I withdrew half of my roll and I'm going to try to get myself to grind nl100

Every fuckin session I've played has been nothing but adversity for the last 2-3 weeks loll

I'm super depressed/constantly upset and obviously this is horrible for poker and for the rest of my life.. which really doesn't even seem to exist atm, as my life is all poker-fail all the time lately. meh.. Dunno why I can't leave this horrible funk and mindset.

Probably at one of the lower points of the last 15 months..... really disappointed in myself, which compounds with everything.

So my roll is going to be split between ftp and gutshot poker now, and I'm going to have a measly and pathetic $2500-3000 on each site.. hopefully I can still win at nl100.

The most demoralizing downswings are the ones that come right after you started having huge success and moving up limits. You quickly went from NL100 to NL200 and a long shot of NL400 so I'm sure in your head you had marked yourself as a NL400 player. Then as the downswing continues and you realize that NL400 isn't a reality anymore and NL200 is slipping away and you're back to NL100 it can be really devastating. Why? Cause YOU made the mistake of labeling yourself as a NL400 player.

Take a break. A few days at least. That's the only thing you can do. Take at least 2 days where you don't think about poker at all, and then come back into poker very slowly and focus on studying first rather than playing.

How can I spend a month of my life playing nl50 .. I can't even bring myself to spend a month of my life playing nl100 for god's sake.

Nah I didn't think of myself as nl400 but surely nl200 level. Many of these guys play so fucking horrendous.. I swear to god. But yeah you're basically right.

i remember you saying you depend on your poker money right? i think for people at our level its really marginal to live off of that money and maybe if you didnt have to depend on it, it would take a lot of pressure off of your game.

Ok, you labeled yourself as NL200 player who takes NL400 shots, which sounds a lot "bigger" than "Struggling NL100 player" which is what you suddenly feel like, and that huge gap in your head makes you feel even worse than you need to.

I say all this cause it's basically what happened to me too - I finally moved to NL200 after a bunch of shots and cruised, started NL400 shots and then crashed to NL100 again. And I did the same overall thing in my head and when I realized what I was doing and got rid of it, I got back on track.

I hear you, yah you're pretty much right. I am tryin ofc.

I guess it isn't a totally unfamiliar feeling for other poker players.. most experience at some point.. just crushed after an extended period of being beat on..

thanks all.

This is why you're losing. Take a break, don't touch poker, don't think about poker. Learn to quit. You control poker, poker doesn't control you.

And you still haven't added me on msn

I don't know if this is true, but heard some talk about HoN having some potentially HUGE security flaws:

yeah it makes absolutely no sense for S2/hon admins/mods/staff to have access to user's passwords. i highly doubt this is what happened, there must have been some other way this guy hacked your account

Seriously try it. When I first tried this it was pleasantly refreshing, because I wasnt looking at it in terms of $$$, but more like in terms of BB's. So therefore I focused on my game, and being overrolled I had total confidence, and it felt really good to pwn a limit again.

bye now

Are you sure your rakeback isn't effected by it? Where exactly did you go to do this o.O

terrybunny19240   United States. Nov 05 2009 13:35. Posts 13829

google for Truly Free Poker Training, its really easy to set up/find that way, hooker

sorry freak slipped my mind ^^ good point.. I think I just gotta chill for a little bit then grind out 20k hands at a hopefully respectable winrate at nl100 and have $2k more to chill with (since I'm going to have a nice rb and bonus hopefully @ gutshot, so I will be getting some sick rakeback).

..

thanks tianyuan looking into this...
WOW EVERYONE WITH HON--WHATEVER PW U USED WITH THAT ACCOUNT IS COMPROMISED. If you use your HON password with any other logins anywhere on the internet, you need to change it.

Wow what an enormous pain in the ass..
