Boxing is pathetic nowadays, but people have always been beating 20+ cans to get their record up in the beginning, before facing top competition.
What Canelo did is the same thing all Mexican fighters have done, even Julio Cesar Chavez. Chavez's son is the real pussy, he will probably never face a top fighter and is dodging Canelo.

Why not? Cotto has had a great career so far and if it wasn't for the first margarito fight cotto could still be undefeated. that whole scandal set him back a year or two. Just like in all fighter sports, the average fan likes to dwell on the losses of a fighters career, and not how well they usually do.

Yes, we remember Cotto's two losses very clearly. Why?

- Because he's only had 2 losses ever in his career.
- 1 loss was versus a cheater who denied using plaster in his gloves even though there was photo proof of it. I think it was Mayweather who said a fighter shouldn't have looked like that after that fight, or something along those lines. And, it's not like Cotto was doing bad in the loss to Margarito either.
- The second loss in Cotto's career was to PacMan, who is the #1/#2 p4p fighter in the world. Cotto's cardio and crispness in his skill wasn't as good then as it is now.

PacMan fought the best Cotto at that time, but Cotto has improved since then, PacMan hasn't improved in his last couple fights imo, and looks a little worse. HBO likes to blame PacMan's work in politics for the slight decline in his fight game.

I think that this fight will probably go to decision, unless Cotto can finish him. Mayweather knows Cotto has power, but he isn't scared of it either. Mayweather will just do Mayweather and play defensive and try to do his thing. I see Cotto getting hit, but not KO`ed/TKO`ed.

you have it 100% wrong and everybody in mexico talks about it (well every boxing fan), Canelo is backed by the biggest TV station in latin america (televisa) they are building Canelo and Julio Cesar Chavez JR has way less sponsorship but its a much better fighter but Canelo dodges him, Chavez has wanted that fight for a long time.

If all 3 fights go to 12 rounds, that's like 1 hour each when you include:

- breaks they have before each fight starts
- entrance walk
- 3 minutes x 12 rounds
- breaks in between rounds
- interview after match
- another break before the next fight

So 8pm PST/11pm EST is probably right, but it could always start sooner if the 3 fights before the main fight only go 6 rounds each for example.

Sigh, it'd be the biggest purse in in sporting history if they just agreed to the fight. Mayweather got paid like $34M just for this fight against Cotto and I think it'd easily be $60M each for Pac / May if they just fucking agreed.

Also, I do not think anymore Mayweather has an edge over Pacquiao. The last fights for these guys has been the first time where they've been actually challenged in a long time. I mean, using that logic then I can make the same argument for Pacquiao and how he completely obliterated Cotto whereas Mayweather, for the first time in his career, got fucked up. I always thought Mayweather had an edge on Pacquiao but I just don't see it anymore. Pacquiao will always throw out combinations on a fighter that they have never seen coming and won't even notice them until the 8th round where all of a sudden their legs are wobbly :D. Are you sure u saw the right fight? Cotto barely landed any punches and was getting counterpunched the hell out of him. I'm very impressed by cotto's chin, I think he coulda gotten knocked out by some of mw's punches. Well in this case you are the one saying Hendricks is a threat to GSP... Cotto was never a serious threat to Mayweather, as usual Mayweather played it super cautiosly if he opened up just a bit he would have knocked him out

Whatever I said above was supposed to mean this:

- Cotto lost. He got out-struck by a better fighter. I'd still take Cotto in a rematch vs. Pacquiao.
- Koscheck is overrated, and lost to Hendricks.
- Hendricks is a clone of Koscheck at the moment, but, he's still young his career and can improve, unlike the stubborn Koscheck.
- Both Koscheck and Hendricks are not a threat to GSP.
