Pettis did look awful at real weigh-in, but somehow Oliveria is way bigger than him and weighed in at 143, which is nutty cuz he misses weight half the time. Weird.

I don't think Pettis looked as bad as people make it out, we're just used to seeing him at 155 where he had a lil extra fat on him. It's not like he looked like McGregor or James Irvin.

Hey Im slinging mad volume and fat stackin benjies I dont got time for spellin n shit - skinny pete

Bellator 160 starts in 15 minutes on Spike TV. (7pm PST/10pm EST)

Benson Henderson vs. Patricio Freire (Lightweight)
Georgi Karakhanyan vs. Bubba Jenkins (Featherweight)
Saad Awad vs. Derek Anderson (Lightweight)
A.J. McKee vs. Cody Walker (Featherweight)

This is a really good card, even for Bellator.

If any of you are going to bet on these fights, I'd suggest:

Patricio 1u @ +230
Georgi .5u @ +145
Awad .5u @ +150

Georgi with the R1 knockout.

2 more dogs to go.

----------

Awad lost a close fight. Both he and Anderson fought below their usual level, so I'm not sure what to say about it. Maybe they were nervous, dunno.

Patricio is now +295.

----------

Patricio won Round 1, then he stopped the fight himself early in Round 2 because something went wrong with his foot, so he lost. It was the first time Patricio has ever been "stopped" in a fight.

He closed at +340.

Benson got SUPER lucky there, because he got taken down in Round 2 and was looking like he had no answer for the speed and movement of Patricio.

Talk about conspiracy theory...

i think pettis looked fine; supposedly he doesn't even cut rly at all fighting 155 (barboza was way bigger in there his last fight). prob walks at 160. this was his first real cut.

page looked hot imo, better than usual I thought. like a cute girl without makeup even tho she was prob wearing it. thought it was funny she doesn't even flex her arms at all at the end like she is trying to look girly and feminine rather than look a strong intimidating fighter. I'm sure shed rather do some modelling / TV and already has one foot in the door (and out of mma)

More I think about it more I think Condit is fucked.

Was originally slightly leaning Condit due to the 5 round massive cardio edge factor but now I'm leaning pretty strongly Maia. I feel like I've been overrating Condit's ability to make Maia work on the ground in the early rounds and get the dynamic changed by the middle of the fight.

Don't get me wrong, Condit is definitely a crafty offensive BJJ guy, but that obviously doesn't play here, and for some reason I had it in my head that he was better than he might actually be from an all around grappling standpoint.

I'm heading to bed.

Just wanted to remind everyone that this is a FOX card, which means it starts earlier than the usual UFC cards.

Due to 2 fights getting canceled, this fight card will start at 2pm PST / 5pm EST. It was originally supposed to start one hour earlier than that.

My final bets:

- 20 bucks on Condit (10+10)
- 10 bucks on Barzola
- 15 bucks on Pettis

Awad vs Anderson was an awesome fight. Really surprised how Bendo looked. When he left the UFC I still considered him a top 5 LW, he should have won against Cerrone. How he was on his way to losing to a fringe top 10/15 FW? wth.

Condit - Fights a flip but picking Condit because I like him more

Pettis - I think his TDD is good enough to avoid the grappling with Aloe Vera, and Aloe Vera reaaaally doesn't like to get hit and Pettis is a sniper. Hope Pettis looks good, a rejuvenated Pettis would be a good add to the mix at 145.

FWIW, I think Oliveira has better take downs than Eddie Alvarez.

If Pettis doesn't get a quick knockout, Oliveira will probably surprise you with his taoe downs, especially against someone like Pettis. Pettis has a good wrestling coach, but he won't be able to stop the take downs if it goes to R2, imo.

I thought Pettis's body looked fine. It's just that his face being extra sucked in made his profile look like some weird caveman version of himself. Oliveira looked good. Should be fun and hopefully an explosive fight after a minute or two. Hoping Pettis can find a shot to badly hurt Oliveira or finish him by end of r1 or middle of two

Rawlings looked pretty deathly at the real weigh in but I guess she always has a tough cut? Either way the speed/athletisicm gap for PVZ should be pretty massive

Someone mentioned how good Maia's chain wrestling is. Made me remember how often I think an opponent is gonna shake off his initially weak looking takedown attempt only to see Maia still somehow holding on to a limb or two a good 6 seconds later before he drags the guy down. Going to go small on Condit though to trust in Condits ground defense and hope for the combination of a little damage being done at the beginning of rounds with Condit making Maia work for each position so his cardio advantage can come into play. Admittedly that last bit is very hopeful. Never seen someone move from position to position and control his opponent so effortlessly like Maia

I'm on Bochniak and PVZ. Pretty tiny wagers on Pettis and Condit though I also picked up Pettis in the majority of my dk lineups

Prob fish move hoping for the showtime revival but whatever

I could end up being totally wrong, but I think Pettis/Oliveira will go to a decision. I picked Oliveira by decision on my UFC.com fantasy picks.

I'll post my DK teams in a bit.

Great job by Alvey. He really showed improvement in this fight, even though it might not have seemed like it at first glance.

I've seen Kevin Casey fight just about each time ever since his TUF season and I've never been impressed by a single thing the guy has ever done.
