Some nice defense considering oliveira had his back full on 3 times. He seemed mostly well prepared here

Got em Pettis

Pettis is a boss, oliveira had his back and he reversed it 3 times from a very bad position. He looked gassed in round 2 tho.

Pettis with the luckbox submission. He was on his way to losing a decision.

Had a feeling this would happen as much as i didnt want it to. Hedged out of an earlier bet on condit

Probably woulda been better off giving up mount than his back. Condit was fucked realistically either way i think his equity there was quite low wishful thinking aside

Was Maia's choke under the chin? I couldn't tell.

Anyway, I'm glad it ended fast. It would've been a boring fight if Condit was able to defend.

Condit took a massive risk fighting Maia. He wanted that instant title shot if he won this fight, but now he will retire for sure like he was gonna do after the robbery loss to Lawler.

Na it was a face wrap, maybe squeezing the sides of the neck.

Respect to maia for at least acting like it wasnt the easiest fight of his life.

If you fight maia you should prolly do some quick sprints around the inside of the octagon before and after the bell rings to break a nice sweat. Make sure u got a solid gastank and sacrifice a little of it to not get snap choked out by that fucking human snake

DraftKings: Risked $20, won $15, lost -$5.

Basically, Shane Campbell cost me from having a good night. He's just terrible. Regarding Oliveira, the fight was going the way I expected it to, and imo, he was on his way to winning a decision b4 Pettis got that submission. Also, I didn't have Chad Laprise in any teams cuz he's known as a decision fighters, not a R1 KO artist. Lastly, I didn't have Maia in a bunch of teams cuz I expected either a decision or a late finish, but I was wrong there; glad I faded Condit for the most part.

I went 8-2 on my picks, so I'm happy that I was able to read most of the fights.

I start my first semester of my teaching credential classes next week, so I won't be doing much research for my upcoming picks on DK. That being said, less research might be a good thing, considering Summer 2016 was the most I've ever watched tape/studied fighters, and it ended up being my longest losing streak on DK.

Maia just said his submission wasn't a crank, it was a choke; a blood choke. He cut off the blood flow to the side of the neck.

aw man so disappinted with the outcome of oliveira-pettis. I didn't want pettis to lose the 4th in a row but still i had to root for charles. such a shame he was caught. on the other side im also happy pettis won. I think he definitely lives up to his nickname showtime and has some very quick and sneaky subs.

im a regular at nl5
