i get to play p vs z, i am quite clueless, i usually go zealots/storms/stalkers, but always lose anyway -..-

pvz is fucked up

basically if zerg goes roaches they should lose because immortal rush rapes it so fucking hard.

if zerg goes fast muta and nothing else they should prob lose cause you can go phoenix/zealot/sentry fast.

if zerg goes all hydra/ling colossus just rapes them so hard.

the best course of action for zerg is hydra/ling -> muta transition and its really tough to stop cause once you notice the transition he should have like 12 muta and you wont have much defense besides sentry and they can take advantage of your lack of mobility and pick off phoenix as you build them one at a time

curious about the upgrades each have and how the upgrades affect the fight

pvz seems to be quite well balanced actually right now. I'm having some really close games lately.

the main issue seems to be with the pvp where it is virtually impossible to stop the 3 warpgates rush with pylon in the guy's base unless you do the same build. i just read garimto's blog about it and couldn't agree more that pvp is screwed right now. smuft does it every single game and never loses.

also that sentries counters mutas bit is retarded, mutas are harass units with high mobility, they won't ever si there and 1v1 sentries or any unit for that matter. i bet you anything i could rape those 100 sentries with the 50 mutas, along with his entire econ line, and probably some tech buildings while he is trying to catch up with those slow ass ground units.
