Feel like act 1 farming is the way to go now, can full clear act 1 in ~32-35 min with an average of 22.4 champ packs and can do this semi-afk because there is zero chance of me dying even with a glass cannon dh. Act 3 runs take me ~54-58 mins with an average of 14.7 champ packs (I skip the areas with fuckers that try to lick me) and I have to really play but will still die 1-2times during a run to a random spear I don't see while killing a large group for critting myself vs a damage reflect group. Small sample size of ~10games of each but so far RNG has been on my side with act 1, helps that I end up with 4-5extra inventories full of loot to counter balance the smaller ilvl 63 chance.

We have now sunk to a depth at which restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men.

The thing about diablo 2 is you didn't need the best items in the game to rape shit, + you kept on leveling as you found items. This is where diablo 3 fails, you need really good gear and the only reward is the ability grind for more gear faster while dying less.

Fail?

you guys complaining about the bidding LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

the game uses a basic system called PROXY BIDDING: you put the maximum you're willing to pay for the item into the box, and if its higher than what other people's maximum bid was, your bid is automatically raised to be slightly larger than their's.

If you enter a maximum bid lower than another person's, the bid it automatically raised to be silghtly larger than your last one. because the other person was willing to pay more.

~~~~~~~~~~
I think that taking out the "never actually hit maximum level" was an incredibly ignorant design decision that shows jay wilson (and whoever else was involved in it) really don't understand the game and likely didn't play very much diablo 2. always having that liiiiiittle bit of progress, even though you didn't find any item worth a shit, was very important to reducing the player's feeling that they were just wasting their time 98% of the time they were in game (and not finding good items).
Thoughts occurred to me:
1. Jay Wilson is the head..lead manager.. whatever, of the game, and he isn't called a "game designer" anymore. He's just a "game director".
2. Jay Wilson is probably considered a huge success within the company, along with the rest of his team, even though thus far ALL they have done is ride on the coat tails of Blizzard's name, Diablo's Legacy, and marketing.
They're going to be able to show, "look how profitable this diablo game was! jay wilson must be a genius. the RMAH system must of been executed brilliantly, look how much income we're making, yada yada yada".
my only hopes for getting Blizzard to step up their game in their future releases at this point are,
1. the business cocksuckers come up with some kind of metrics that actually reflect the length of time people play the game and
2. that enough of us pathetic gamers who can't do anything but sit here addicted to a sad, sad version of an online slot machine can at least manage to quit this shitty game and play a well-designed and inspired game.
I do know, at least via 5 or so of my personal friends, that a TON of casual gamers will not be feeling any excitement for the next Diablo, hopefully the facade of excitement their marketing department tries to create for the next game doesn't trick players into forgetting how pathetic this game was.
how god damn comical is it that before the release they were promoting the Lore/Storyline of the game.. the storyline and especially its delivery & execution have to be the weakest part of the game by 10000000 miles.
~~~~~~~~~~~

anyways, I'm quitting the game. as in I won't be playing it anymore. I will continue to milk the RMAH for a couple of dollars until the easy little niche I found dries up.

Might check it out again when the pvp patch comes out, but I'm hoping that there are other -- more worthy -- things taking my time up by then.

gg

I clear festering woods for usually 4 stack and then do warden then butcher. Agony lvl 2 gives 1-2 (giving the 5 stack) packs on my way to warden. Warden lvl gives another 2 and then agony lvl 3 gives 1-2, then do butcher. Whole run takes tops 15-20 minutes. Then maybe I'll do Sarkoth if he's there and sometimes crypts but usually I don't bother.

Get a heap of rares and usually a few ilvl 63 blues. I still switch to my MF gear but I can't say it makes much difference (314% MF with 5NV). It seems like the drop rate for ilvl 63 is much higher than 2% (if I recall that figure correctly).

Bots bidding? LOL There is no bots bidding. More like raise your max bid instead of min raising wtf

I agree this game is a complete POS. I'm glad I opened the hate and people like you followed with a way more concrete analysis on why it sucks so much ass. We can root for the next SC2 expansion and from there, maybe a new epic fps

"epic fps" is an oxymoron

hardly, the half life series surely qualifies as epic

just because modern day FPS is call of duty 1 2 3 4 5 6 78999999 and [derivative fps] 1 2 3 4 679799695 doesn't mean that all fps are like that

fall out 3+ are also played from a first person perspective by many ^^

Lol, so lets play a game where we all get the best loot after playing the game 200 hours.. Diablo has always been a grind, and making it easier to get better gear won't help anything. Then you'll be complain about how easy the game is and there is no challenge.

Who the fuck plays diablo for a challenge? Are you challenged? What's so challenging about a scripted event that repeats itself over and over (that will get easier and easier as you gear up)? I mean, maybe when PvP comes out, there can be some challenge. But, you are playing Diablo to feel godly, when you can plow through content with dumb ridic builds and carry people on your back. That's the point of ARPG. A little guy starting out weak and becoming a god. Who the fuck.. cares about..challenge... go play super meat boy if you want challenge in a video game. Or go win EVO.

Most of the people here who played the game enough have made more than that from the RMAH.

Plus, if you haven't bought the game already over 1 month after release, chances are you wouldn't have bought it anyway.

fuck I should just sell some of my Pokemon cards, if no one stakes that is what I will have to do - lostaccount

I'm still enjoying D3 :D. I think the game will be a lot better once 1.04 comes and they address the loot % drops.

Im still enjoying aswell , but its such a casual game for now.
make 4-5 runs act 3 get some drops on ah , nothing else to do logout xD
paid about 70 m for a decent natalias set a week ago and now they wanna nerf it
blizzard needs to change their policy cause kids who paid real money to get that stuff
will be raging if they nerf it ...

You had to have known nat's 4 piece was never gonna be left as is, so insanely op. I managed to make a fuck ton reselling those pieces when the popularity of them were raising.

I found this last night and put it on the AH willy nilly with no buyout and found out it's worth a ton O_O. I was happy with like a couple mil if it ever sold but now it's up really high on the AH with over a day left.

TheHuHu4 coming soon :)
