Fat people are basically drug addicts. It's hard to give full respect to someone who doesn't respect themselves.

Also I disagree with the guy in here who states that all fat people are funny/sociable/good people. I've seen dumb, asshole fat people and very kind, funny beautiful people.

There are many, many reasons to exercise and eat healthy. Very few reasons not to.

I'll leave you guys with a quote from Socrates(he's pretty much never wrong):

No citizen has a right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training...what a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

Socrates (469 - 399 BC)

I think that is a pretty solid quote, I hadn't heard it before but it represents one of the reasons that I began exercising again. Not sure if it should be a law or anything.. ;o

alot of people are poor because of bad habbits and abd environments

lets stay poor and do nothing about it! ''its not my fault''

tsss

Thats far from true, even in the most optimal enviroment where every human being strives for progress in form of $ with our current system the majority of the planet's population will still be poor. The whole system must be changed which is kind of harder than going to the gym or jogging

In his quote, he is referring to citizen. Citizens were a small part of the population of Greece, they were the one in charge of society, leading the "polis". And they had nothing else to do than this.

Slavery permitted slaveowners to have substantial free time, and enabled participation in public life.[17] Polis citizenship was marked by exclusivity. Inequality of status was widespread; citizens had a higher status than non-citizens, such as women, slaves or barbarians.

I prefer Séma Sôma as a greek quote. Sôma standing for the body, and Séma for the soul. And it would mean that the body is a tomb for the soul. So that one should not "listen" to his body but to his soul. Pythagorre and other ascetics would apply this.

people don't really have open mind to understand how addictions affects everyone differently. Also (judging by the posts here) people have no clue the influence DNA has on our behaviors.

It's easy (and fucking retarded) to think that everything is possible with will power. (that's if your environment + education + genes even thought you what will power is).

It s cool guys, keep living in little world where everything can be understood through your own perception and if someone stopped eating badly, that means everyone can do it. Right?

I wish one of your guys had children if I could kick them in the fucking head or stomp on their testicles so you can feel my pain because thats the pain I have waking up everyday -- Mike Tyson

My mentality was that of Independence. I remember thinking these gym jockeys were wasting their lives/hours working towards something as insignificatn as beauty when there are so many more valuable things in life

Thanks for that post. Some people here need to turn 12 and learn to "take care of their fucking business".
