there have been a lot of pretentious math-intensive articles already, so don't do that. |

Dont go with math intensive articles imo. Not because it wont be something to learn from, but remember that a lot of people that read this magazine are mostly fish still (by pure population). So with that said, it would be nice to explore actual concepts or advices or just a discussion of something. IMO though, i'd stay away from severe math intensive discussion. |

you can discuss the game of mistakes, and the concept of trading mistakes in your decision-making system. so like, come up with an example of a hand where you clearly have two choices, and both of them clearly have pros and cons (in terms of EV mistakes), but illustrate the importance of understanding the magnitude of your mistakes.
for instance, say you have a strong but fourth or fifth-nut hand, and you are forced to either push or fold, and when pushing is a mistake it's a huge mistake, but when folding is a mistake it's not a huge mistake. however, the upside of pushing when it's NOT a mistake counters the downside of the no-showdown fold...so what's ACTUALLY best? |

I just thought of another idea, write about the process of learning and each crucial step. You can include liquidpoker as a "helper" because many of us "low stake" people learn from you pros by asking hand advice. Personally, I have seen the responses and they are very crucial each and everyones play. Ive been here at liquidpoker for only a little bit, but I have learned more in 2 weeks than I would have learned by myself in 6 months. |

You could write about how glamorous playing online 8 hours a day barely eating barely sleeping and losing hairs from stress is.
Actually i guess a lot of people wouldnt' mind hearing how you started out in poker (i know you've done this before but most readers won't know) and your CHANGES in though processes as you learnt more about the game.
that
or just diseducate the fish and make online poker attractive ty 0.o |

Well, one thing I think might be good insight for you Ryan is that during Day 1 of the event The__D__RY (biggest winner at the $1150 9-man turbos on PokerStars) was at my table and told me bluff magazine asked him to write an article as well about his SNG strategy, but he told me he refused it because it would be bad for his long term profits. Maybe this is worth consideration: I would choose a topic not related at all to how you really play at the tables (perhaps a more entertaining approach?). |
He has an article in this month's Bluff Mag about his SNG play.. weird. |
