Some guys on Sherdog are doing some research on Assuncao. The picture with the boot on his foot might be old. Erik Silva posted that pic on the same day Faber vs. Cruz fought, so who knows when it was actually taken.

I'll post here when more info is found.

Yea with RDA he is one of the most obvious cases of a guy that got on PEDs that hasn't been caught yet. You just don't make that kinda transformation 30 fights and 10 years into your career without them. Went from a volume striker with mediocre cardio to a super powerful striker with endless cardio.

It's possible Kings has a good enough hook up to beat USADA. RDA has been random tested a lot of times already as has Werdum. Werdum might of looked a little softer but that dudes weight flucuates more than anyone in MMA and he was coming off an injury.

Some dude on Sherdog basically compiles all the data for USADA testing. As you can see RDA is tied for 2nd most tested by them

nice stats

i agree, rda is one of the guys whose performance and body are screaming 'ped' and I also think he is overrated, although he looked great in his last 4-5 fights

If RDA is on peds then he's on PEDS. But if we're going to bet or pick a winner then I'm going with the guy who's murdered the top of the heap and basically killed the soul of showtime Pettis into featherweight. Alvarez was a Bellator champ, and to quote khan :"they're all shit" I'm just basing this on facts and not assumptions of PEDS, if bookies return your money if he's caught or if the USADA gets him before the fight(unlikely since he mollywhopped the shit out of Cerrone) then you hate money. All of Alvarez's wins weren't finishes or even unanimous divisions against guys who RDA has totally destroyed

Why do you think RDA is overrated. He's mauled maybe the best list of strikers of any fighter right now standing in Pettis, Cerrone 2x, Nate, and Bendo. He also has some of the best BJJ in the UFC right now, and wrestling is well above average. He seems to have endless cardio these days and a great chin. Dude seems like just an absolute destroyer in one of the best divisions in MMA.

Well the overall concern is that he's only fought once in the USADA era and it was like 2 minute fight with Cerrone. And they've beefed up testing since then. And the concern is RDA stops taking PEDs and falls back into the good but not great fighter he used to be.

You didnt ask me but I also think he is overrated and I think he is because he has had great matchups lately that fit perfectly his style, he is a sloppy striker and a so-so grappler but he puts an insane amount of pressure, kind of like a more athletic Matt Brown, yeah he beat Pettis who has lost 3 of his last 3 fights.. he beat Cerrone in a fight that doesnt matter much, beat Henderson who is simply too small and hast los 3 of his last 5 fights etc

Cerrone is 9-1 in his last 10 how does that fight not matter? How is Henderson too small for LW, he is a big LW who is now fighting at WW and was one of the best LWs ever record wise, his only legit losses at LW was Pettis and RDA ( should of beat Cerrone ) and was still a top 5 LW when he began fighting at WW. Oh and he also destroyed Nate Diaz.

RDA's striking is sloppy? He ran through Pettis, Cerrone 2x, Nate and Bendo striking and you think he has sloppy striking? You think that's all just because he's aggressive? lol. And weak grappling? Did you see what he did to Diaz? I think you crazy.

Khabib might be able to grapple fuck him, but he's an absolute monster in his current form.

the 2nd cerrone fight was meaningless he got caught in the opening seconds, he ran through Pettis because Pettis folds quickly against pressure fighters, even Alvarez who isnt a pressure fighter just went aggro and beat Pettis in the sme way, Nate style is very easy to counter, he wins because people fight into his style, and About Bendo I have no fucking clue wtf I was thinking at the time lol total Brain Fart but still he has been losing all his fights lately, he just lost to a nobody.

Im not saying RDA is bad, he is the champ obviously he is a monster all im saying is that things have aligned just right for him to look better than he is.

Benson lost to RDA, Donald Cerrone, and Andrey Koreshkov in his last 5 fights. RDA was a legit loss; Cerrone was a big robbery which everyone is already aware of, even Cerrone knows it was a bad decision; and Koreshkov isn't a nobody, he is a beast who can beat most of the UFC's top 10 fighters, including Rory.

Regarding RDA, you should focus less on how much his opponents suck in certain areas of MMA, and focus on how much of a bad match-up RDA is for his opponents. RDA's last 4 opponents are usually seen as difficult fighters to beat when they're fighting people not named Rafael dos Anjos.

I think RDA is a great fighter don't get me wrong. I just think he isn't some kind of killer or beast like people are saying kinda often. I could totally picture pettis and bendo beating him if they fight again imo. And yea I want to watch a full fight from him after USADA because I have a feeling the rules will have an effect in his performance. I could be wrong thou.

I think you're trying too hard to discredit him here. He steamrolled Cowboy, Cerrone didn't run into a punch like Aldo, RDA just ran him over. He absolutely mauled Pettis like nobody ever has, while Alvarez beat him in a split decisions that a lot of people think Pettis won. Not to mention RDA destroying Pettis could definitely be a part of Pettis decline. and he finished Bendo in the first round who'd never been finished by strikes.

I think you anti-RDA guys are giving way too much credit to Alvarez and so little credit to a LW monster who has destroyed top names. Alvarez barely won in his fights, if RDA is going to lose it's going to be only because he's off PEDS and reverts to a shell of his past self. The guy beats the confidence out of fighters even if they are on long streaks and come in with supreme confidence. His striking if anything is underrated and his kicks are very hard ones which seems to be overlooked a lot. He also doesn't receive too much damage even when up against really high level strikers which you can't just simply reduce to being overly aggressive. Going HAM on Pettis for 5 rounds without letting up does smell like PEDS don't get me wrong, but if youre betting against him thats the only out you have here.

You are right, I am downplaying his victories more because I think that he is overrated than the other way around, still he doesnt impress me much Id like to see him in a difficult fight for him and come ahead in a war, then ill be convinced.

I dont think any of us is thinking Alvarez is going to win, he is one of the weakest opponents RDA has faced... we want to see Khabib
