I did terrible today in the grand scheme of things. I won $8 from one of my three teams, so I only lost -$1 in the end.

Overall, I really liked the players on all 3 of my teams, but most of them didn't perform to the best of their abilities. I'll probably use all of the same players on Saturday, since all of the same teams will be playing that day.

is there more merit to diversifying lineups in baseball as opposed to basketball because of the variance (just referring to cash)? when i started with basketball i would make a bunch of different lineups, but then started sticking with 1 or 2 per night because i got tired of being in spots where i was rooting for someone in one lineup and fading him in the other. but baseball seems weird and different. thoughts?

I've been wondering the same thing in general for all sports. All I seemed to find was some people do and some don't. So I just been rocking 1 lineup. I know gpps i usually make a couple but not completely different.

lmao... The last 10 minutes of the Nashville vs. Chicago game was fucking bullshit... Chicago let them score 3 fucking goals in 2.5 minutes, which wiped out any money I might have made tonight...

Since I had 2 teams with a lot of Chicago players on them, I did terrible tonight. So far in the playoffs, there has been ZERO consistency by any of the players over the past 3 days... ZERO...

edit - Who do you think is best star to pay up for today? Harden,curry or AD? I'm thinking its a harden day today.

i lost track of time today and didn't start watching until halftime of Tor/Wash so missed the deadline =[

little late now but i think they all are (were) pretty close in expectation. probably would've been frantically going through stats and old box scores and randomly spazz-picking one, maybe leaning Curry/Harden.

i like Dirk and Dwight tonight i think, and if Parsons sits definitely Monta. i think Gasol should be solid too.

fwiw there's a decent chance i would've taken Lowry earlier had i played so take this with a grain of salt :s

yea i had a lot of lowry tonight. Have a lot of dirk as well. Had gortat/bogut as my C in most lineups. Gortat kind of failed tho lol. Today pretty meh so far though. Lost all my early baseball games and sucking in these nba gpps for the most part. HOpefully the late slate mlb treats me better :D

Ended up with $1 profit due to my second team, so that's better than nothing.

I don't have time to watch any games tomorrow, so I'm gonna skip Day 5. It'll give me more time to research for Day 6.

was worried when i was the only guy in my pool with Thompson but so far he's had a nice game. might end up regretting not paying up for a better center though, i was rushing to make a lineup at the last second and i knew Celtics were bad vs centers, Grizz/Blazers should be low-scoring so i passed on Gasol and i had some concerns that Pop might hack Deandre out of the game. didn't even think about Horford but maybe he would've been a solid pick. Danny Green hasn't played that great lately but i think he should get his chances in a high-scoring game and he filled out the cap perfectly with the other guys i had.

feel reasonably good about the rest of my guys.

Take a day or two off. I took yesterday off from the NHL playoffs, and the guys I would've bet on would've earned me a ton of points (Chicago Blackhawks), which is something they hadn't done in the two previous games. Granted, they are popular picks by fantasy bettors, but these popular players weren't performing until last night.

I have two teams for tonight's matches, but I'm still finalizing them atm.

I'm not done just yet with basketball but definitely not playing these 2 game slates. But i guess you're right it is pretty much just pick which star goes off.

I'm sucking it up big time in baseball.Hurry up football

Early update: 10.3 points with 1 game to go... Terrible.

Both my teams lost, no way to break even.

im running really good on short slates for some reason, and so-so on big ones. i think that means my karma is powerful but my skill isn't that good yet. but probably sample size more than anything.

theres just little to no edge in nba playoffs. almost every lineup that spends the money is flipping. without any strong value plays you are really hamstringed with lineup selection. its ok, i still had a big season. basically won or broke even every day since the all star break. very few bad days. even the first 2 days of playoffs werent that bad.

still suck at baseball though.

-iwakuma was the biggest favorite in vegas, astros had lowest team total and he was cheaper than some other pitchers so he seemed like the clear choice. hes looked bad so far, but i trust vegas more than myself
-liked tigers stack. righties vs sabathia seemed like a good idea, didnt work out.
-other guys seemed like strong value plays. wanted to play more rockies/padres, but its really hard to fit everyone in. the padres i wanted were kemp and norris, but preferred victor martinez to have more tigers and kemp was hard to fit with my other guys. oh well

just frustrating that i cant tell if im a fish or unlucky so far
