Busto... 50/100 fixed limit didnt win a single hand.. Im taking this one really hard too, I am quite emotional right now. Usually when i bust it doesnt bother me and I just shake it off and laugh about it. This time however I was perfectly poised for the first time in a long time to really make a lot of money and I was totally secure in my bankroll. Its so devestating to do something so stupid repeatedly and flush it all away. I just dont know what im gonna do with myself. This sucks so bad, I would really be so fucked if I didnt have a job. I simply dont know what I can do to conquer these demons I have... I am back to square one again the same place I was in fucking nov 2005... 500$ and 25nl. I continually waste my time and piss away my social life to make all this money and now I have the same or less than I did in fucking 2005. I dont know what to fucking do im at a total loss. I mean some obviously will say I should quit.. but why the fuck would I quit now? I have these skills i spent like 2.5 years developing and I can run my 500 up to fucking 10k in 2 months easy so quitting doesnt make sense. But then again i'll just fucking lose it in a 5 minute period at some bullshit highstakes. How the fuck can I possibly overcome this?

As bad as you may feel now, apparently that isn't bad enough to make you stay away from fixed limit. Read the last couple of your own blog posts again. You knew exactly what you needed to do, or in this case not do. Neilly has become the resident laughingstock here in your absence. Was your return to show you've outgrown that or did you come back to upstage him? If you can't learn self-control then your skills are worthless, no matter how long you've spent developing them.

I wonder what it's like to not have free will? You should try telling us about it sometime, it would be quite interesting.

Never had a problem with moving up on tilt (I play 18 hour sessions instead), but.....

http://www.overcards.com/wiki/moin.cgi/StakesGuard - StakesGuard, you can set it to block all tables of stakes X from view. Yeah I realize you can turn it off, but at least it will take more effort. It also has some built in features to prevent you from closing it, or so the text says

Hm.. Off-suite socks..

Serious pursuit of a career in poker is not for everyone you have proven time and time again that you lack the discipline it takes to truly succeed. I recommend you set up a system where you can play just for fun with minimal risk and potential for nice profit.

Example:
1. On the first of each month you deposit $500 U.S. or some other amount you can afford to lose.
2. You set yourself a BR milestone of 3k.
3. If you reach the milestone, you cash down to your original $500 and start again. Rinse, Repeat.

Play poker in your spare time for fun, and enjoy the nice little side profit it gives you and the benefit of the extra cash. You don't have to be a professional poker player and you can play in your spare time and still make a nice chunk of extra spending money with little risk. Part of your problem is that as your BR grows you get more excited and emotional because the money becomes more meaningful to you. The more meaningful the money the more susceptible you are to tilt as anything you lose will hurt more.

Examples:
1. You lose a 200BB deep all-in pot on a suck-out at 25NL and shrug it off, its just $100.
2. You lose the same 200BB pot at 200NL but now its $800 -- The amount tilts you as you feel that loss as much more meaningful. Hence you tilt and do something stupid like play fixed-limit high stakes.

i hate to say it, but this means you don't really know bankroll management. tilt is the point at which it actually becomes important.

why dont u keep most of ur poker bankroll out of your account? like on neteller or a seperate bank account or whatever.. and set deposit limits on top of that so that if you do go on sick tilt, which you really shouldn't, there'd be a limit to how much you can piss away

i actually agree it'd be kind of a waste to build up those skills and then not use them but yeah things will be very difficult for you if you have an innate desire to blow all your money in 5 mins at random points
