oh now theres the answer, i wasnt aware that it was gold only, yeah that pretty much fucks everything else, however even if the market is low on demand is even lower on supply, so if they open it the best decision would be to dominate that small market, doesnt matter if the market is small you would have a huge % of it.

the issue is the supply is massive, and the demand is nearly non-existent

You mean in hardcore? you have it backwards, the supply is very short and the demand is debatable, but as Palak pointed out since there is no RMAH that fucks up everything

No the supply is massive gold wise there are people sitting on over a billion since the first or two week of HC

keep in mind the itens and the economy on hc is completely different from softcore
i'll just post the same thing i posted on d2jsp:

"I'm selling my account with 5 level 60 hc characters(barb, wiz, wd, monk, dh) and 10 million gold.
My barb gear is worth around 20-25 million, just need a new weapon for act2 inferno clear (800 all res, 11k armor, 53k hp and 9k dps), my wiz gear is worth around 7-10 million, gearead for act1 inferno. Barb has 214 mf gear as well.
DH is just geared for hell.

AH 50 itens limit is almost full at 47, you can prob make a few more million selling that stuff.
My ingame stash is full upgrade and got lot of decent itens, including some backup gear for the barb and lots of crafting mats and gems from inferno.
BS and JC are maxed. BS can craft lvl 62 5 prop shields and JC can craft flawless star ame, flawless star ruby, perfect star ruby and flawless star topaz.

The account has a starcraft2 on it, with all the achievments from campaign

I still need 2 or 3 more days to finish lvl the monk and the wd to 60.

Bashiok from Blizzard has come forward to admit that, if you’re getting bored of Diablo III, it’s because there simply isn’t enough endgame content to keep people interested. And they’re sorry about that. “We recognize that the item hunt is just not enough for a long-term sustainable end-game,” he has said on the Blizzard forums. “There needs to be something else that keeps people engaged, and we know it’s not there right now.” He later added, “Hindsight is 20/20 I suppose, but we believed pre-release that the item hunt would be far more sustainable, and would work to be a proper end-game for quite a while. That didn’t turn out to be true, and we recognize that.”

Gold isnt supply it isnt an item its a currency, supply are items... and there supply of items in HC is very low

d3's biggest problem regarding end game content is that you can respec your characters.... so you don't have to make new ones to try new things.

To expand on that all gear is pretty much just X, and one set of gear will work for almost every skill set up in game. So not only do you never need to respec but you rarely if ever have to re-gear, unless you play DH and they nerf your current play style with each patch, altho some of us got ahead of the curve and jumped straight to crit/critdmg.

Thing with D2 is that the best items in the games were Uniques and runes (runewords) and you can usually find a high level unique once every... 10 runs (each run takes like 5 min).

In D3 I guess you could say it's more rewarding when you find a sick ass roll in a ilvl63 item but it just sucks for former D2 players because there will always be that comparison of grinding => reward. Seems like I've identified 1,000 rares and haven't found a single sellable item worth more than 500k gold since my last big sell.
