Capaneo, although you are a poker player just like ADZ, how does HIS persona affect you personally? He gives poker a "bad" image? Alright, cool, but you shouldn't be affected by it. You can only control yourself, and yourself only. Why waste energy getting angry at some douchebag like ADZ?

Noone can judge what other people do with their lives.Its up to themselves. this is where the poker communities fail. its not mez' problem its everyones problem. if people can scam whoever with the only result 1 person disliking them it would be an easy world. until there exists a feeling of sticking up for others in cases like this people will continue to do whatever it takes to make an extra buck.

Well basically it will affect mylife since the image of a poker player will affect my life in some ways as well. Even though its VERY VERY far from how I act. But if you tell people that you are play poker and they see this show thats how immidiatly they view you.

Here's an example : A video of a cop using excessive force on a criminal is shown through the net and it's obvious the cop is a douchebag.

This shouldn't deter the GOOD cops from doing their job that they have been doing for their whole life. This one bad cop doesn't affect them whatsoever even though they are all part of law enforcement. If some citizens view all cops as assholes, that's THEIR problem, not the cops.

So again, why are you getting mad at this?

People care way too much about others' opinions! One should only care about the opionions of those who are around him. F.x., i don't care about what other ppl think about me unless they are my friends, family members and so on. And if i don't agree with their opinion, i don't care about it cause i know it is a wrong opinion. So, in the end you don't get tilted by shit comments at all and are happy. Why would u care what John from the neighbourhood thinks about you if u don't like him or have no real relationship w/ him. Just do what ya want and don't bother what stpid thoughts some stpid ppl have about you. You know it is not true and that is it.

I don't rly think that it will have any major influence on ppl's opinions. However, poker is not the same as the cop job cause it is like stg ppl don't know at all, lots of prejudices and almost all of them are 100% wrong. My mother still thinks i am playing roullete and that i am playing with ex-prisoners and drug-addicts, drug bosses at the casinos. Same with the mother of a friend (ex-prisoners suspected lol). Ppl are just set to live in a standard way, calmly and so on and everything out of that box is=dangerous/bad. The end. Z-z-z.

The cops of course because it affects them on the job.

Icelandic reality for example is getting such that cops get harassed relentlessly in hopes of them using excessive force that then goes on the internet in .2 seconds and everything explodes.
As a result, no one has any respect for cops and they "get a lot of shit".


note: cops in iceland don't have guns, so harassing them is actually possible without getting shot.

Adz is obv. a douche, but I think the theory of a show such as this is great, albeit it won't get made and even if it would, it won't get big.
There are a looooot of people that'd watch said show, want to aspire alike, fail, and flood the poker economy with easy money.

The general effect this might have on the view people has of poker players might be bad, but then again...the image people HAS of poker players IS bad.

Cap. you tell people your profession, they judge you, then you get to know them and they learn that you are neither a "baller with a grill in yo teeth" nor a "lucky gambling addict due to go broke".
So in my opinion peoples image on you're lifestyle/profession really shouldn't have a deep impact on you in any way, as said view is obviously built on misinformation, or at best, little information, that should be easily corrected, and un-needed to correct against those that matter to you...

Nazgul is spot on though about the community feeling - ADZ being a douche, should excactly affect everyone, just so people wont get away with scamming and douchebagging other people.

yea and you have huge groups of people hating on cops. that could ultimately endanger them in the most severe cases and make their lives harder at the very least.

hell when i see a cop i insta think "shit act normal so i don't get a ticket for breathing"

although i feel a lot of the hate towards cops is pretty fucking justified. even with my own personal experiences.

and i'd be fucking life tilted if i'm not already if i ever got associated with a guy like ADZ
