WTF adz in a poker show? - Page 8

The whole point that Im trying to make is the same as what Naz is saying.

This IS bad for poker in general. And one guy is pushing the envelope portrating all poker players as slobs AGAIN.

IMO everyone who doesnt think playing poker and making money means you live your life like a slob should be at least mad at this.

Its like the black comunity in US. People like Dr. King and many others started to change the standard portrait of a black man. Trying to show the world that not all black men are gangsters and not all of the black girls are whores. Promoting that black people should goto school and get educated. Some black people also wear a suite and give out speeches about freedom.
Now we have this new black generation who IS painting all the blacks as gangsters and all the girls as bitches and trying to say that we shoot each other!! This is REALLY REALLY messed up. And this is what ADZ is doing here.

I dont %100 agree with what Cosby is saying btw. But he is trying to make the same point. Some people are just going way off. Thinking that whatever you do to make money is a smart thing and therefore is the right thing.

Never thought of this that way, mainly because i never judge people coz of the community they belong to race/etcetc.The main images of white people black people etc.etc. is one of the most retarded stuff the human has thought of and they are totally out of line.Every person counts for himself and is diffferent from any other.So what i mean is I know there are people that when u start speaking about someone black and they r like " OMG this nigger he s prolly a gangster he kills ppl etc etc. " without actually knowing the guy but those people are plainly retarded.So now indeed what i mean is One person shouldnt be able to change the view over a whole community ( they view us as degens already anyway and look at the Esfandiari and Laak show they dont set a good example either )

Of course he can do what he likes regardless of approval or disapproval but that isn't the point.
The point is that it is potentially damaging to individuals like capaneo who do wish to remain to a certain point dignified and respectable to the wider community but most importantly to those around him.

Of course there are some who will want to be viewed as ridiculous poker brats who are 'baller' and we shouldn't disregard that and nor has I think anyone tried to?

The idea is that it is possibly bad for poker and I don't understand why 'that shit is rediculous' since its an aspect of life for most of the people on this site.
One that can be affected by Adz's actions conveying what can be considered a negative image for poker.

note: I don't say it 'IS DEFINITELY' since whether or not it's a negative image remains everyone's own preference.

i dunno about being a "respectable" poker player. people only regard this industry and it's players for the MONEY it's famous players make. i mean, cmon, do you guys honestly think people are impressed with poker players? lol i must admit this life is one of the most rewarding and enjoyable, but if you want dignity and respect IRL , just go into business and build an empire. i personally think that among celebrities, poker players make less than most of that demographic, poker is only cool and respectable within the poker world, and nowhere else. people oblivious to poker and the scene couldnt care less who won the wsop, if it were not to be shown on tv and see the actual cash prize on the table.

lol @ comparing skilled card players to cops who actually contribute something very important to society, which is peace and order, of course public perception is very important to cops, actually they exist since people still have faith in them in a way, that's why they were put there in the first place.

How is it bad for poker in what his doing? I just dont see the arguement, who cares if people will think we are gamblers/degens who play poker for money. I dont see the point on why people are getting upset.
