FTP limits hu bum-hunting

Just got this in email. What do you guys think, good or bad business decision by FTP?
As a poker/hu player, whats your take on this?

Due to increasing complaints of players occupying many tables alone, Full Tilt Poker will be introducing limitations on the number of heads-up cash games that a player can be sitting at while waiting for an opponent. Effective immediately, a player is permitted to wait at only one table for each betting level and game type, and at most four tables in total. For example, you may sit and wait for an opponent at $5-10 NL Hold'em, $5-10 PL Hold'em, $10-20 NL Hold'em, and $10-20 PL Hold'em, but you may not sit and wait at more than one table of any one type, and not more than four tables in total. The limitations only apply to the practice of occupying many tables while waiting. If you are actively playing at a heads-up table, you may then begin waiting at another table of the same type. There is no restriction on the number of tables you may play (other than the normal limitations on active games). This policy is intended to maintain the sportsmanlike conduct expected of all Full Tilt Poker players, as explained in the first point of the site terms: http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/site-terms We thank you for your cooperation on this necessary measure. The rake paid by HU players is almost irrelivant, if you look at HU tables between 36 and 510, there are 50+ open tables, but only 3-4 active ones what this will do (hopefully) is force people to play a larger range of opponents

its great imo. from my experience bumhunters are more fish then the bums.

I think it may perhaps dissuade grinders to play solely on FTP since they cant wait on several tables, or result in waiting on several sites. Although this might be the norm for some as is.

If theres no real serious repercussions in terms of profit, I hope stars does follow suit eventually. If nothing else, it'll make hu look at least semi active.

can someone explain to me exactly what bum hunting is? I think I have a loose idea but what an official definition.

They should also extend this restriction to 6-max & FR tables, heaps of regs bumhunt in the same manner, and some just occupy heaps to look cool or something? *cough* kiwikaki

their presence does not increase the HU action on FTP, now insread of 70 empty tables, there will only be 15

yeah i like this alot because no one ever fucking plays on FTP

Isnt the only reason ppl sit on more than 1 table is because other idiots do that too and they want the same spread as them? I mean whats the difference if a fish has to choose from 4 tables or 34 tables if there are only 4 players among them all ?

Well i bumhunted a bit for a while on stars NL100

U sit at like 4+ tables and will only play people who dont bi in full or u have never seen before
As soon as someone joins who u recognize or who BI full and has a Name like "4betLightGosu" u sit out
If u play someone unknown and realize he doesnt totally suck within the first 15 hands -> sit out
U only play when someone joiuns who doesnt bi full or apparently shows he has no clue after the first 15 hands

pretty profitable and easy money -> pretty annoying for all the good regs
some of the biggest winnerst at NL100 HU stars are all bumhunters ( like URanIDIOT or Cazmirodaza)

pretty common strategy is also to open a table and BI for only 60BB to get fish joining u
then after liek 10hands or so u fill up to 100bb directly after u lost a hand ( Makes opponent think u tilt rebuy)

bumhunting up to 100nl is ok. If too many people waiting i like to take note of who is bumhunting and who is not. When starting a session = sit down at every table of all the bumhunters up to max amount of tables = get talbes for urself eventually

By the way u are not getting popular by doing this :D

Worst case scenario they will leave the table and u get all the fish for urself
Best case scenario they will play u and be tilted :D

uhhh you need both... obviously you have to think a lot about what youre doing and about the game, but even if u do that you arent gonna get very good at poker by playing only microstakes while thinking really hard about what youre doing lol. as greenstein says, 'my biggest teachers are my opponents'

This is good stuff. What Prima does on the other hand is protecting bunhunters! I got banned from joining a bumhunitng regular table! This is ridiculous! I joined his table a few times he would always sit out and offend me in chat and threat that he will report me that im blocking his tables lol, was i thinking go ahead idiot. Today i cant join his table wtf, ridiculous.
Prima is actually full of bumhunters on HU. Very few regulars will play a game with a reg.
