- Nordine Taleb was expected to face Alan Jouban at the event, but pulled out on June 7 due to injury. He was replaced by promotional newcomer Belal Muhammad.

Its w/e since alvarez will get smashed worse than Pettis and be forgotten
Hmmm I think RDA is a bit overrated and I think Alvarez at +325 is great value

How exactly do you see alvarez winning this? i see no path to victory for him. I think RDA is a good bet at -430.

Thought that line of thinking completely disappeared after he murked Cowboy...looking like the same robot that murked Pettis
I see RDA beating Eddie anywhere he wants to. And probably dishing out serious damage in the course of it

If the normal RDA shows up + nothing fluky happens, Alvarez has no chance.
With that said, he openly admits that he wasn't even able to kick as of a week or two ago and Werdum looked noticeably softer last fight, seems like USADA been popping fools left and right, really seems like they ramped up testing and sort of gave people a grace period last year. Who knows, just speculation.
All I can say is I wouldn't be surprised if a different RDA showed up, even though he looked fine vs Cowboy.
That said, I wouldn't consider betting Alvarez at anything less than 5:1, but I'm staying away from RDA. Can't hate on anyone betting him though, I'd just wait for weigh-ins.
Guess I'm so just so positive RDA was juiced to the gills that I'm waiting for him to show up soft and slow at some point.

I was pretty positive RDA was juiced too. But then he showed up lookin pretty much the same vs Cowboy so I'm operating under the assumption that he's managing to slip by USADA somehow or the very small chance that he's legit and just had a miraculous career / physical resurgence. Either way, Alvarez isn't the one to make me possibly go against RDA even if it were a bit higher than +325

The weigh-ins won't help you. RDA's last fight was post-USADA, and he looked great on the scales. What we didn't get to see was a lengthy performance post-USADA, cuz Cerrone can't handle early pressure. If I was skeptical of RDA, it would be his post-USADA performance outside of R2, not how he looks on the scale, cuz he'll look amazing during the weigh-in. Also, remember that they're doing early weigh-ins now, so RDA will already be re-hydrated by the time we see him.

RDA vs Alvarez
RDA is better everywhere this fight can take place.
I don't even give Alvarez a puncher's chance.
Alvarez's only chance is if post-USADA RDA sucks, but it really didn't appear to be the case against Cerrone.
i'm betting RDA for sure.
Nelson vs. Lewis
Mma math is stupid, especially when its about old fights.
But Nelson destroyed Mitrione
ANd Mitrione Destroyed Lewis.
That being said, i think Nelson has better chin, and better striking, and better ground game.
I like Nelson at -140
That being said, there's a few scary factors...
#1 Lewis is 9 years younger, and probably currently in his prime. Nelson is now 40yo.
#2 Lewis is taller and has a 7 inch reach advantage.
#3 Lewis seems to be improving every fights.
Even then, i still tend toward Nelson.
Jouban vs Muhammad
I don't know this Muhammad guy, but he has 4 decisions in a row in BS leagues so i have doubts he can be trouble for a guy like Jouban.
But i'm guessing Jouban will be a large favorite.
Duffy vs Clarke
Clarke is a good fighter with a lot of heart, but i think he really is not on the level of Duffy
I will bet Duffy unless the odds are ridiculous.

Agree with both of you, RDA is overrated and very likely on the juice

I am on Alvarez here. I like the odds and I think he will give RDA a scrap.
He matches up well with him, imo. Eddie is tough with good wrestling, boxing and movement. RDA wins most likely, but no way he should be that big favorite.
Alvarez line will most likely get even better, so I will wait and lay some money on him.

Alvarez is so unimpressive, no kicks and just boxing/wrestling
Couldn't even finish Melendez and Pettis, both were split decisions
Lost to Cowboy lol
To even think he's got a prayer against RDA is lighting money on fire
You're basically betting on the off-chance the guy is on roids and he's off it now. Even with the USADA testing he murked the guy that beat Alvarez and ragdolled the guys he couldn't win a unanimous decision vs

wtf are you talking about. Couldn't finish Melendez and Pettis, both are top lightweights. It is not like he fought some complete cans.
Cowboy always starts slow, so not sure how RDA would of fared if Cerrone had survived the 1st round. Eddie almost finished him also in their fight in the first round.
RDA did not fare so well against some wrestlers in the past. In his last few fights, there was virtually no threat of a takedown against him. We'll see what happens, but I think Alvarez is underrated here.

^ Posted on June 4, 2016. (notice the boot on Assuncao's foot)
Assuncao suffered a broken ankle at the end of 2014 which had trouble healing, then he went under the knife to fix it. In a Sherdog interview back in January 2016, Assuncao mentioned his doctor has yet to clear him, but expects to be cleared in 5-6 months (around June 2016).
It makes you wonder why he's wearing a cast on his previously injured foot one month before he's scheduled to fight.
